Night of the Living Dead was good, Dawn of the Dead was awesome, Day of the Dead was OK and everything else was garbage. Romero's awesome, but he gets a little too much credit imo
Return of the Living Dead is the best zombie movie anyway.
It's above average.
but nobody wants to see a movie that's average, and one slightly above average isn't a lot better
Return of the Living Dead is the best zombie movie anyway.
I love Night of the Living Dead, but for some reason Day of the Dead is my favorite of the Romero zombie movies. Dawn is pretty awesome too.
clear history - mostly amusing and funny, but honestly it just felt like a long episode of curb your enthusiasm. larry david's character is the same as always, and the ending is pretty disappointing
gangs of new york was p fucking good not the movie i was expecting it to be
Rocky IV The amount of cheese in this movie is dangerously high. Honestly some the later fight and its montage is okay but the music is just so bad it takes that away from it. 4 out of 10
Olympus Has Fallen 2/5 I didn't think the movie was incredibly bad, but it definitely lost points for it's shitty action scenes and the fact that it was a ripoff of Die Hard. Barring that, it probably would've ended up as almost okay.
Day of the Dead Not sure on this one. It's not bad, but it's not my favorite. I like Dawn of the Dead much more than this one, but Night of the Living Dead is about equal in terms of preference. Have yet to see Land, Diary, or Survival and not sure if I should. [sp]The ending was also kinda lackluster.[/sp]
is this that movie where that guy gets eaten up to his head and he's still alive holy fuck i cant get that out of my head aaGgghhj
is this that movie where that guy gets eaten up to his head and he's still alive holy fuck i cant get that out of my head aaGgghhj
That scene isn't that bad, until his screaming starts getting higher pitched. That's what got me to cringe.
That scene isn't that bad, until his screaming starts getting higher pitched. That's what got me to cringe.
I too cringed there, but had a nice chuckle at "CHOKE ON THEM."
That scene isn't that bad, until his screaming starts getting higher pitched. That's what got me to cringe.
The worst part is that's apparently anatomically correct. I remember the first time I saw that, it was terrifying.
This is the End I though it was great. There aren't many funny scenes that stand out, but I love this kind of humor. The actors did a great job as over-acting as themselves, that I found really cool. And the story and everything was pretty good as well. 7.5/10 really enjoyed it
TheKritter71, didn't you hate IM3 due to how they handled The Mandarin? Because of how it was wildly different from the comic version and how different he was in the film compared to the ads? I just don't see why you hate that film and yet enjoy MOS.
Kinsey 8/10

Iron Man 3 I rather not argue about, it isn't about the Mandarin either, but there is alot of issues I had with the movie, here are examples, the ending, Guy Pearce and Shane Black's direction. But Man of Steel wasn't that bad besides the pacing and overabundance of cgi
Elysium Holy fuck this movie was bad. The characters were either entirely underdeveloped or entirely shallow and the acting was atrocious, especially Jodie Foster who gave one of the worst performances I've ever seen in a hollywood movie. Add to that the bad pacing, bad cinematography (mostly) and a fucktarded storyline and you get a pile of shit topped off with entertaining gore and awesome robots. How you can go from District 9 to this is beyond me.
you gotta have a weird ass brain to see a bunch of bad shit that wasn't there also jodie's performance was entirely adr'd from what i could tell which is about the only bad 'performance'
Ah then in that case it wasn't her fault. or maybe it was because why would they dub it

I just thought that Man of Steel had a lot more problems than the pacing and overabundance of cgi (didnt really think the latter was a problem).
Elysium bad cinematography (mostly)
surely, thou jest?
Fair enough. I just thought that Man of Steel had a lot more problems than the pacing and overabundance of cgi (didnt really think the latter was a problem).
I think the best thing in Man of Steel was the wonderful score by Hans Zimmer and Michael Shannon
I liked Man of Steel but I didn't care for the score all that much. Michael Shannon on the other hand was pretty great.
The score was alright, it did its job well I suppose but nothing extraordinary. Michael Shannon was the best actor in the film but it was Zod again. The only reason they did him was because of Superman II. Without that film, Zod's actually a really minor and unimportant character in the Superman mythos. Also Zod needs to learn how to count and fight inexperienced scientists. "There's only one way this can end Kal-El! Either you die or I do!" That's two ways Zod.
"There's only one way this can end Kal-El! Either you die or I do!" That's two ways Zod.
wait, seriously? you realize he was giving kal-el an ultimatum, it was either kill or be killed.
wait, seriously? you realize he was giving kal-el an ultimatum, it was either kill or be killed.
Yeah, two ways of how it can end. Not one way. Either Kal-El dies or Kal-El kills Zod.
Yeah, two ways of how it can end. Not one way. Either Kal-El dies or Kal-El kills Zod.
"The only way this will end is with the death of one of us."
"The only way this will end is with the death of one of us."
I suppose that was what Goyer was thinking when he wrote the line down but then it came out wrong.
Though I know why they are pairing Batman with Superman so early is because Batman is the cash cab in the movie business, MoS didn't even reach what The Dark Knight and the Dark Knight Loses got in the box office Superman + Batman = money I bet Chris Nolan is looking away at WB now
That and how Marvel is swimming in money and the only successful movie thing DC has done in recent years was Batman. That's the problem with DC; they're nervous and scared about their own work while Marvel wholly accepts theirs, no matter how 'silly' they may seem. Rocket Racoon? Sure. A guy who dresses like the American Flag and has an unbreakable shield? Yeah and let's make sure we don't make him look like a joke but instead make him sincere, smart, friendly, heroic although a bit old fashioned. They had the balls to go out and make a film about Iron Man, which wasn't near as big as Spider-Man or X-Men but hey they did it. DC? Nah, they don't even want to put the red undies on Superman because "hurr too silly, doesn't fit in". DC is rushing out head on to catch up to Marvel (since the late 70s) with making the first MOS sequel a Batman and Superman crossover. Then obviously, if it's successful we should get the Justice League movies to compete the Avengers. I dunno, let's just say that I'm not very optimistic about future DC films for now.
The thing is, Marvel played the long game with the Avengers. All five lead-in movies came out in the span of four years with consistent style, mood, and theme despite radically different characters and crews. The Dark Knight and Iron Man came out the same year, and by the time The Dark Knight Rises was released, The Avengers was ready. DC promptly panicked, realizing they'd already blew their load by creating a standalone Batman story. They've been tripping all over themselves ever since, trying to tie together their disparate characters to get a Justice League movie underway. Marvel Studios didn't mess around - they knew they didn't have the rights to the X-Men or Spider-Man, so they ignored them and played to what they did have. DC, being owned by WB, won't get in any troubles by spreading their franchises around but still struggle with the tone. I thought Man of Steel was okay, but it definitely could have benefited from some Avengers cheeriness as opposed to Dark Knight grimness.
