John Carpenter's The Thing
Still one of my favorite movies, definitely my favorite alien horror movie (sorry, Alien). Kurt Russell's beard is amazing and I hope to one day have a big awesome beard like that.
10/10
Inherit The Wind
Really great. A truly superb court film, with dynamite performances all over the place.
I expected a standard already set but even by 1960 it had a whole new set of things to show and tell. Not only through great filmmaking but the word and belief of it really moved it to a new level. Challenging beliefs and clashes with science, it's every bit as significant to this day. Surely one not to miss.
Happy Gilmore - 7/10
Some jokes were good, average overall.

Zodiac: Easily a 9/10, maybe even a 10/10. Fantastic nonfiction crime story.

I was looking for some Blurays to pick up and after a friend suggested this I decided to get it even though I wasn't sure about it.
I was very surprised about how good it was to be honest. I really enjoyed it and the way the movie slowly ramped up to some crazy shit really worked well.
I thought this movie was going to be shit to be honest, but holy shit this is a great movie.
Since everyone's reviewing it now, Now You See Me
I'm not sure why this movie got so panned by the critics.
because its fucking horrible?
Kurt Russell's beard is amazing and I hope to one day have a big awesome beard like that.
The only thing better than his beard is his hat.
The Departed
Do I really need to say anything here? Absolute genius of a movie and I think we can all agree on it

Did you watch the film it was based off from: Infernal Affairs? That's great too.

Will watch that this week then. Thanks!
For all of the people who hate VHS, go watch Trick 'r Treat. It's a pretty good anthology.
Frankenstein's Army - 8/10
May be cheesy as hell but I liked it a lot, I always liked mad science

Seen it. It is indeed very good, had a goosebumps feel to it.
To Live and Die in LA: 8.5/10.
The cinematography is top notch, the soundtrack is great and the film is an excellent crime thriller that oozes 80's nostalgia.
Drive - near perfect/10
ryan gosling is such a friendly looking dude

Conan the Barbarian (2011)
I'll give the movie this, it was way more violent than I was expecting. Refreshingly so. Other than that its general badness and long runtime meant I gave up half way through. It wasn't offensive, just boring.

In my opinion, Conan the Barbarian is a great classic starring Arnold Schwarzenegger. The film is very interesting to get into, it's not anywhere near boring. The witch, snake, and sword fight scenes makes the film worthwhile. If you want a true shitty Conan movie that's boring and uninteresting. Watch Conan 2 or the one with Jason Momoa. Otherwise, the original with Arnie rules

I mean the new one, I forgot about the arnie one.

Okay..then.
Conan 2011 is shit that I will agree one but remember to put the year of a remake or else you'll mistaken it for the original

That movie had some really fucking unintentionally hilarious moments in it. My favorite scene was when they catapulted a guy over a down a ridge into the cabin where the bad guys were in just due to how fucking ridiculous it was. Unfortunately aside from the few hilarious scenes the movie was just boring fights that happened for no reason.

Seven Psychopaths - 8/10
Well shit, now I really need to see In Bruges, this was fantastic.
in bruges owns, seven psychopaths sucks
Seven Psychopaths was okay.
I thought the biggets let down was the fact that the magic tricks were essentially impossible to do in real life. There is no "how did they do that?" mystery behind anything, because most of them are obviously bogus. That's what makes magic tricks interesting in the first place and they took that element away.
I thought the biggest let down was the total "go fuck yourself" plot twist.
now you see me
i give it 4 out of a total million lens flares
what about camera constantly fucking panning and moving scenes?
I felt like Seven Psychopaths was judging me. "Oh, you think disturbed murderers are hilarious, huh? You wanna see a bunch of funny shenanigans with crazy guys? Well take a look at these psychopaths! Not laughing now, are you?"
I mean, yeah it was a black comedy, but it was heavier on the "black" than I was expecting.
The Cannonball Run - BURT FUCKING REYNOLDS! /10
Welp I saw now you see me.
Honestly I don't know what to say that hasn't already been said
I thought the biggest let down was the total "go fuck yourself" plot twist.
that also. the movie is so bad that it has two biggest let downs at the same time
