Powerbocking - The sport that involves the use of spring loaded stilts.

I actually have seen these before, I was walking down the beach in Santa Monica and saw a few guys bouncing down the walking paths on these, I was like to myself "Man, that looks like some fun!"
I would do this if I wasn't afraid I would snap my leg in half.

That guy looks awfully angry about the man taking a picture.
I want some, lol

because of this thread, i just ordered these. Thank you B-hazard
I really don't see anything interesting or remotely entertaining about this.
There's not a single thing these guys do that parkour or free runners can't do without the assistance of spring loaded stilts that... to be honest... make you look like a prancing sissy when you run.
Sure you can run faster and jump higher but that just makes up for your lack of agility to perform stunts you couldn't normally accomplish. Plus you had to spend 700 to 1000 squiggly L's just to do it.
I'm guessing you're a parkour elitist or wannabe.
So it's just powerstilts?
Hahaha you social outcast.

Neither. I just find anyone doing this looks like handicap kid with over sized ankle braces performing worthless tricks.

Without all the nifty editing and cool techno music, everyone looks like this when they've got them on:

Aren't these ungodly expensive?
Dont expect any love from me when your girlfriend posts a thread about you falling and breaking your neck.

Actually, you don't look like that.
You look like that the first time you wear them, after a few days you get jumping and running.
People who have had a background in athletics usually end up flipping within 3-6 months, and average people like me can usually do it within 10-14 months.
In the walk for life video, all of us are just normal people having fun.
Makes you look like a cripple
It looks like fantastic fun, i imagine it being close to trampolining but with more freedom and less back discomfort.
Shame a good set is so expensive though, i wouldn't want to spend 400-500 Euros to find out i don't like it :(
Yeah seriously.
Well it looks bad, BUT it should be cool.
Very cool stuff.
I wanna learn to jump high like those guys.

I felt my life shorten by about 10 years just watching that and thinking how cool it would be to do that.
It's like jumping, except with stilts, and a lot higher.
Sign me up.
Tell me, how much do these cost.
Fooking Prawns.
playing rugby will be awsome in these
I played Basketball in them:
This is Pakour on steroids, it is amazing once you get good at it, and I still keep most of my agility.
I bought my stilts for £80 anyway.
Can you climb/run up a wall in these?
Precision jump?
:c00lbert:
Ungodly bump.

Makes me think at how bad it would hurt falling on these...
I'm surprised how those guys don't wear protective ear.
As long as you wear wrist, elbow and knee pads(and a helmet if you want), it's unlikely you will hurt yourself.
Bump for awesomeness. If any of you go to the FPuk meetups, I'm thinking of bringing my stilts for everyone to try when I get a chance to go.
