Do I even need to say that I love hellboy
Alexandre Ajas Maniac
8/10
Really really intense. Shocking. Emotional.
The camera only going out of his body when he's killing someone.
Really good and disturbing.
was just watching green mile and read that the guy who plays that fucko percy guy is actually now married to an 18 year old.. he's in his 50s what the fuck
he was 50 and she was 16 when they married, that's beyond fucked up.
Pooh's Heffalump Movie - 5/10
I hate Lumpy. He's perhaps the worst character ever inserted into Winnie the Pooh. He is annoying and drives me crazy. The Heffalump Movie was just so...averagely bad. While I only enjoyed the scenes involving Pooh the game, the filler between Roo and Lumpy is so stupid that I facepalm at alot of scenes. Overall, worst Pooh movie ever
i just finished watching burn after reading
it was pretty good and then the ending was just so underwhelming
I thought the ending was pretty damn funny. Seeing everything get resolved so abruptly and so half-assedly is like a slap in the face to anyone who makes the same mistake as the film's characters: finding a meaningful plot in all that shit. Plus the two CIA guy's reactions are just hilarious.
whatever you do dont even bother with the sequel, its much worse
What
I loved that one even more
Not sure if my fanboyism is clouding my judgement though, I'll watch it again when I can
Just watched Tron Legacy, not sure why so many people dislike it. It wasn't perfect, but it was pretty damn good. It deserves at least a 7.

Tron Legacy ruined the quality of the original. The original was released as a landmark in CGI. The sequel just used CGI that can be in any movie now. The original had Disney animators color in the gray sets, costumes and such, so basically it was a bitch to make. Tron Legacy just had light costumes and CGI characters and a high budget unlike that of the original. Basically Tron II was only meant for the action and modern CGI electronica

But the thing I did love in Tron Legacy was how they got Jeff Bridges young face into the movie, and Daft Punk.

Pitch Perfect
I watched this with my housemate in return for her watching Freddy Got Fingered. Was alright I guess, maybe a few funny moments. Not really my thing. Hearing No Diggity caught me by surprise though.
I can't ever see there being a moment where I think "you know what? I really fancy watching Pitch Perfect"

You say that about the CGI and that but Tron Legacy in HD looked spectacular to me when I watched it. Visually it blew me away.
I was off my tits though so who knows...

How so? The thing remake doesn't make the original any worse
Finished all of The Wire
11/10
to reiterate

I'm learning to use Nuke, the compositing software used in the making of these films for uni, so I learnt all about the post production aspects in Tron. Since they shot it in 3D they had to fix polarization artifacts in every single shot because of the mirror used to make the correct intra-axial distance, they didn't have the budget to make light up suits for everyone so all the extras just had glowy tape on them, since they would be moving heaps the tape would curl and come off, so in every shot the tape had to be painted on in the correct spots for every frame. The main characters suits actually lit up with lights, but since they were such tight suits the actors sweated, shorting the lights in some shots, so they had to be redrawn too. Every decal on the sets had to be copied over from the left eye and moved to the right, again due to the polarization issues and the highly reflective sets.
Heaps of stuff like that before they even got started, Tron, like pretty much any movie, was a bitch to make. And that shouldn't really have any impact on how we criticize the movie itself.

All I remember from that movie is Fat Amy.

Exam - 8/10
The ending kinda sucked though, and should've been cut short before they spoonfeed you all answers you had.
Iron Man 3 - 7.5/10
ehh it was alot different than the first two and it was kinda hard to get into it, but overall i liked its style alot in the end
also awesome credits
The Room - 9/10
The best comedy-drama ever made. Period
Fiddler on the Roof
7/10
So that's where Find Me A Matchmaker comes from
django
4.5 mandingos out 5
Evil Dead (2013) not funny like the classics, but there a lot of gore. Kinda liked.
Some peculiar scenes from Evil Dead I & II...
7.5/10
Iron Man 3
2/5. The story is so weak and while the action scenes looked cool, with the exception of the airplane scene they were not exciting at all.
Last Night (2010)
Just finished watching this on Film4 and it was fantastic and shit at the same time. Sam Worthington was miscast because he doesn't have the skills to carry a role like this. Its about a couple who end up in a situation where they can both cheat on each other, even though they love each other. Keira Knightly plays the wife and she was great when she wasn't pouting at the camera. I was sat there watching it and I said out loud "Go on you fucking titless, bitch cunt, pout at that fucking camera again, I dare you, I fucking double dare you, you slut of Satan. Pout again and I'll reach into that screen and pull your fucking monkey nose off and stab your fucking eyes out and smear your brains over my genitals before using your cooch as a toilet" Then I calmed down.
The French actor who played Keira's tempter stole the show because he's French so deal with it. Eva Mendes played Worthington's temptress and I would have thought my grandma with her prolapsed vagina hanging out the side of her piss stained knickers would have been a more believable carrot for Worthington than that dog rough crack whore with a face like a retired cage fighter.
The film explores physical and emotional cheating, obsession, loyalty and all the rest of it. Fans of this will enjoy the film 'Closer' more because the performances were better and you get to see Natalie Portman doing a private dance in a strip club.
The Island of Dr. Moreau - 6/10
Not as bad as I expected, though much of the cast do act lazily, especially Marlon Brando. The costumes I however give a 9/10, monkey/human hybrids everywhere.
The person I hated most in this was Val Kilmer, he is so god damn awful in this movie.
Alien Ressurection
Oh god, how could the Alien franchise end in such a terrible movie. I simply don't get it. That movie was atrocious, the whole script just gets absurd and more ridiculous as the movie goes on. The plot itself is just confusing and so badly done. It had terrible plot devices that ruined the movie, especially during the end where this human/alien hybrid was born. That was just to much.
Actually I was quite excited when the movie started and when I saw the cast, it has a terrific cast with some of my favorite actors. It began all smooth and neat, but later on it just got way over the top. Especially Ripley was so damn annoying with her alien issues.
Although the movie is visually very impressive, the effects are rather amazing and so are the movie props. It just nails the universe so well, it's just a shame that it's being run into the ground by a ridiculous story and bad action scences that are simply exagerated beyond anything.
Primer: 8/10
Good movie, massive mindfuck though
All Good Things (2010) - 6/10
Man that was pretty boring. Only thing worth interesting was seeing Ryan Gosling in drag.
Louis C.K: Oh My God - 7/10. Yeah not a film oh well.
That was actually pretty underwhelming. I liked the note he ended on, but then as soon as it was over I thought "wait that's it?" Ah well. I was really surprised hearing so many boos from the audience as he walked off stage.

This movie is really worth re-watching. Like maybe read the wikipedia plot section, wait a while and watch it again and you understand so much more of it. Though i still didn't understand some parts on my first watching so i will probably watch it again sometime.
Watched shame last week or something. I'm not sure what to rate it... It was good but i didn't really enjoy it. i suppose i should just go with the copout score of 7/10
The Dark Knight Returns part 1 and 2
9/10
I was at first put off by the different voice actor, but it made sense considering the setting. Past that it was a badass couple of movies and it was nice seeing a more mature animated batman, less holding back on the down and dirty but not overdone as to water down the batman-ness of it.
[sp]also batman kicks superman's ass and its great. "it took years to develop and cost a fortune. Luckily I had both."[/sp]
The Last Stand - 5/10
i watched The Adventures of Tintin and i liked it. its really cool how they preserved the original style while making it a 3d animation movie.
the only thing that bothered me was that the story was too complicated
