If you liked the first one then yeah. But personally I thought it was pretty bad.
As someone who hated the first hunger games I thought catching fire was the best blockbuster of the year
I guess women just aren't that into film making.
well theres more to it than just that its just that its something thats probably not worth discussing in a movies thread
Repo Men 10/10. There was literally nothing I didn't like about this movie [sp]And that fucking ending[/sp] Also The Host 5/10 Pretty good acting, decent premise but it just reeked of Stephenie Meyer, it was practically Twilight with a different setting
As someone who hated the first hunger games I thought catching fire was the best blockbuster of the year
As someone who hated the first Hunger Games I thought the second one was like the same movie but worse. I'm starting to see a contrast between us.
The second hunger games was amazing and nothing like the first one [editline]6th March 2014[/editline] They kinda went for the same tone but everything else was different

Sobering. Sexism is rampant in Hollywood. Katheryn Bigelow is also the only woman to ever win best director (of 4 in total, all white), and iirc the only woman to ever direct a Best Picture winner. , Ang Lee is the only Asian to win Best Director. No black man has ever won best director. 12 Years a Slave is the first film directed by a black man to win best picture. Sexism is ripe from the bottom up in Hollywood.
i'd just like to point out that little miss sunshine was co-directed by a woman so obviously it's superior to the rest of that list because you had a man around to do things, not to mention the superb casting (majority males) and the writing (michael arndt, wrote toy story 3 and the initial treatment for the next star wars) also bigelow is an overrated cunt, it isn't sexism when it's truth
Gravity nice visuals. nice thrills. me like
Robocop (2014) 8/10 I thought it was pretty awesome
watched aladdin once more (for the first time in a few years), probably my favorite disney animated film. maybe because i watched it more than any other movie as i grew up, who knows anyway 9.9/10 its fantastic, still hasnt lost its charm
robocop (1987): 5/5 why is this movie so good?
because it's smart, funny and well written and acted
Conan the Barbarian (1982, not the fucking retarded 2011 one) 9/10, I loved it, very nice soundtrack and aghnald doesnt fail to amuse with his glorious laughing and screaming I just want to know how they went from this: [t]http://flex2tone.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/12/conan-the-barbarian.jpg[/t] to this [t]http://0.tqn.com/d/movies/1/0/h/C/X/conan-barbarian-jason-momoa-photo.jpg[/t] seriously what the christ
Best night ever 8/10 I just love stupid humour like that, it's why I love the hangover movies and this felt pretty much the same except with women stereotypes instead of men stereotypes.
Best night ever 8/10 I just love stupid humour like that, it's why I love the hangover movies and this felt pretty much the same except with women stereotypes instead of men stereotypes.
sorry for the brain tumor
sorry for the brain tumor
If it makes me enjoy terrible movies, who am I to complain?
Okay, no one is gonna be Gurant on this thread. Robocop was mediocre. Period. It was terrible to mediocre. A remake of it was pointless and just for the money. End of discussion, move on to other upcoming movies. We must remove the memory that was Robocop 2014 If anyone dares to say Robocop was a good movie, I'll grab my blu-ray case of the 1980s version of Robocop and smack them with it.
Captain Phillips 8/10 Excellent acting from Hanks!

I liked it, original is miles better, but this works better than Robocop 3.[/sp]
wow, this was really fuckin good, 8/10 easily. i've never seen a movie in imax before so for this to pop the cherry was a very excellent choice imo. more war movies should be like this, idc even if its just propaganda. go see it, if it isn't already out of your theater. also everytime i look at this poster i think the center dude is a russian josh brolin.
Is that a remake of the old Stalingrad film?
The Best Offer 7.8/10 This film was crazy and creepy at times. And the ending is just... wow.
Dallas Buyers Club Absolutely fantastic. Beautifully shot, well paced, extremely interesting and terrific performances from Matthew McConaughey and Jared Leto. Well deserved oscars.
The Asylum is a scam. Basically they try to make money by having people who are confused about a specific movie title get mixed up with one of their movies. 'What was that movie about....that cop that became a robot...err...oh wait here it is. Android Cop.'
Three Kings 4/5 Another war movie favorite. I wish the blu ray would get a touch up, though. It looks atrocious at some points.
Is that a remake of the old Stalingrad film?
no, it's just yet another story based on the battle
Dallas Buyers Club Absolutely fantastic. Beautifully shot, well paced, extremely interesting and terrific performances from Matthew McConaughey and Jared Leto. Hercules - 6.5/10 This movie does have some great stuff in it. I love the gospel-choir muses; their songs and "I Won't Say I'm In Love" are the musical high points. The visuals are similarly great. Exaggerated, colorful designs are a welcome departure from the classic house style (I was reminded more of Chuck Jones than Walt Disney at times) and integrate classic Greco-Roman influences well. Even the dreaded Mid-Nineties CGI Animation is used well in the Hydra scene. James Woods as the sleazy, fast-talking Hades is very entertaining. Unfortunately, the rest of the movie just isn't that hot. I think the biggest problem is the pacing of the movie. Herc's rise from "zero to hero" is covered a bit too quickly, and as a result we lose some investment in his new lifestyle. Similarly mishandled is the climactic battle with the Titans - the advantage swerves so sharply from one side to the other that we feel whiplash rather than relief. Also, I just didn't find Hercules that compelling of a character. Maybe it's the aforementioned plot issues, maybe it's his odd face, I don't know. He just never felt like a great protagonist to me. Finally, the over-stylization is fun at times but also backfires. Serious moments lose some of their weight when the characters and situations are so comically distorted. I also found it hard at times to read Meg's emotions because her face isn't very expressive. Pop-culture jokes are kept relatively low, but are a bit annoying from time to time. Neither "champ" nor "chump", Hercules is a relatively mediocre entry in the Disney catalog.
Don't you mean any 90s live action Disney movie is relatively mediocre
sure, but Hercules isn't live action
300: Rise of Bad CGI Blood 7.5 Spartans/10
