Hi Jewdozer.
(Bye Jewdozer).
Evil Dead 2:
Hadn't seen it in forever, brilliant as usual. I think I like the original a little bit more though.
that-fucking-moose-head/10
The World's End:
Great film, I'm surprised to see people calling it the weakest in the trilogy. I liked it better than Hot Fuzz, and I liked that it focused more on character development. I actually watched it twice, and I caught a shitload of extra stuff the second time. My favourite background gag was probably [sp]"The End is Nigh" right before Bill Nighy turns up (at the end).[/sp]
The Beehive/10
Seen them all except Eastern Promises.
Well I watched Blow and Eastern Promises yesterday.
Blow 8/10 I like movies based on real life stories and I like Johny Depp.
Eastern Promises 7/10 I was high as kite when I watched this one. I kinda hoped for something else, but it was decent.
Watched Prisoners last night.
It was amazing, one of my favorite films this year. Hugh Jackman and Jake Gyllenhaal were really good in it
Captain Phillips - 10/10
holy fucking shit Tom Hanks
holy fucking shit actually historically accurate
holy fucking shit good movie

Fuck, I'm dying to see this movie.

that movie looks sweet, gonna go see it this week when its out
Pacific Rim 9/10
Fucking fantastic
Looking to buy the Gipsy Danger models.
I watched Pacific Rim and I really didn't think it was that great. It was a 6/10 at best. Yeah, it's a good action movie, and it has brilliant CGI, but the cheesy, knock-off acting ruined the already-awful generic dramatic plotline.
I ended up skipping most of the story just to get to the action scenes.
Pacific Rim is visually great but that's all it is. Not to say it's a bad movie.
Not a bad movie, but bad acting, which sort of impinges on the overall quality of the movie imo.

I hope you skipped to Ron Perlman scenes, I think he was the only one that made the acting work

It was alright, but Charlie Day's It's Always Sunny persona sorta didn't fit with the movie. Ron Perlman was enjoyable, and I didn't skip his scenes.

I watched No Country For Old Men, absolutely loved it despite it leaving me wanting so much more. I'll happily rate it a 10/10.
Also finally got around to watching Reservoir Dogs, I'll give it another 10/10 because I was gripped from start to finish, even though - again - it left me wanting so much more.
Cabin In The Woods- 8/10
I really like this blend of comedy and horror elements. Also that 3rd act was really something.
Kick-Ass 9/10
I'm generally weary of films my Dad says are good :v: but this was great
that movie looks sweet, gonna go see it this week when its out
You wont be disappointing. The film is fucking sweet. Loved how Jakes character has a facial twitch since I do too and it's weird to see somebody in a film have a twitch as it's something I don't see a lot.

I really enjoyed the first movie, but I'm warning you: don't waste your time with the second movie. It's honestly shit in comparison. Completely ruined all the love I had for the series.

Kickass 2 is a 3/10
Horrible, horrible film
Salvador (1986)
Oliver Stone filmed this back to back with Platoon but this one sank at the box office. Washed up indie journalist James Woods gets a gig in El Salvador whilst dictator vs communists commit vile war crimes on the population.
James Belushi fortunately disappears into the background as the film progresses which prevents him from ruining it. Moral lines become blurred for Woods because what he see's makes him form opinions which means it's hard not to get sucked into the politics. American subversion and proxy war plays a part as does Woods desperate situation.
Overall the film is fantastic as Stone's work was at this time but its somewhat short of a classic. Well worth watching though.

another Stone cult classic which made jack all was Talk Radio, honestly it's one of his best for me... top 5 for sure.

Yikes, if that's how Charlie Day acts on It's Always Sunny then maybe I'll pass on checking it out.
He seems annoying as fuck.
not seen Pacific Rim but you are missing out if you dont watch Its Always Sunny
Charlie Day was the best part of Pacific Rim.
This is the End
8/10.
Or to be more precise, what the hell happened in that third act/10.
Charlie Day was the worst part of Pacific Rim.
I agree.

First 4 seasons of It's Always Sunny is brilliant, but after that it just becomes really fucking annoying. Just 20 minutes of his ADHD nasal voice.
just got back from Prisoners - 8/10
highly enjoyed it, very thrilling. the use of ambient music along with the great acting from jake and hugh keeps you on your edge of the seat. it did feel a bit too long at some times but quickly makes up for it with some twist.
also i liked how someone here had picked up on the eye thing jake gyllenhaal's character kept doing, great little detail
I agree.
I get it.
holy fuck, that indian dude who was in Terminal and most of Wes Anderson films died... aged 94
yes, he was 84 in The Terminal..
The Terminal is bad.
I've never seen The Terminal, it always looked pretty uninteresting.
