Dallas Buyers Club - surprisingly it's really great. Not meh, not good enough for nomination, but great. McConaughey and specially Leto are giving performances of their lives, and film without these two would be forgettable, like fine - dealing with difficult issues. But with them it's totally a different thing. Worth a watch, 8.5
yo spring breakers was a great movie you were supposed to hate the main characters etc etc i'm late to the party
i watched you're next again, first 30 minutes is a 2/10, everything after that is a 9/10
love it
Youre Next (2013)
As a horror, 1/10
As a comedy, 8/10
Opens with a sex scene, instant 1/10 for me.
Get a little action for a minute, then a bunch of draggy story for what feels like 15 minutes.
It is pretty funny
[sp]Killer cleans up dead guy, sits him on couch like hes alive. Killer shoots arrow through window, kills guy, everyone keeps standing in front of the window. Guy runs around house, with an arrow in his back, kicking down doors. Killers wear funny animal masks[/sp]

The worst sex scene I've ever witnessed was in The American.
It's just 3 minutes of George Clooney humping a prostitute, as well as my dad and I glancing at each other with the same tortured expression.
Wolf of Fucking Wall Street
Fuck me that was fucking awesome, even Jonah Hill was fucking awesome. Fucking film just reminded me of fucking Goodfellas drenched in fucking coke. Those fucking bears on Wall street are exposed for what they are, fucking animals with no conscience so fuck them. Fuck anyone who doesn't like this film and fuck you!
Fuck/10

Ive been lucky, havent seen anything too bad.
This one, the opening sex scene was with a 20ish year old girl and a 45ish year old guy.
To me, a sex scene in a horror movie is the 'must have' for the making of a tacky film.
Im nearing the end of the movie, it is getting better now. It really isnt a scary movie, but it is becoming a good horror movie
Edit;
Just finished.
It got pretty good at the end, making up for the opening scene.
Id say as a horror, itd be 7/10. It is not scary in any way, but it is good other than that.
It is pretty funny at times, in the beginning it was more like a comedy and id rate its comedic value at 8/10.
If youre into funny, non-scary horror movies, this one is pretty good. Starts out slow, but picks up near the middle
I watched irriversible with my mum

How did she find the 11 minute rape scene? I found it quite erotic.

Holy shit fuck, I just saw this and you are not fucking exaggerating. Martin Scorsese is a fucking genius director! SO many fucking good scenes in this movie it is un-fucking-real. Fucking loved Wolf of Fucking Wall Street.
The Game - 7/10. Apparently this was David Fincher's first film. It was pretty good.

if u think spring breakers is summer trash like project x u fell for the trick tbh
if u think it's not, you're the one that fell for the trick. it's like a 12 year old's take on arthouse. he's a director fronting at arthouse cred that can't back it up
The Last Samurai - 7/10
Even though the story has been done in the past by other movies, I loved the choreography and action scenes.
Her - 9/10
Really enjoyed the look and feel of this movie. This movie kept me guessing the entire time, really nice to see a movie where I couldn't predict most of the plot points. Would definitely buy in bluray.
Wolf of Wall Street - 7.5/10
I feel like I missed something. I certainly enjoyed this movie but you guys were making it sound like the savior of movies or something. I felt a lot of the parts go on for too long and I felt a lot of scenes weren't needed. Maybe I was just tired that day but the 3 hour run time really took a toll on me. Other than that I really enjoyed this movie, maybe I'd watch it again on a better day. Maybe I'd like it more if I actually felt like watching a long movie.

Nearly gave me a heart attack, thought they meant they are not releasing any films on Blu-ray anymore. Still sad to see the end of 35mm in cinemas though. The real fight for me is to keep it being used in film making because it future proofs it for future HD formats.
lars and the real girl 74/100 pretty good

i hope 12 years a slave wins every nomination although i haven't even seen all the other movies
fuck every single one besides this movie.
Blue Jasmine
Theres quite a buzz around this one and its clear that Cate Blanchet deserves all the attention shes getting because shes wonderful. 2 sisters, 1 married rich and one marries poor find their paths come together again after mrs Rich finds her world crumbles. Woody Allen is back to his old style of films as Blanchet plays his typical New Yorker with neurotic habits, bottles of Xanex and hang ups but she plays it less light hearted than Allens older films. She just shows how shallow some people can be. This was a good film made much great by her fantastic performance.

Thats a hard one to rate. The sets and story had such potential but the whole thing was a platform for Cruise to try and look as cool as possible. I thought he looked like a proper sausage wallet.

Beneath Hill 60
Pretty good Australian WWI Film. The actors all did brilliantly in portraying a hell within a hell. There really was no slant that made the Germans look evil or anything, they were just portrayed as the other side of the war. Lots of really good little details on the uniforms and stuff, great job to the costume designers. Writing was pretty good as well, although like many Australian WWI flicks they make the British officers be really pompous, stuck up, we're better than you, which you don't see in ones made by the British :P. The love story in it isn't bad either, it's what actually happened between Captain Woodward and his love. All those portions are in flashbacks and flesh out Woodward's character for the better. It's not an out there love story, like say in Passchendaele.
I really recommend it.
8/10
A.I. Artificial Intelligence.
7/10 In ways i like it, but in ways i cant understand, there was a vision, it was lost somewhere along the line. I understand what Spielberg was doing in Kubricks name but i cant imagine anyone finishing my "Magnum Opus" per say.
However, the fact he gave it his all is admirable, and it has a certain charm amongst its hectic world.
However, i did enjoy it, and id whole heartedly recommend it, even if it seems lost at times.
Dallas Buyers Club
Who would have thought Mr Romcom McConaughey had it in him? Somehow this waste of celluliod has become worthy of our time by picking great roles and doing them well. He plays a redneck, gay hating man with Aids who decides to operate outside the medical structure.
This could be accused of being a typical 'man vs system' film and to a degree it is but he pulls it off well. Based on a true story with added characters to add to the drama. This was a very good film with Mac and support from Leto. I recommend this film highly.

idk i think hes great and legitimate but its subjective and ~thats the magic of cinema~ i guess
Riddick - 7/10
aside from one terrible cringeworthy supporting actor who lasted way too long (the Mexican merc), the movie was actually really enjoyable. it felt like a more actiony version of Pitch Black, which I liked.
overall a great B movie

Can't beat watching Oldboy with your mum though.

"Her"
7.5 / 10.
Nothing bad to say about this movie, I was interested all the way through, although it did get repetitive and didn't quite need to be stretched over a full two hours. I really liked it though.
I don't know what movie you're talking about because the image you posted is broken and leads to a 404.
I think he's talking about Her.
