The coconut crab can grow big yes. But that trashcan in the image is probably not that big, and don't worry about the coconut crab its totally harmless.

Man, all these are great (Heard about them all before, the joys of being a zoologist) - if I could, I'd definitely have a Goliath Beetle as a pet. The only one of those to squick me was the giant worm - urgh.
Squid are fucking amazing creatures though, I'm really jealous of my older sister - she graduated earlier this year as a Doctor in Marine Biology and is now working for the government of the Falkland Islands as a Fisheries observer, which is primarily a squid fishery.
