The thing that amazes me that this creature can actually see in twelve colors (humans see in only three, red, green and blue) and can distinguish between different forms of polarized light.

I feel like mother nature has ripped me off now. What are the other nine colours I'm missing out on?
I feel like mother nature has ripped me off now. What are the other nine colours I'm missing out on?
We can see only 3 primary colors, red, green and blue. The rest of the different colors are a mix of these main 3, like yellow, pink, brown etc, etc.

This tropical polychaete worm, armed with thousands of bristles covering his body, can permanently numb humans with its sting. Its a huge worm.

Camel spider
Giant Camel Spiders have been known to run around 10 MPH. Although most Camel Spiders are about the size of a credit card, they have been know to grow larger than 10 inches, especially in the deserts of the Middle East. Camel Spiders are common in the Middle East, but they can also be found in the southwest U.S. and Mexico. The Mexican's call Camel Spiders matevenados, which translates to"deer killers" in English. They are not venomous but can leave a terrible wound if bitten.

I take it the little mantis shrimp can see colours beyond the main three then? Or by 'colours' does it just mean sensitivity to different kinds of light, like UV or laser light?
Here are some nice pics of camel spiders :3:

goddamnit, my spelling sucked 2 years ago
Vampire squids are creepy as fuck. Period. When he spreads open the cloak, it looks like a fucking demonic toothy mouth. Hungry.

I think so yes. If i am not mistaken it can see infrared light so it has a pretty acid vision.
For fuck's sake... this thread is more painful than anything I have seen on fp..

Camel spiders are not true spiders, though they are arachnids.
And some species of it's family do contain venom despite long being believed to not be venomous..

I can't help but laugh at this.
Oh. Maybe the wound got infected, then. In that environment, infections come easily.
So not only do you know nothing about spiders while claiming to, you know nothing of medical issues.
Living in a dry arid climate makes you substantially less prone to infection.
Thanks for the cephalopod pics, now I'm happy. :3:

YOUR CRAZY MAN
im not troling
It always neat just looking at your own body and how humans have evolved over years and years.
Like you know that little bit of skin type tissue in the corner of your eye? (not the tear duct) that is the remnant of a now undeveloped useless 3rd eyelid.

Also you know how most animals have a penis bone?
Humans actually still have a bone, but I forget the exact length but it is like 10mm and really small.

Yes we are descended from monkeys. And after i said that, there probably going to be raging Creationists who will argue about this.
EDIT:
Please don't start any arguing about religion, god and evolution, do it somewhere else.
Giant Salamander - Thanks to IWHeadHunter
The hellbender and Asian giant salamanders (family Cryptobranchidae) are aquatic amphibians found in brooks and ponds in the United States, China, and Japan. They are the largest living amphibians known today. The Japanese giant salamander (Andrias japonicus), for example, reaches up to 1.44 metres (4.7 ft), feeds on fish and crustaceans, and has been known to live for more than 50 years in captivity. The Chinese giant salamander (Andrias davidianus) can reach a length of 1.8 metres (5.9 ft).
