and rusty the effects and reference nonsense is all intentional, did you even read the graphic novels? that shit was lifted straight from the pages you dumbass.
then i would hate the comic just as much
things dont magically get better when theyre words on a page instead of live action. the jokes still suck and the premise is still terrible.

yes, but it's still nice to see a form of faithfulness you weren't expecting.
the other problem with the film is that it leaves out pretty much all the subplots.
... the subplots actually are what made the comics loads better imo.
Thor 2: The Dark World. 8.5/10
I loved it. Sure, there were a few places where you have to ask yourself "was this scene really necessary?", but overall the movie was great.
Very glad Thor 2's cinematography was basic and didn't give me a headache as much as the first one
and the first one had terrible angle shots throughout the movie

It reminds me so much of that bad JJ Star Trek cinematography
Saw Only God Forgives, which is a good companion piece to The Counselor, which was the last flick I saw.
9/10. Shouldn't have listened to the critics and waited for the redbox. Fucking loved that movie.

Don't make fun of the cinematography all of their cameramen had arms of differing lengths it's insensitive
Clear History - 8/10
I don't remember Thor's cinematography being too bad.

And for the few tilted shots it had, at least it isn't Battlefield Fucking Earth.
Go watch that movie and a take a swig for every shot that's angled. After 45 minutes, you're too plastered to care about the rest of the movie.
Waltz with Bashir.
8-9/10
GOD DAMN that was good. Very unique with the whole style of it, but fuck that was great.

Pretty good companion movie for Lebanon
The Raid: Redemption
It was okay, cool fights. Very physical. It was my first CQC heavy film and I can't say I'm a huge fan. By the middle I wasn't very interested anymore. I'm sure if you are a fan of this kind of movies it's the bomb but not for me.
Re watched
In Bruges - 9/10
Event Horizon - 7.5/10
Apocalypse Now - 10/10
I never get tired of rewatching this film, it's my favorite of all time and I've yet to see anything top it.
The cinematography, the acting, the music, and the writing all mesh incredibly well to form what is certainly a work of art.
I still need to get my hands on the documentary/making of.
^thanks for reminding me that i still need to go buy the complete dossier on bluray
maybe when i get around to ordering breaking bad...
time to go spend money!
He Was A Quiet Man - 7.5/10
Depressing movie, I was pretty interested at the start but began to lose interest as the movie came to a close, but the ending was interesting.
I was a bit confused at first, so I had to look it up to find out what really happened. Turns out I had overlooked a bunch of stuff.
[sp]Like his dream girl Vanessa being a complete figment of his imagination, and even then he realizes that a girl like her wouldn't end up with a guy like him, which forces him back into reality. And since there was no need for her anymore since Bob is now dead, she fades away as she looks down at his dead body. That was pretty depressing.[/sp]

Thanks for this post. I remember watching this movie on TV a few years ago and wanted to rewatch it to figure out what happened. The movie's already confusing, and with a cut-for-TV version probably more so. I've been trying to remember the name for several weeks now.
Anyone seen Donjon yet?
Paul 10/10
Its had plenty of laughs and charm. Had Simon Pegg in it and lots of geek culture.
I'd like a sequel with at least most of the original cast.
The Perks of Being a Wallflower 83/100
I didn't really expect much of this movie, but damn it surprised me. I certainly took a liking to this one.
Reminds me a lot of my earlier youth, a perfect movie to be reminisced of your earlier teenage years. And like many reviewers told it; it's not just your typical high-school drama. It's so much more.
Heartwarming, sad and so good.
Night of the Living Dead 3d: Re-Animation - absolute-total-fucking-shit/10
You know, I wish I could just know what I'd like to watch at any given time. It prevents me from getting something random from Netflix suggestions and watching schlock like this. I feel bad for Andrew Divoff in this movie, I do. He tries, god knows he tries to make this movie worth your time but all amounts to nothing. While the practical effects are actually kind of okay, anything digital is complete crud, the acting is a total joke (what happened to you, Jeffrey Combs? This is the man who MADE Re-Animator?), the dialogue is beyond retarded, the coloring is nothing short of nauseating and ultimately fails to give any sort of satisfying resolution to anything. 90 minutes and nothing of any significance has happened whatso-fucking-ever.
I hope it's proud to have joined the ranks of Alone in the Dark and Day of the Dead in movies I've genuinely regret watching, movies that I consider a legitimate complete and utter waste of time. Do not watch this, even if you have absolutely nothing else to watch.
The Wolverine 6/10
Not as bad as Origins but it's quite forgettable
End of Watch- 9/10
Great movie, recommended to me by various police officers. Realistic and very interesting. Has it funny moments and serious ones. If you are thinking about becoming a cop this is one of the movies you should see.
Also this movie was filmed in "found footage" style, just like cover field and the blair witch project except this was done AMAZINGLY well. The camera work was genius and makes ever other film in the found footage genre look like shit in comparison.
Constantine - 8/10
People will probably disagree with me on this, but I really liked this movie; Didn't have any problems with the acting or directing, but the setting is what really got me into it.

