Blue Jasmine I've never been a big fan of Woody Allen. I liked his very mainstream films the rest wasn't that great. This one was... ok, I guess? Cate Blanchett was phenomenal in this and Allen flawlessly build her character the way that viewer likes her less and less with every minute. Rest of the characters was absolutely not from this world, exaggerated like always in Allen's films. The music was great, as always. Rest wasn't worth both nitpicking nor praising. I wonder if he watches Boardwalk Empire - it's funny we have in the same film Arnold Rothstein playing smug dentist creeping around with ether, and Gyp Rosetti casually mentioning strangulation. [editline]24th February 2014[/editline] The Great Beauty That was absolutely weird. And surprisingly a lot of nudity. I don't get entirely the praise it got. I didn't understood the meaning of about half scenes there was, but from what I get it was yet another story about how artists are unique snowflakes with their difficult and bizarre life, bored with usual things - just as I was bored with this film at times. People mention some similarites to Fellini - yeah, possible, it could give that impression (I guess if you look deep enough every Italian film will have some elements of his). I'm still rooting for The Hunt (Jagten) in Oscar race.
I went on a Nick Cage trip yesterday: Adaptation - 8/10 National Treasure - 4/10 Vampire's Kiss - 7/10 (because I couldn't stop laughing, entertained me to no end) I also watched: Fargo - 9/10 Ya. He was kinda funny lookin'.
The Lego Movie - 1/10 There really is no level on which to enjoy this tedious load of horse shit. The only thing in it that even comes close to being passable is [sp]the ending with Will Ferrell and the little kid.[/sp]

it was bound to happen some time
CashBack- 4/10 This was a film I found on Netflix while somewhat buzzed that I admittedly clicked on because of the suggestive coverart. Feh. As whole I found the movie overly pretentious and unnecessarily risque. It also wasnt very convincing to me that no one wouldn't notice if the have been disrobed while time stood still. How the protagonist even stops time, you dont get a clear explanation either. I would be forgiving if it didnt pretend to be smarter than it really is. ...That said,•some of the models in the film were gorgeous.
how would you notice if you had been disrobed while time stood still? also basically he imagined that time stood still and eventually it started actually happening for no reason
how would you notice if you had been disrobed while time stood still? also basically he imagined that time stood still and eventually it started actually happening for no reason
No I meant once time started again they would probably notice.
This has to be a joke.
Nope. I fucking hated it. It was so dull.
No I meant once time started again they would probably notice.
i didnt watch the movie but i sorta knows what its about, but doesnt he like, put their clothes back on?
The Lego Movie was greattttttt, go watch it
I'm sorry you had to suffer through even a fraction of that movie's running time.
nah it was a good laugh but I couldn't take it any more, I would have exploded if I passed the 20 minute mark :)
Our Robocop Remake-9/10 Holy shit. Primer-7 or maybe 8/10 Holy shit.
I've only seen two clips of Our Robocop Remake - "Can you fly, Bobby?" and "I will notify a rape crisis center." they were both astonishing in completely different ways
I've only seen two clips of Our Robocop Remake - "Can you fly, Bobby?" and "I will notify a rape crisis center." they were both astonishing in completely different ways
Wait until you get to the Pink Floyd scene near the end
I've only seen two clips of Our Robocop Remake - "Can you fly, Bobby?" and "I will notify a rape crisis center." they were both astonishing in completely different ways
Watch the full thing. There are some scenes that aren't that great, but the majority are awesome.
i didnt watch the movie but i sorta knows what its about, but doesnt he like, put their clothes back on?
He probably means that the people would feel their clothes unaligned as it was an instant ago. Like the clothes would be back on but suddenly sort of disheveled. [editline]24th February 2014[/editline]
Nope. I fucking hated it. It was so dull.
I can understand you having that opinion, but rating it 1/10 just sounds like you're trying to go against the grain purposefully.

if you guys are talking about cashback he fucking explains in the movie that they don't notice the changes he makes and they think that it happened hence why he puts his boss between the two workers goofing around
Primer-7 or maybe 8/10 Holy shit.
I remember watching that when I was 15. That was not a good idea.
Nope. I fucking hated it. It was so dull.
Well, congratulations, you seem to be the only person in the entire world who thinks that.
Well, congratulations, you seem to be the only person in the entire world who thinks that.
Oh no, I have an unpopular opinion, whatever will I do
Her- 7.5/10 Yea this was really good it wasn't exactly waht I was expecting and I hope it wins best original screenplay cos it was great. Joaquin Phoenix was just amazing as expected spike jonze's directorial effort was top notch as per usual and all that i cant be bothered writing a proper review but yea its a very good movie [editline]25th February 2014[/editline] also Nicolas Winding Refn really doesnt like Lars von Trier apparently
Why does he have a Boys From Brazil poster?
Gravity 10/10 This is like the second 10 I've ever given (other being Return of the King). But god damn this movie told a good story. There was not a minute where I was uninterested, I am huge sucker for these kinds of movies, but this one did it the best. I hate myself so much for not seeing it in the theaters.
Airplane! Flipping hilarious/10
Now You See Me - 4/10 Given that this had a 7.3 on imdb I expected something halfway decent but this is the worst movie I've watched in a while. Not offensively bad, just sort of without any interesting features. Boring plot that feels like it has no weight, forgettable performances, a strange unnecessary Dan Brown sideplot. Just not good.

Nebraska 10/10 This. This is a great movie. I was kind of scared it was going to be pretentious or not funny, but it was genuinely heart-warming and sweet and had lots of quite funny scenes actually. I felt like this movie was going to be too emotional for me, and it was, but in different ways than one would expect. I hope everyone rents or buys this one since it just came out, it's really worth the watch.
