Did not know he was faking his... old age feeble-mindedness.
You see him acting normal in scenes in both season 1 and 2. In season 1 when he stretches and limbers up before going into feeble mode. In season 2 when Tyrion arrests him and he puts up a big fight.

I'd get depressed at so many people not seeing me for what i am, no matter if i was scheming anything. I couldn't hear it, but is his entire reasoning just that he wants to stay at court?

wouldn't the whores know that he isn't old? like i get that people wouldn't really trust a whore's opinion but really
it's been a while since i've read the books but was the grand maester always faking his crippling state and shit? [editline]26th July 2013[/editline] like, in the books i mean

Indira Varma cast as Ellaria Sand: http://insidetv.ew.com/2013/07/25/game-of-thrones-rome-actress/
Indira Varma cast as Ellaria Sand: http://insidetv.ew.com/2013/07/25/game-of-thrones-rome-actress/
They're bent on hiring the entire cast of Rome, aren't they? :v:
They're bent on hiring the entire cast of Rome, aren't they? :v:
Hopefully! Now we just need Ray Stevenson as Victarion, James Purefoy as Euron, Kevin McKidd as Jon Connington and Ian McNeice as Wyman Manderly.
Victarion maybe have been cut (or it was just some promo graphic mistake). There's an image floating around of "House Greyjoy" with just Euron and Balon
Indira Varma cast as Ellaria Sand: http://insidetv.ew.com/2013/07/25/game-of-thrones-rome-actress/
yessss more cast of rome is never a bad thing
Victarion maybe have been cut (or it was just some promo graphic mistake). [editline]26th July 2013[/editline]
Hopefully!
Victarion maybe have been cut (or it was just some promo graphic mistake). There's an image floating around of "House Greyjoy" with just Euron and Balon
What? How? Victarion is the most badass of all the Greyjoys and a moderately plot needed later in the story, how would it even work without him?
What? How? Victarion is the most badass of all the Greyjoys and a moderately plot needed later in the story, how would it even work without him?
They cut gregor out of season 3 I don't think they'll have any trouble cutting victarion.
Gregor wasn't needed in season 3 anyway, he'll pretty important to 4 though.
But victarion is in all those scenes that the show writers seem to like. He drinks wine with his enemies, complains a lot, spouts bullshit as he kills people and so on and so forth. But yeah, you're right... at some point they looked like they weren't even going to put the reeds in. How many of them have even read the books?
I think they're intentionally diverting from the books to create a unique viewing experience while still remaining loyal to the feel, major events, themes, and characters. It's how Marvel adapts it's comics to films. It's how they're doing Walking Dead. It's how any good adaptation is made. You've got to take this fictional world and recreate it on the screen. A lot of things that work great in books are terrible on screen. I think GOT is a great adaptation for that reason. I think GRRM said something similar recently too.
Hopefully!
Just started season two. Not sure if I like the direction the series is going, but I'll keep watching. I know it eventually gets better as it goes.
Direction?? wtf?
yea it is kinda slow in the beginning but when you watch the second half of the season it pays off [editline]27th July 2013[/editline] hey polly, i've been reading the saxon stories, pretty good
Melisandre isn't very interesting to me either. Just a basic bullshit 'fortune teller' in my opinion. Does she become a force to be reckoned with eventually? I haven't read the books.
hey polly, i've been reading the saxon stories, pretty good
Me too. And I've done it again, gotten really into a book series only to find out that it's not finished. At least Cromwell doesn't have a six year book cycle.
Melisandre isn't very interesting to me either. Just a basic bullshit 'fortune teller' in my opinion. Does she become a force to be reckoned with eventually? Well when you say it like that...
no not at all she's just some random side character that gets killed off later nope no not at all does nothing interesting whatsoever.
I don't even care this isn't spoiler tagged because she's THAT uninteresting to me.

She'l probably dies some ironic death. Like falling into a fire. If she doesn't die by fire then i can imagine she'd probably complain about not dying by fire.
