Enjoyed it, but the writing and acting is a bit ehh and overall it could have been done better technically. And I had to switch subtitles on to understand what Vin Diesel was saying.

Boondock Saints (1999)
I'm about 30 mins from the end and I just turned this shit off. 2 Irish brothers in Boston decide to go vigilante on the mobsters and Will Dafoe is the FBI agent following them. The acting is worse than a 70's porno and the dialog is just 'fucking fuck shit fuck' all the way through which just gets on your nerves. I've not seen anything this poor in a while.
it's not meant to be taken seriously
also how you call it "poor" when you've seen about 30 minutes of it is stupid, not saying it's a good movie but you can't rate a movie when you've seen less than a third of it
the people part of the "cult following" who get fucking latin tattoos are retarded though
look at this and you'll see what i mean:

I saw 1:25 with 30 mins to go and couldn't take any more. I wasn't expecting the Godfather but this was like watching a dog take a dump on a cat. The acting was horrific, the dialog amateur. A non serious film can have great dialog and good acting.
oh misread you there.
i thought dafoe's over the topness was good though
Fast Six - 7/10
I really enjoyed this movie, I loved the humor and action scenes, even though the plot was predictable I just loved the dialogue between characters especially Dwayne Johnson. I hope Fast Seven can achieve this too
Watched Riddick with some friends and as a fan of EVERYTHING Riddick (Pitch Black, Dark Fury, Chronicles, the games) I enjoyed it for what it was; a Riddick movie.
7/10, the script could've been more fleshed out and could've shown of the Necromongers a bit more (cause seriously, wouldn't you think that [sp]Vaako or someone else would actually look for Riddick after Krone's betrayal? I think they'd seriously doubt that Krone managed to kill their Lord Marshal THAT easily[/sp]) but it had it's great moments and surprises.

this film is dark as fuck, I wanted to kill myself after watching it (in a good way)
9.5/10
Between all the batman movies before Nolan I would say Batman Returns is my favorite
I wanted to kill myself after watching it (in a good way)
ok what
Between all the batman movies before Nolan I would say Batman Returns is my favorite
Wrong, Batman (1966) is objectively the best movie ever made
ok what
it's an amazing, amazing film but fuck me it's depressing - I view that as a good thing because it managed to genuinely move me which few films do
Wrong, Batman (1966) is objectively the best movie ever made
Are you all really that dumb? Batman and Robin totally kicks all their asses. It's all in the Bat-nipples, man.

you're in over your head batman XXX clearly deserves the nomination for best movie
Danny DeVito's performance as the Penguin was amazing and one of his best roles in my opinion. A abandoned character, who as he looks dark and ridden tries to appeal himself to the world once more and then in the end wants it gone
batman returns was the best pre-dark knight batman movie, it's too good
then again jack nicholson as the joker was some bomb ass shit too
Batman (1989)
I liked the part when Batman's targeting computer completely shit itself out and Joker pulled a meter long pistol out of his pants. Also the part where Batman just watches a family get robbed.
Burton's Batman was cool but he was weird. Also Batman Returns wasn't anywhere near as good as the first one. At least Batman in the first movie didnt express happiness when he killed the shit out of goons.

In all seriousness, I heard that it was pretty damn good, both as a porno and an affectionate parody of the Adam West Batman.
New film from 'Incendes' director Dennis Villeneuve, I heard good things about this. Tell us more about this film without the spoilers please honeycakes

The best part about that movie is how Barbara's suit, the only one worn by a woman, doesn't have nipples.
Why does jewsozer keep making new accounts to tell us his movie reviews?
Who the fuck knows?
Heat
5/5
Watched this again for the first time in a long while. Excellent film.
This Is The End:
Very enjoyable. Funny. Michael Cera was great.
4/6
Evangelion: 1.0 You Are (Not) Alone
7/10 It's basically just an 'updated' collection of NGE's first 6 episodes and besides from that, it's nothing new. New animation sure but nothing else really. Don't know why I would watch this instead of the show. At least Kaworu is in the movies more than just one episode that spawned so much yaoi material.
Evangelion: 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance
5/10 Pretty animation, collected a bunch of episodes, changed a few things and cut stuff out like the first movie but this cuts out way way too much. Asuka Langley Soryu has a different surname now (Shikinami) and I suppose it's the reason why she acts so different. As the bitch goddess she was in the show, at least she wasn't some cheap boring standard tsundere. For the sake of running time, she was cut down to the standard "Hm, I don't like Shinji (even though I make it so freakin obvious that I do)" and fanservice. The story isn't all that interesting and I'm getting the feeling that these movies are desperately trying to shift the focus on Rei and Shinji rather than Asuka and Shinji as it was in the show. Problem is that I find Rei so incredibly boring and she rarely if ever, goes beyond the 'mystical' blue haired, red-eyed girl that we must try to understand and teach her to love. Eh.
Krull - 6/10
I was bored so I decided to watch this on cable. This movie is a Arthurian-sci-fi mix but it is a really bad one I think. A flying block known as the Black Fortress lands on a planet and takes it over by stealing some chick, seen this plot already. Really at times the pacing of the film made me angry like [sp] the quicksand thing and the blind wise man being killed, what was the whole point of him dying, just to assassinate Ken Marshall [/sp]
I was like 'get to the god damn fortress already' throughout the movie. The cast is nothing special but has early roles for Robbie Coltrane and Liam Neeson. Ken Marshall does a lighthearted performance. Yryn felt like a fix between Obi-Wan Kenobi and Merlin from Excalibur. But the thing that made me like this movie was the impressive set pieces and the godly magical score by James Horner. The movie felt magical at times due to the wonderful wonderful score.
Although this movie is predictable and the final battle was really anti-climatic, [sp] I will use love from my flame hand to kill you, and fuck he loses that valuable star thing [/sp], I fairly enjoyed this movie.
the campaign - really funny. i expected it to be shit but it turned out to be pretty good

Not as funny the second time round though.

Yes! Thanks for that one, I was running out of spellings for my old nick. I love expressing myself after watching a film, posting about it helps me put a lid on it. Btw, I'm a she not a he. Thanks comrade.
But why here and not some other forum
I like coming here and I like a lot of the posters here who share a similar taste in films. I even like you Scot.
That's fine and dandy but you could be more subtle with your names.
