I've never even heard of this before.
I wasn't talking about Marina Bay Sands, I'm talking about the residential developments like The Sail and so on. [editline]01:05PM[/editline]
I've never even heard of this before.
Because it's ~the first~ YoG ever.

As far as I know, I agree with everything angel said.
Nope. Nothing changes the fact that Singapore is still a shit country.
You probably never been to Singapore. A matter of personal opinion. You may say Singapore is a terrible country but others might say the opposite. No nation in the world is perfect

Well said my good sir
Meh, I always had the hunch that the drama around this will turn into huge lulz. By the way, Rule 34? It's already been done by the YOG organisers. Take a look at this. Are you serious about the condom bit?
Singapore is cool

I just heard, the Germans just trashed Singapore at Basketball
Seen the swimming competition. Those kids looked like adults. Wait what? No auto merge?
Goddamned runners took their time while I waited in Singapore Poly for the torch light up over here. Could've gotten a few close up shots of the torch relay if I hadn't left my camera back home
I agree. The country didn't even build a stadium for this, let alone an Olympic village. They used a school campus.
The rooms are pretty nice. They can house two people and are air-conditioned.
Yeah, because they kept delaying. Could have used explosives, but nooooo they had to take their time.
The National Stadium was already planned to be torn down BEFORE Singapore was chosen to be the YOG venue. Of course they wouldn't be quick.
Slow kings?

My take on the mascots is that they basically seperated the Merlion (The mascot of Singapore, I believe) into a lion and a mermaid. (Though she has legs...) The names were probably just made up to sound all cutesy and then they wrote a bunch of stuff about how the name represents something.
I rather be watching the Singapore F1 Grand Prix than watching some teens do sports.
The mascots are better than the London ones. I have no fucking clue what they're supposed to be..
