Never Let Me Go - 7.9/10 quoted from IMDB: Bittersweet. Poignant. Profound. Perfect. depressing soundtrack too :(
So fucking underrated [editline]29th April 2013[/editline] Iron man 3 8/10 fantastic movie, lovely CGI, awesome characters. But you know what bugs me? This is the kind of movies that mainstream people watch. I get annoyed when all they post about is how awesome Iron man 3 is, and if you talk about some other movies, they ignore you because its too long/draggy/boring.
we bought a zoo was cute but nothing special 3 unappealing scarlet johanssons out of 5
the ending kind of pierced me a bit harder and I'm not sure why.
for me it's the idea that by trying to help someone, you can make things much, much worse
for me it's the idea that by trying to help someone, you can make things much, much worse
glad it happened in chinatown though otherwise he would have been monumentally suicidal.
glad it happened in chinatown though otherwise he would have been monumentally suicidal.
what you really think he'd take that advice and "forget it"? It's supposed to be ironic. Jake still hasn't really recovered from that previous business in Chinatown, so I doubt he's gonna forget this little fiasco.
Star Trek The Next Generation Season 2 - 6.5/10 Though while more decent than Season 1, the addition of Dr. Pulaski ruins most of the season. There are some good episodes, I thought the Borg's first appearance was a bit too early in the Q episode. I'll just get it over with, the worst of this season that I couldn't bear to watch was Shades of Gray. There were alot of cheesy episodes too (The Royale, The Child, The Outrageous Okona, The Dauphin). Perhaps the best episodes in this season were Measure of a Man, The Emissary and The Schizoid Man. Overall, the season wasn't bad or good but I'll tell you Dr. Pulaski fucking ruins most of the season. Her formula with the TNG cast is so ugly, I don't know why Gates McFadden wasn't in this season. Gummo - 8.5 out of 10. What a strange directionless movie. It feels like the film has a life of its own. Very graphic and might be disturbing for many, but it's well worth a shot if you're a fan of his newer movie 'SpringBreakers' [editline]29th April 2013[/editline] Also 'I Stand Alone' a french movie that came out in 1998. 7 out of 10. It resembles Taxi Driver in so many ways. Except its even more fucked up and depressing lol

Was kind of ironic, but a real reaction from such an event.
Alien 3 This movie is really a stepdown to the previous movies, it was okay and had some really good parts. But it seems like the movie is not sure what it wants to be, with all the prisoners and the morality. It did not have a real alien vibe. Also the movie gets a bit irritating during the end because you don't get much explanation. Also the surviving crew gets killed off right from the start, also how did an egg get into the ship. Movie is worth a watch but it's definitly weaker than the previous ones.
Watched "Never let Me Go" after reading about it here. Didn't like it. The characters were so.... dumb. The whole drama is based on artificial problems, not artificial as in "made up like Star Trek" but artificial within its own world. All the time I was thinking "god why aren't they focusing on the REAL issues!?" Apart from that Logans Run and The Island did a much better job at the material.
i just finished watching burn after reading it was pretty good and then the ending was just so underwhelming
The Expendables 2 10/10 I know some people hate this movie, but it was never meant to be a "serious" action movie. It's just pure over the top action fun all along, with an amazing cast. And just like the first one, it was really great and fun to watch.
[sp]them dealing with living a short life is an artificial issue?[/sp]
They never questioned it. It's like having the steering wheel stolen and wondering how you're gonna use the signal horn now.
They never questioned it. It's like having the steering wheel stolen and wondering how you're gonna use the signal horn now.
They were pretty much brainwashed. That's what the first part of the movie is all about.

I based it on how much I enjoyed and liked the movie when I saw it.
They were pretty much brainwashed. That's what the first part of the movie is all about.
Them not questioning it is exactly the artificial issue I'm, talking about. They may have been brainwashed but they still are able to draw logic conclusions. And they didn't do that.
Well 10/10 is my subjective rating. I based it on how much I enjoyed and liked the movie when I saw it.
So, it's one of the greatest films that you've ever seen?
The Road 10/10 Taxi Driver 8/10
Stephen Kings The Stand - 7.1248264/10
So, it's one of the greatest films that you've ever seen?
No.
10/10 is the kind of thing I would only give to like 3 or 4 films ever since it's impossible to go above If something is 10/10 it, in my eyes, means that is one of the greatest films ever made in your eyes I have over 700 films rated on IMDB and the only films with 10/10 on it are Drive, American Beauty, Psycho and Evil Dead II. (I also have Twin Peaks and Breaking Bad on there but they're TV shows so I'd put them in another category because of that)
a 10/10 would be a film that means something personally to me and has a real effect on my life, there's a lot of masterful films I would rate 8.5-9.5 purely because they don't mean as much to me.
I just give my favourite movie a 10/10 then bump it down when anything surpasses it.
Well I guess I could give it an 8.5/10 if you look at it from a way where 10/10 is like best thing ever.
GI joe retaliation or whatever the new one is called Sucks, made me kinda mad, even. It's good that nobody paid TOO much attention to it though [editline]30th April 2013[/editline] As in, it's not like transformers where everyone was all over it
Hellboy A friend of mine lent me this and he can have it right back. I guess the idea was original but I really didn't give a shit by the end of it. The film isn't bad, I just didn't enjoy it.
hellboy is fckn unrated as hell i love everything about hell boy and guillermo del toro should definitely make a third one [editline]as[/editline] i also really like how guillermo del toro went from makeup supervisor to directing and writing movies
was just watching green mile and read that the guy who plays that fucko percy guy is actually now married to an 18 year old.. he's in his 50s what the fuck he was 50 and she was 16 when they married, that's beyond fucked up.
