The Dark Knight Saga.
Instead of giving a rating, I'm just going to state my feelings. When I first saw these movies I loved the shit out of them. I thought they were so badass. Nowadays, all I can think of is how different they feel from the other kinds of Batman-related media I've since been exposed to (the Arkham games, the DCAU, that kind of thing). Compared to them, the Dark Knight Saga now feels kinda "meh". It's too... realistic, and yet unrealistic at the same time. I guess what I'm trying to say is that they don't feel like something adapted from a comic book. It has the same elements of the Batman mythos, but it just doesn't come out feeling like Batman. I'm not sure if I'm making any sense, but the point is, I'm not all that thrilled about this trilogy anymore.
Still, it's better than Batman And Robin...

Yeah it doesnt exactly feel like a Batman movie, more like a guy with cool armor does stuff to save people.
It's worth mentioning that while Batman, as a comic series, is filled with supernatural or plain magic elements there has always been a more realistic tone for several Batman's arcs. There are even "super" things that has become a part of Batman's mainstream image that weren't that featured in his first comics
(The Joker is a perfect example of this. He basically started out as a terrorist with a clown motif that offed people with earthly means like various poisons and weapons. At a certain point the infamous Joker's gas, which is believable but a little stretched in design, was introduced and nowadays is very hard to picture the Joker without it).
Furthermore, Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy is supposed to focus on Bruce Wayne's early years as Batman. If comics like "Bayman: Year One" have to be believed, at the beginning of his career Batman mainly faced powerful mobsters and odd, theatrical criminals, but nothing more.
All of that said, the thing I like the most about Nolan's dark knight trilogy is that there are actually traditional Batman's supernatural elements that have been given a more realistic inerpretation. For instance, in the comics Bane is powered up by a sperimental drug, Venom, that gives him superhuman strenght: here he's a naturally strong fighter that has to resort to pain killer substances due to a past phisical trauma. On the same note, in the comics Ra's al Ghul keeps himself ACTUALLY immortal by bathing in a mystical place, the Lazarous Pit, every once in a while: in the Nolan's movies he achieved "immortality" by passing on his ideals and goal to the remaining members of the League of Shadows
Niko 2: Lentäjäveljekset
Some great animation but rushed.
7/10

Batman Year One as a film though GOTDAMN. its such a good comic. The animated film is really good too, Bryan Cranston plays Gordon and in an AU from Nolan's films he would be perfect in the live action role too.

I do think that the Arkham video games style is the best though. Its more in line with the comics than the Nolan films too
The Wolverine, 9/10
really liked this one. been a long time since I saw a Marvel movie
[sp]only real complaint I have is that it's set in Japan, not really the biggest fan of the Japanese setting[/sp] :v:
[sp]part where he removes whatever he had on his heart was pretty badass. that was really tense and I loved every second. same goes with the ending, so much tension.[/sp]
Oculus; 5/10
Imagine if Stanley Kubrick was James Wan's idol

Japan is always terrible because its always cliche japs with robes, swords, and honor in some temple

Enemy. Not my type of film but i can see why some would like it. 7/10
The Winter Soldier
9/10
I came in knowing nothing other than "it's a new Captain America movie" and expecting something enjoyable with lots of action.
I was extremely surprised to see the plot wasn't just a barebones preface for the action, I think it's one of my favorite marvel movies now
People who prefer IM3 to Winter Soldier should rethink their critique

IM3 was pretty painful
I never saw Winter Soldier because Captain America is boring shitty character.
He's ripped brah
The most complaints I hear about IM3 are "they ruined my Mandarin", which is hilarious to me.

see Winter Soldier then
I might eventually, but I'm not rushing to see a Captain America movie.
Same reason don't give a shit about Superman so I never saw Man of Steel (which may have saved me some brain cells I hear).

I'm kind of over superhero movies I think. Like I don't even care about Avengers 2 or the new Batman Superman movie at this point.
I wonder if superhero movies will go the way of the western.
I wish someone that wasn't Scarlet Johansson played Black Widow.
Jesus christ she has the charisma of a toothpick whenever she's on screen. She's great in other stuff, but when she's Black Widow it's like she got absolutely hammered before going on set and just slurs all of her lines.
It's mysterious, how come The Last Airbender's trailer is like one of those epic teasers but then the movie is nothing like the trailer.

The reason I don't like Black Widow in the Marvel movies universe is because she's seriously starting to look like a Mary Sue to me. Let's count the ways:
- She has that mysterious "evil Russian spy" trouble past thing that has yet to be fully explained in the movies but it's used by Widow to justify her current actions (she want to atone for it) or to get sympathy from the other characters
- Even if a superior enemy gets her on her knees she always manages to leave unscarred, either by an unforseen event or the help from the other heroes
- Even if an enemy seems to have tricked or pushed her into despair, it will later be revealed that she was a plan of hers all along
- Every plan the Widow makes and every infiltrations she attemps are always successful
Seriously, the other Avengers get at least grounded or defeated from time to time, but her ...
Stuart Little
Michael J. Fox does a good role as Stuart Little.
8/10
Amazing Spider-Man 2
After the "Amazing" reboot I had no faith in the second movie. Now I think this new one is worth a watch and Sony brought up Spidey from ashes.

i hated IM3 and the mandarin thing is least of the reasons why.
Best thing that can be said about IM3 is the Mark 42 suit looked awesome. Unfortunately everything else about that suit was dumb and made no sense.

If they actually do make a Black Widow movie, maybe then they'll address all those problems.

Remember how legitimately perfect the At Worlds End trailer was?

I STILL get chills watching this fuckin' thing, and the movie was a trainwreck.
Con Air-Bunny/10
After watching the Winter Soldier my curiosity was picked, since I always loathed Captain America (like I do for every Marvel hero in existesce, to be honest). So I got myself the First Avengers from a friend and gave it a go
8/10
I even consider it superior to the sequel, so it's kind of a eight to nine.
The two main highlights are how cool they managed to portrait HYDRA (and the perfect cast of Hugo Weaving as Red Skull doesn't hurt either) and the writers managed to deal with the AMERICAN part of Captain America quite well, without any boring cliché.
The only thing I disliked is the Peggy Carter character. I don't know how well she fares in the comics (if she is even featured in them altogether), but I found Peggy a pretty blank tsunedere love interest that the film certainly didn't need
I'm curious now. What's wrong with it?
Just saw 2 Guns
more like 2 Good
