I have a phobia of crabs, and that coconut crab made me shit my pants. But do they really get that big on average? Holy shit.
Are we going to be done quoting those nasty images of the spider bites? it's getting annoying.
I have a phobia of crabs, and that coconut crab made me shit my pants. But do they really get that big on average? Holy shit.
The coconut crab can grow big yes. But that trashcan in the image is probably not that big, and don't worry about the coconut crab its totally harmless.

Man, all these are great (Heard about them all before, the joys of being a zoologist) - if I could, I'd definitely have a Goliath Beetle as a pet. The only one of those to squick me was the giant worm - urgh. Squid are fucking amazing creatures though, I'm really jealous of my older sister - she graduated earlier this year as a Doctor in Marine Biology and is now working for the government of the Falkland Islands as a Fisheries observer, which is primarily a squid fishery.

In the above photo dump, the first animal is known as "Platybelodon", a prehistoric mammoth-like mammal that roamed in swampy areas, and used those lower tusks as a scoop for food. I like Prehistory!
I remember this.
Probably been posted already, but the short faced bear, is IMO one of the most badass prehistoric creatures, up to 2 meters tall On all four legs.
I hate spiders :saddowns:
