http://www.japanesebugfights.com/
That's just wrong. If they would host battles between bears, lions, crocodiles or what ever predator Then people would react. Even if they are insects they shouldn't be treated like something you can kill for amusement, its sadistic to think this is entertainment. FYI people who react to this i have killed bugs when they are Inside my house. But i don't go out and squash them for my own amusement. And to make a TV show about insects from different parts of the world fighting each other is just wrong.
Thats an Aligatorpike its the worlds biggest freshwater fish. i belive it can weigh about 200-300kg and can be up to 6 meters long. lives in southern america :) (freshwater predator that is)
Arapaima gigas is the biggest freshwater fish in the world.(at 8.5 feet) Some unconfirmed reports say it can easily get to 14.5 feet, but due to over fishing, and slow growth rate, you hardly ever see them get past 6-8 feet. Some debate the Mekong Catfish (biggest recorded was 9 feet, though they say it can get up to 3 meters) is though. Arapaima: Mekong(largest specimen): They are both huge fish, and can probably reach sizes of well over 3 meters, given the best conditions. And Alligator Gar, and Alligator Pike (Atractosteus spatula) are the same thing. They get huge, and are demonized for attacking humans. They are pretty much seen as the shark of the freshwater lake. It's pretty sad what humanity can do because of one unconfirmed attack from an unknown fish. They take the scariest fish they can find and demonize it to the point of endangerment. Shit, I know people from around the world who have each one of these fish in a tank or pond.
I'd have so much fun with coconut crabs if they lived here. I'd prod them with a stick, until they raised their claw in defense.. at which point I'd put the stick in their claw and watch them crush it.
Yes we are descended from monkeys. And after i said that, there probably going to be raging Creationists who will argue about this. EDIT: Please don't start any arguing about religion, god and evolution, do it somewhere else.
We didn't directly come from Monkeys, Monkeys are our ecological cousins. We come from something else. [editline]10:34PM[/editline]
I'd have so much fun with coconut crabs if they lived here.
We didn't directly come from Monkeys, Monkeys are our ecological cousins. We come from something else.
True, but you get what I'm saying.
I remember seeing this bad boy on Daily Planet: The Boar Croc From the top of my head: Lived several million years ago somewhere along the Nile, could run up to speeds almost as fast as a cheetah. Fucking awesome, and scary. The dude featured on Daily Planet with several other Crocodillian ancestors. (Boar Croc top right)
I hate alligator gar, you can tell me how they purr like mice all you want but I'd rather swim with a tiger shark than one of those things.
Nope, camel spiders. Google plz.
because google is NEVER misleading. Here's a more feasible camel spider bite that I got by looking up "camel spider bite" on google. But even that might not be one, just like the ones you posted.

Unlikely, but you can always hope :3:

Oh, and I cannot believe people have not mentioned the Liger. Although, unnatural and artificially created, it is still an amazing beast. Cross-bred between a lion and a tiger (duh). Fucking massive pussy. I believe there's only one or two in existence, currently. It's like Shere Khan and Mufasa's love child.
That thing could feed all of Africa.
They are a threaten species. And they don't live in Africa. They live in Indonesia.
They are a threaten species.
Makes me wonder what species have died out during the existence of human kind.
Goliath Beetle The world's largest Beetle, Goliath Beetle(Goliathus regius). Lives in African rain forests. [IMG_thumb]http://i45.tinypic.com/2vb8x7t.jpg[/IMG_thumb]
This guy would make an awesome pet. I mean, just look at the little fella'.
I'd have so much fun with coconut crabs if they lived here.
Makes me wonder what species have died out during the existence of human kind.
There dies species everyday, most species we haven't discovered yet.
I hate alligator gar, you can tell me how they purr like mice all you want but I'd rather swim with a tiger shark than one of those things.
So you would rather swim with an apex predator that is 14 feet long, has a bite force strong enough to crack a turtle like an egg, serrated teeth, and a reputation for eating anything and everything... rather than a common lake dwelling fish that is virtually harmless to humans?

But if i am correct, species who are in the same family but not the same species which breed wouldn't get a offspring that would be able to reproduce? Like horse + donkey = mule + mule = nothing... EDIT: Angry female lion not enjoying tiger humping. And yeah for you people who want to know more about Liger and Tigon: A liger is a hybrid between a male lion (Panthera leo) and a female tiger (Panthera tigris). A tigon is a hybrid between a male tiger (Panthera tigris) and a female lion (Panthera leo). These are the biggest cats recorded in the history. Male Liger: Make me a sandwich!
Just hot air. I'm not sure, I have never heard of that.
I found out that hybrids cant reproduce. BUT i also read that some certain hybrids seems to be able to make offspring's that can reproduce. I didn't get the name of those creatures tough.
Why am I still reading this thread, I am going to have nightmares for the rest of my life.
Why am I still reading this thread, I am going to have nightmares for the rest of my life.
You have to understand that most creatures are more afraid of you than you are of them. And most people who are attacked by some of these creatures have either been in their territory or have irritated them, and most people are aware of it. And as i have mentioned before its unlikely you will encounter these creatures. So basically there are nothing to worry about. Edit: Unless you are Steve Irwin and want to poke every living thing with a stick in the name of science. RIP Steve Irwin.

Thalassomedon: This prehistoric beast is a Plesiosaur variation and was about 40 feet long. It also had a long snout and teeth that were up to 5 cm long. Its strangely long neck was about 20 feet long with 63 vertebrae. It was discovered in 1939 in the Graneros Shale of Baca County, Colorado.
hey look what i found
