So I almost read A Storm of Swords Part I: Steel and Snow and I bought the Part II: Blood and Gold. Now, this one has a cover that I have not seen before on any release, in my opinion it looks pretty awesome. I think it is some sort of decorative Lannister shield. Take note this is a localized version of the book. [t]http://i.imgur.com/DzHKrjr.jpg[/t]
Somebody forced me to watch G O T first show of first season and said I'd like it. I hate TV shows and sat throuigh it in protest. I've just binged myself through the whole lot, yes all 3 series in just over a week and I need a fucking fix so bad now. How did a drawf totally outclass an entire A grade cast like that? This thing is amazing.
so I've been binge watching Game of Thrones the last few days and I'm up to season 2, I have to say that I saw poor [sp]Sean Bean's death coming a mile away[/sp] jauffery is a little prick
I have to say that I saw poor [sp]Sean Bean's death coming a mile away[/sp]
Admit it, [sp]it was as soon as you saw it was Sean Bean.[/sp]

I finally started watching this. I'm going to try and finish it before season four starts.

Huh. I thought we'd at least be waiting another season before seeing the Titan of Braavos.
Holy mother of fuck, I need to hurry up with the damn books.
From 0:20-21, that looks like Bronn sparring with Jaime if I'm not mistaken. I was hoping to see some Ilyn Payne scenes with Jaime from the book. Just looked up some info about Ilyn Payne's actor on the GoT wiki and Wikipedia and it says:
On January 9, 2013 actor Wilko Johnson announced that he had been diagnosed with terminal cancer of the pancreas. He said he would not be seeking treatment and announced plans for a series of farewell gigs in the UK. On 25 January 2013, he gave an interview to John Wilson on the BBC Radio 4 arts programme Front Row. He discussed his terminal cancer, and said that doctors have told him he has nine or ten months to live. He talked about his "farewell tour" of the UK set for March, and how his diagnosis has made him feel "vividly alive". After the tour was over he announced he would spend his final days recording a farewell album with The Who's lead singer Roger Daltrey. The album, Going Back Home, is due to be released in March 2014. Johnson's declining health has apparently led to him being gradually phased out of the TV series. He only appeared in one episode of Season 2 ("Blackwater"), and did not appear in Season 3 at all. Then again, Ser Ilyn did not prominently appear in the first half of the third novel either (which was adapted as Season 3). Given that Ser Ilyn cannot speak or convey his thoughts through writing, he does not have particularly major presence in the storyline, but he is usually seen hovering around in the background at Joffrey's royal court.
That's pretty damn sad, but at least he's going out on his own terms :(
Damn those new Cities look pretty awesome, that giant Statue is perfect. The CGI(I assume) is really well made, for the Cities.
Book 3/Season 3 (And 4) spoilers [sp]With the War of Five Kings all but over I'm really looking forward to the major shift in tone and focus towards the Wall and the East[/sp]
I finally finished all three seasons. it was okay i guess
I think season 4 will be the best one so far, not that I didn't like any of the other seasons.
I hope the white walkers actually do something for a change instead of just showing up then disappearing.
I hope the white walkers actually do something for a change instead of just showing up then disappearing.
I noticed that, how there was that huge cliffhanger at the end of season 2? But it turned out to be no big deal.
I noticed that, how there was that huge cliffhanger at the end of season 2? But it turned out to be no big deal.
[sp]Aside from destroying the Nights Watch army in the field and leading directly to the death of the Old Bear at the hands of the last of his men[/sp]
It wasn't a big "Oh shit" moment that I was expecting, with that build up I was at least expecting to see a fight.
just saw that part where all the angry citizens attack joffrey and his entourage in season 2, holy shit I was not expecting them to tear that fat dude apart with their bare hands
Going to Comic-Con Indianapolis tomorrow and Arya is doing an Q-A session! Cant wait!
Arya is dong
you wish you pervert
I hope the white walkers actually do something for a change instead of just showing up then disappearing.
guess what happens in season 4
Going to Comic-Con Indianapolis tomorrow and Arya is doing an Q-A session! Cant wait!
How was it? I met her chatted a bit the past two days, but didn't make it to any of the panel things. Maisie was super nice and approachable though. Oh wait, you said tomorrow nevermind lol, it's 6:00 a.m. time for sleep.
I can't wait for things to happen in season 4 that people who read the book have already spoiled for me~
The perks of being late to the party, I haven't had anything spoiled.
People how love the TV-show should really consider giving the books a honest chance, they're awesome!
People how love the TV-show should really consider giving the books a honest chance, they're awesome!
I was considering it, but after book 3 all the reviews seem pretty negative
Sounds like dumb reviews Book 4 is a lot slower, and some would say boring, but it really picks up again in book 5. And from there it's just a six year wait before book 6.
I'm almost done reading Book 3 and I also heard that Book 4 is the "weakest" of them all.
