Ya feckin cawksucka [sp]how do u type Bostonian (holy shit that's a word its in my phones dictionary)[/sp] Mark wahlberg needs to use his Boston accent more cos I love it in the departed lol. Hes gr8 in that film
I think you've got it about right, but it's not "feckin." Way too Irish and not American enough. In Boston, it's more of a "fuhckin."
I'm disappointed with you guys. You mentioned Marky Mark Wahlberg and went on to Boogie Nights, but have you forgotten about his BEST FILM.
Wwwwhhhhaaaattt? Nnnnnnnooooooo.

I don't get why you guys are hating on The Happening, it's one of the best comedies of our generation.
Wwwwhhhhaaaattt? Nnnnnnnooooooo.
Christ, I almost posted that too. [editline]3rd April 2014[/editline] Inception 4/5 I still love the whole concept behind this film.
Finally got around to watching The Princess Bride Is a good film, would recommend for adventure/fairy tale-ish fans. I confused Andre the Giant for Lou Ferrigno though and I am ashamed. 9.75/10 [editline]3rd April 2014[/editline] Tomorrow, Captain America 2: Winter Soldier Boogaloo

The Great Gatsby (2013) 3.5/5 Too many goddamn jump cuts and the music is hit and miss, but a good movie. A good performance by Leo.

This film had a potential, really. Casting was mostly good, the costumes were great, the whole setting and stuff, well that was top-notch. But then, Baz Luhrmann decides that he cannot do a normal adaptation but prefers to make this film "appealing to younger audience" by increasing the pacing and putting rap music. What was hit or miss, was CGI which was stellar at some moments, and then painfully obvious for the rest. This film had plenty of things right, but for the shit ones it doesn't deserve to be mentioned in the same sentence as the phrase "good movie".
Dirch A Funny Man Highly recommnded 10/10
The Secret Life of Walter Mitty 6.5/10 It has some good things in it, first of all the photography and soundtrack were surprisingly good, some really nice colours and beautiful shots and the music fits perfectly. The story is a bit all over the place, it has some good ideas but suffers from the cliche syndrome. Overall it was very relaxing and heartwarming, but ultimately it could have been a better movie if it didn't stick to a very formulaic hollywood story.

Captain 'Murica 2: Winter Soldier 9.75/10 Is superhero stuff. I'm not a good critic, I have 4 ratings, 'not entertained', 'entertained-but-had-icky-aspects', 'entertained' (a.k.a not regretting watching), and 'very entertained/intellectually stimulated'. Plus a rare, secret 5th rating which is 'platonic mastorbatory material' (a.k.a rating: Batman).
American History X - 7/10 12 Angry Men - 10/10
12 Angry Men - 10/10
still need to see the russian remake, supposed to be worth a watch.

What makes it so great?
Thing is, Cap isn't that generic of a character. He's faster and stronger than pretty much everyone sure, but the thing is he's more of a leader than a lone wolf, which means he's fantastic when working alongside other characters - which, in Winter Soldier, is what he spends most of the movie doing, with Falcon and Black Widow. Throw in the fact that they didn't give everything away with the trailers, which means there's still some surprises that haven't been ruined. It really is a genuinely good film, and I totally recommend you go see it. I really don't want to talk too much about it, because I don't want to spoil it, but I can pretty much guarantee that if you like good films, you'll enjoy it.
FrankenWeenie 10/10 Mary Shelley's Frankenstein 8/10
watching Legend again today, I realized there are two scores. Ones by one of the composers of GTAV, and the other by legendary Jerry Goldsmith. I watched the DC with Goldsmith's score, on the other hand I looked at Tangerine Dream's weird score. You have Goldsmith's beautiful score Then you have Tangerine Dream's weirdass romance score Winner on Goldsmith's score or Agree on TD for which is better score
9.5/10 easily i mean, damn, everything in this was what i expected and then more. that sour taste that IM3 left in my mouth has fully disappeared, this is undoubtedly going to be the best of the Phase 2 films. fuck, i just want more captain america flicks.
FrankenWeenie 10/10 Mary Shelley's Frankenstein 8/10
Frankenweenie was a 5/10 for me. Really average, with an ending that left a bad taste.
if you weren't a fan of the stop-motion frankenweenie, try the live-action original which is silly because burton originally wanted it to be a full-length stop-motion film but couldn't secure funding
Captain America: Winter is Coming 9 Shields out of 10
The Lego Movie - Everything was awesome/10
Interstella 5555 This film is a feat of visual story telling, I have to wonder if Daft Punk wrote Discovery with the film in mind from the get go, because everything fits nearly too well. Without a single line of dialogue, the film manages to create a core cast of characters that are more than emotive and fleshed out enough to really get the viewer emotionally involved in their journey (the Something About Us sequence is beautiful, one of the best love scenes I've seen). The quality of the animation isn't on the level of say, Studio Ghibli, but definitely nails that 80s anime vibe that Daft Punk were more than likely aiming for. The only issues I can point out with the film is that by the last three or so songs the visuals lose their tight synchronicity with the music and the overtly simplistic nature of the plot, which admittedly comes at the expense of having no dialogue.
La Vita é Bella Highly recommended. 10/10
Enders Game- 6.5~ ish out of 10 It was a bit meh. Suspension of disbelief was pretty critical while watching, as you've basically got kids commanding space ships while the admirals watch, and rather laughably, the entire Earth "fleet" consists of about 6 or so ships and a fuckton of drones, one of which is a superweapon which can destroy a planet or a blob of ships. Kind of a juxtaposition there, really. You can afford and build a superweapon which fucks with matter but not a large fleet? Eh. The characters are generally pretty good, Harrison Ford's is probably the best of the lot by far, though annoyingly the character I liked least was the protagonist. Its like the writer can't seem to decide whether he's awkward or balls to the wall cut-throat, so his character is inconsistent. Also, Asa Butterfield's has that whiny kid voice that causes your skin to ripple and remember how out of place kids are in the movie. The CGI is fantastic, I can't fault that. My other main issue other than the sucky protagonist is the fact the first half of the film wasn't really gripping. Watching it on my tablet, I switched it off about a third into the movie to have a break because it was just boring. The finale part is quite gripping, with good music, pace and the aforementioned CGI, though the ending itself leaves something to be desired. The twist will be rather obvious too, honestly.
