Just watched Both Hellboys. Solid 8/10 for the first one, 9/10 for the second Characters were great, oh my god, the scene with Abe and Red drinking was the best thing I've seen in a movie :v: There any plans for a third or what?
Seven, 8.8/10. Not really much I can say really apart from just watch it.
I never understood this, what the hell makes 8.8/10 different from a 9/10?
I never understood this, what the hell makes 8.8/10 different from a 9/10?
it's his rating not yours homie.
I never understood this, what the hell makes 8.8/10 different from a 9/10?
Would you prefer to think of it as 88/100?
I never understood this, what the hell makes 8.8/10 different from a 9/10?
the .2 I would assume
The Whore Church Vol. 1 10/10 Really well put together film.
Star Trek Into Darkness - 7/10 Enjoyed it, but less than the first one.
My friend says Jaws 4 wasn't a really terrible movie and gave it a 4/10 [sp] I hate him for not realizing how shitty it was[/sp]
Star Trek into Darkness 8.5 lens flares out of 10
Reservoir Dogs. 9.5/10 I somehow managed to forget how this film ended. So good.
The Hangover Part II 8/10 It's basically the first film all over again, but with more set piece moments. I loved how the filmmakers have crafted a consistent universe with lots of references to the previous film. Cabin in the Woods 7/10 If it wasn't for the twist, the film would be a generic, c horror movie. The twist made the film funny and amusing. The film got less interesting as more questions were answered and the ending was unsatisfying. Fast and Furious 1st one 5/10 It wasn't sophisticated or mind blowing, but still fun to watch.
28 Weeks Later 8/10
28 Weeks Later 8/10
what i'd give 28 days an 8, i'd give 28 weeks a 6 it was a decent action/horror film but it didn't deserve the '28' prefix. the only good scene was the Danny Boyle directed one (the opening), and that speaks volumes.
the only good scene was the Danny Boyle directed one (the opening), and that speaks volumes.
Heh, didnt know that. No wonder it felt different (and better) from the rest of the film.

hated the first, didnt bother with the second, wont bother with the third.
So my friend got the Bootleg Edition of Army of Darkness at a yard sale yesterday and I gave it a watch. As much as I hate to admit it, it's not as awesome as I remember it being. Like, don't get me wrong, it's still awesome, but after watching the first two Evil Dead movies so much, it almost doesn't even compare. Especially due to the fact that the movie is almost bloodless. Now, I know they were going for a more comedic feel and they wanted to appeal to a wider audience, but it almost feels like an ungraceful sequel to the masterpiece Evil Dead II. THAT BEING SAID, it's still one of my favorite comedies. The effects are just as wicked as ever, Ash is just as entertaining as he was in Evil Dead II, the story takes a concept that's been done many times before and puts that awesome Sam Raimi twist on it... it's still great. Army Of Darkness (Bootleg Edition)- 8.5/10
which ending did it have? i've always thought it would be neat to see a fanedit that made the s-mart ending ash's dream while he slept in the cave, and the apocalypse ending the real ending.
28 Weeks Later 8/10
That movie had the stupidest fucking people I've seen in any movie. Almost every single character seemed like they had actual mental retardation.
Dark Skies - 6/10 Good intelligent-alien (as in not a monster type alien like Ridley Scott's alien) movie, with no shock scares. Great use of atmosphere and tension in a horror movie, rather than just cheap shock scares to make it scary.
The Best Offer - 8.2/10 Saw it without knowing anything about it, and although I was a TINY bit dissapointed at the end, i can easily say this was a darn good and unique movie. I cant say much without spoiling, but for me it felt like Hitchcock's Vertigo of modern time also amazing score by ennio morricone!
kill bill vol 1 and 2 9/10 very good
Fight Club 7/10
I was thinking the other day.. "I've been a fan of the Die Hard movies for a while, why not Lethal Weapon too?" Never bothered watching it. Saw it. WHAT... THE... Fuck. That was genuinely superb. After seeing a bunch of thrillers over the years, I never thought I'd see as many new things as I saw here. It's goddamn relentless, EVEN moreso than Die Hard. Not kidding at all. From this day on any hate I had of Mel Gibson... gone. He delivers pain and passion with a tour de force style. His character, I expected a plastic drawn out, gutless, pointless killer. Here, you've got a guy whose been torn and is still tearing. He endures, and is still able to laugh with his fellow man. Glover is vastly superior to the dude with the moustache in Die Hard. Much more charismatic and realistic. The villains, not so flamboyant as Rickman, the main henchman however is much more vile and twisted than the blonde prettyboy of Die Hard. They both have such similarities, even a couple of the side actors I recognised. Lethal Weapon edges it, it's brutal, euphoric and a good ride. Shame I kept it until now..
The Fugitive - 9/10 Now that was a thrilling chase with action that's not overdone.
The Fugitive - 9/10 Now that was a thrilling chase with action that's not overdone.
That's a classic, hopefully it doesn't get buried and forgotten.
Great movie. Also, if you enjoy seeing Harrison Ford running from people I suggest you watch "Witness".
Harrison Ford outside of Dr Jones was never really given light imo, I know Han Solo but realistically that's not as good a performance as Indy. Yet to see Witness though.
chinatown - its a good movie but personally i felt like the story was too complicated

It's interesting to know that the director of this film (Richard Donner) also directed Superman the Movie.
psh I'm jewish and I watch plenty of Mel Gibson movies, they should get over it I just make fun of him enough to make up for it
