Japanese Spider Crab - Thanks Zezibesh for contributing with this creature.
The Japanese spider crab, Macrocheira kaempferi, is a species of marine crab that lives in the waters around Japan. It is the largest arthropod in the world in terms of leg span, reaching up to 3.8 metres (12 ft 6 in) and weighing up to 41 pounds (19 kg). It is the subject of small-scale fishery. It looks like one of those aliens from the movie "The Thing" if you ask me.

Life on planet earth is just plain damn beautiful, yet scary.
Pick some other planet, any other planet, and I wonder what kinda animals we come up with there.
Sagan played around with living hot-air baloons on Jupiter and with divers that would give birth in the low atmosphere so that their small and light offspring coudl ascend through convection currents.
I have a neat book with an alien for every planet.

Cassowaries:

For me one of the coolest birds that exist. They're mostly solitary but if you piss them off they can slice you open with their Velociraptor-like claws, and they are more fast and agile than they look

Look at that smug motherfucker, running around with that smile on its face
Also, the newborn chicks are like the most cute thing ever:

KAPROSUCHUS SAHARICUS

Kaprosuchus is estimated to have been around 6 metres (20 feet) in length.[3] It possesses three sets of tusk-like caniniform teeth that project above and below the skull, one of which in the lower jaw fits into notches in upper jaw. This type of dentition is not seen in any other known crocodyliform. Another unique characteristic of Kaprosuchus is the presence of large, rugose horns formed from the squamosal and parietal bones that project posteriorly from the skull. Smaller projections are also seen in the closely related Mahajangasuchus.
Also, it's legs were fairly advanced, being that they stuck staight beneath it's body, allowing it to run up to the speeed of a RACE HORSE.
And it was a Carnivore.
I'm okay with it being extinct.
And then people call me a loser for not going outside.

Saw the crabs and could only think of this.
Cymothoa exigua
tends to be 3 to 4 centimetres (1.2 to 1.6 in) long. This parasite enters through the gills, and then attaches itself at the base of the spotted rose snapper's tongue. It extracts blood through the claws on its front, causing the tongue to atrophy from lack of blood. The parasite then replaces the fish's tongue by attaching its own body to the muscles of the tongue stub. The fish is able to use the parasite just like a normal tongue. It appears that the parasite does not cause any other damage to the host fish.
DAMN, NATURE! YOU SCARY!
There are very creepy creatures in the OP yet very cool ones after that. very nice.
