At least he's trying to work out a solution. Better than him just vanishing from the Internet entirely. Patreon should work quite nicely for at least letting him eat and do this fun shit. So are all Youtube partner groups scummy fuckballs? Because I have heard so little good about any of them outside of the few people that are so large they might as well run the partnership group they work under.
There are some that aren't so bad, but yeah a lot of them are, especially the ones related to videogames since they are basically your lifeline against takedown claims.
Dang. He's gonna soar well past the $1000 mark soon.
And done, over $1000. Incredible.

I dont really care for him or his videos, just not my thing, but hes a cool guy. Reminds me of Fitzthistlewits, some funny fucking guy doing game shit on youtube.
Is there a way to disable ads with Adblock for a specific Youtube channel?
Is there a way to disable ads with Adblock for a specific Youtube channel?
right click the extension, go to options, and check "allow whitelisting of specific youtube channels" then go to his channel and click the adblock extension again and the option to whitelist his videos should be there
Rose by $70 and hit exactly 400 patreons between me making an account and clicking the confirmation email.
$2000! Dude's making $24k/year at this rate-- and he's probably going to give a good part of that to charity anyway...
I think it's really cool he donates to charity, but at the same time its completely non-sensical to do so when you in a spot where you can't even provide properly for yourself right now and for your future. If you are jobless for almost a year due to being (unreasonably) picky, not even wanting a fairly painless part time gig, but make all this side money from your YT project, why would you not make that your job? I know this is kind of speaking in hindsight, because he is actually starting to do that. But man, blows my mind it took this long considering how long I've known him to be making videos. I get that he wants to donate to charity, but donating to charity is something you do when you have all your pillars in your life well supported. You need to invest in yourself before you can properly invest in others. Imagine if he did just that all these years, how much better equipped he would be right now (and in his future) to donate to charity. If this YT stuff was truly a side gig then I could get his approach but it honestly isn't and he shouldn't think of it as one. Stuff like this is a lot like love, or investing. In love, you must love yourself before you can love another. Donating 100% of your affection towards someone else is a one way street that leads to a dead end and a personal life that is feels empty. In investing, you must take care of your debts and your emergency savings before thinking about investing in retirement/stocks/whatever, because your debts are more expensive than what you'd gain from retirement, and you always need emergency money in the bank to protect yourself from getting wiped clean if an accident happens. Imagine if he'd taken 100% of the money and applied it to his future instead of charity. He might have set himself up to make 10X what he makes now (either through YT, job opportunities, investments, etc) 10 years down the line and have the capability to donate more to charity than he ever could now. Always invest in yourself and your own debts before investing in others. Not only is it better for you and the people in your life right now, but it also makes more sense in the long run from a charity standpoint. Again, if he was already well established and doing fine for himself with this YT money being just a side gig then I think that's alright, but from this video it seems that wasn't the case. Glad he's starting to invest in himself though finally!
Reminds me of when Plague of Gripes made a patreon. Random farmer from the fuck-center of Kentucky went from a measly pay and having to rely on youtube adverts to nearly 4,000 dollars a month in less than a week. Some people pay him nearly fifty dollars just to have the maximum reward (which is to have him as a contact on skype so you can ask him whatever). People on youtube really underestimate their own popularity. Glad he finally decided to move onto a better service. He'll probably end up giving parts of his Patreon money to charity anyway considering it'll very likely rocket above 3000 soon.
