You're never "ready" for a deliriant. Nor are you ever "in control." Just because you think you're in control doesn't mean that the next time you take it you won't end up killing yourself because you blacked out. And that's why encouraging the use of deliriants in any way is pants on head retarded.
I'm sorry for not being specific enough. I meant you must be ready to endure such an experience. Surely you can do that. I'm not sure what you mean by in control, because there is no "in control" and that's clearly stated anywhere deliriants are discussed. I've never blacked out on any deliriant either unless you mean fall asleep because I've done that a lot, but quite a bit of the experience is often forgotten due to such terrible short term memory loss. Also you're right about killing yourself. Unpredictable thoughts are so bad. I don't mean to mislead but you can seriously mistake your steak knives for a drawer full of ringing cell phones. Which is why I said IF you insist on taking any deliriant and also dissociatives then it's really important to have a trip sitter. I don't really see much recreational use for deliriants but a very interesting class of drugs nonetheless. DPH takes a little bit of nerve to even endure the effects. The feeling is pretty horrendous but it seems to go away for me at higher doses once my brains fucks off. But the hallucinations are pretty frightening. Everything good or bad is so real. I really don't recommend use of deliriants unless you like spiders/bugs/glowing scorpions that slowly float towards your face and disappear, but that's all minor shit compared to random/familiar people/beings coming into your house and carrying on 30 minutes conversations until they decide to leave without saying goodbye. The dysphoria is a loud enough HELLO to scare off most users.

I did 3-MeO-PCP a few days back and I have to say, that was really damn awesome. You just could lay on your bed and go with the flow.