[sp]it was so depressing, then they added that last extra scene before the shooting to add that bromance. Fucking cartels man.
"He was my brother..." [/sp]
Elysium - 8/10
I know most of the critics shot it down, but I still love this movie. It has flaws, the allegory hits you with as much subtlety as a wet fish to the face, but I love the design work and the whole vision of the future. It presents an entire universe in one movie without prequels, sequels, or any other bullshit.
The Machinist
Jesus christ. Wow. This movie was just amazing. Rarely do I feel this empty and depressed after watching a movie. The music was incredible, the acting was spot-on, the plot was coherent and the cinematography was just outstanding. I loved the movie's continued showing of the choice mechanism, with the evil route and the good route, and how he finally chose the good one at the end of movie. It was really sad seeing how he destroyed his entire life after the accident but I felt good that he could finally sleep at the end. I really feel like the movie needs more credit than it gets at the moment. Not only that, but I feel like Christian Bale is really underrated. Most people just know him as Batman (or even Bateman) but there's world of incredible other films that he's in and most people don't even know. Plus he shows an incredible dedication to all of his movie roles, especially highlighted in his weight loss for this movie. I actually saw an interesting fan-theory on IMDB (heaven forbid) regarding the movie and it actually made a lot of sense. The guy said that the plot of the film was his "purgatory" in a sense, where after the wreck he was so distraught that he died when he was just coming out of the bright light tunnel. In his purgatory he was reliving the process of his life with the 666 ride with hands being cut off, a whore house and a child being run over a red car is overturned and burning with a body nearby. Additionally the police officer stated that his Firebird was totaled in a wreck and that his clock being stuck at 1:30 signifies the time of the accident and him being stuck in that time. This process continued with him living in ignorance and depression for a year until his soul made the decision to accept his spiritual punishment (jail time) - which is a totally white and pure room which contrasts heavily the dark and grimy life he had been living. In fact, after thinking this through I'm starting to think more and more that this is actually the case of the movie. Overall, this movie was very heavy and I could recommend it to anyone looking for a more serious and darker film that explores the human condition.
Gravity 10/10

Devastating. Enthralling. Brilliant.
See this movie. See it on a big screen in 3-D if possible.
I, Robot
3/10
Where do I even begin.. Well, first of all I've felt being blatantly advertised to more than a couple of times, and that alone is unforgivable. Then there was Will Smith who is all but suited to this part. His lines just made him sound like a colossal asshole, and not even an ironic one. Then there is the scientist lady, whom does a 360° shift in charachter by the end of the movie of the likes you would expect only in romantic comedies.
Then there was the sentient robot eauthanasia scene, which could've been really moving, if it wasn't for the shitty deus ex machina that made it pop right back unscratched five minutes later.
The plot twist at the end was partially unexpected but hardly redeeming.
Overall the movie felt like an empty experience. Perhaps the worst modern sci-fi movie adaptation I've ever seen.
