You don't need to look like a supermodel to be popular dude. I'm not trying to sound conceited, but I'm 17 years old 5'4" and 105 lbs, skinny as fuck and I get people who I've barely ever talked to asking to hang out with me quite often. I can be considered one of the most popular people in my senior class. You just have to have good social skills. Plus I generally have a funny guy reputation among my peers so that helps me out too.

Confidence, good looks and dress decently. Get a tan, will also remove pizzaface. Cut your hair, long black hair and a Slayer shirt won't help your popularity. You don't need to be a muscle mountain, but muscles do help.

Zero. I put ass in "" because I didn't mean "be a jock jerk who beats other people and has the intelligence of a howler monkey", I meant "be confident in everything you do and feel (feel, not say you are) superior to everyone else and don't be afraid to make sarcastic remarks on people (with moderation, though), especially girls. Also be ready to help others (but don't be a slave)".
Being the former will get you far in school (as far as popularity goes), but the latter will get you far both in school and in life (as long as those sarcastic comments are sarcastic and not offensive, and you use them with moderation).
