(and the perfect cast of Hugo Weaving as Red Skull doesn't hurt either)
hugo weaving sucked ass as red skull. it was just a boring performance. Then i read an interview where he said he didn't care about the role at all and only did the movie for the money and it all made sense. He also mentioned voicing megatron in the same vain. Not that it matters since you're probably trolling anyway. I mean, First Avenger better than Winter Soldier? lol... btw it's piqued*
Stuart Little Michael J. Fox does a good role as Stuart Little. 8/10
are u even a person irl or ?? [editline]27th April 2014[/editline] also the hobbit 2 desolation of sherlock holmes 65/100 was ok
The Hobbit, desolation of smaug, 8/10 its an okay movie, but I came into The Hobbit films expecting Lord of the Rings quality, which wasn't the case. the CGI is notably bad in a few scenes as well. its worth watching imo, but the fact that its not on par with the lotr movies really put me off since the first film.
The Raid 2 Holy shit that was awesome! I like how it has more plots than the first one.
I blame the Russos brothers for the Winter Soldier's goodness, especially when they were all against CGI
I'd hate to imagine what he will write when he's high.
Most of his stuff through the 80's (iirc he doesn't even remember writing Cujo).
of course, just before I go to bed I read a post about The Shining now I'm scared again from remembering the movie ._.
the shining wasn't that scary... :v:

In the comics the Red Skull is a crazy german scientist with a god complex and nothing but contempt for normal humans. Weaving delivered those traits just fine. If I may, realize that there may be others with different opinions than yours. To this day I consider Iron Man 3 and Thor: The Dark World absolute garbage but I don't accuse who claims to have liked them of being trolls or just plain idiots
the shining wasn't that scary... :v:
It's the most atmospheric horror out there. I'll take that kind of scary every day over cheap screamers.
The Shining made me scared of large empty hotels. once i stayed in a large empty hotel in room 1408 no joke
Spoiler tag come on...
Play it again, Sam. - 8.5 It's probably the only awkward humor comedy I like. It's one of the funniest of Woody Allen, mostly because it balances just right on borderline parody, while still having the traditional and repetitive aspects of Allen's film - his unchangeable neurotic persona, Diane Keaton, messed up relationships, and fanciful dialogue. It also sends the message better than for example Manhattan or Annie Hall. That, and I love Casablanca. But then again, who doesn't?
A History of Violence I remember the Rotten Tomatoes Forum talked about this movie a long time ago so I ended watched this. Viggo Mortensen is super in this thrilling movie. 8/10
300 rise of an empire 10/10 that sex scene was hot
The film was tense at some moments, but it definitely wasn't scary. I blame the Simpsons for ruining some of the film's best moments: I was giggling whenever I see a scene that the Simpsons has parodied.
genuinely think this episode is scarier than the film
i watched three films last night because i'm fucking crazy Chronicle - 7/10 (rewatched because I wanted to compare Dehaan's performance in this to TASM 2) 21 Jump Street - 8/10 (before anyone goes fucking mental at this 8, it's an 8/10 comedy, made me laugh a lot, action scenes are alright as well) Magic Mike - alright, alright, alright/10 (watched because Soderbergh and Matthew McConaughey, pretty good) aaaand today: Enemy - 8/10 holy shit this was good. I really like Gyllenhaal and the concept of doppelgangers anyway, so I was drawn to this film (I really wanna see The Double too, just missed it in the nearest cineworld to me, though). I loved the cinematography and JG was really good as the leads. I have two interpretations to this film and I don't know which one I prefer. Pretty good. Avoid if you don't like working things out for yourself, though. [sp]That ending shot scared the shit out of me, holy fuck. [/sp]

Yesterday, after coming back from Amazing Spider-Man 2 I found out they were showing Arnold's The Last Stand. I watched it with my brother and we laughed a lot. It was pretty bad but I thought the horrible cliche lines could get you through it. Maybe not watching it alone helps, too. Another thing worth noting is the movie had Czech dubbing which gives Arnold much more serious voice or simply put he's voiced by an actual actor (and no accent). Overall the plot was so silly I found it watchable but some of the CGI blood was a letdown.
Lost in translation - 7/10 Likeable characters and performances (Bill Murray is god) bring this well directed, but slightly lacking comedy drama above the line of mediocrity. Also provides a thought provoking depiction of 'love' - are the two leads actually in love or is it the result of their current dissatisfaction with life?
Lost in Translation is a near perfect film honestly. It's very subtle, I feel comedy-drama undersells it. The bond and characters as well as themes (the title itself is a perfect one for this reason) are perfectly done. It's a film that benefits a second viewing for sure though, you really pick up a lot from it.
Fifth Element 7/10. I'd never seen it before last night, but it was very enjoyable. I really liked the general feel of NYC, like the asian café that just pulls up to your window, and the cop uniforms. I didn't realise it'd be that funny either.
You want an even weirder Jason Statham role in a Guy Ritchie movie? Watch Revolver, he has fucking LONG HAIR in that.
quoting an almost year long post but I just watched revolver and holy fuck I thought Statham looked like a badass with the long hair
he looks weird but he kinda rocks the beard however Revolver is literally one of the worst films I've seen in my entire life it is offensively terrible in literally all aspects
The Usual Suspects - 7/10 a fairly good movie with some genius moments and Kevin Spacey is great as always, although I was a little disappointed in how predictable it got toward the end (the beginning-middle was really the most memorable) Kevin Spacey was awesome though
not bad, not the dcau's best but not its worst 6/10
I'm kind of over superhero movies I think. Like I don't even care about Avengers 2 or the new Batman Superman movie at this point. I wonder if superhero movies will go the way of the western.
My only issue with the whole slew of superhero movies lately is that pretty much every review for Chronicle called it a superhero movie. It most certainly is not. It's much more similar to things like Carrie and Akira than any superhero movie I've ever seen.
Chronicle - 7/10 (rewatched because I wanted to compare Dehaan's performance in this to TASM 2)
And speak of the devil. Honestly, Chronicle is one of my personal favorites, mostly because I tend to easily fall in love with things involving telekinesis. Trying my hardest not to be horribly biased by that fact, I'd probably give the film an 8/10. You know, I haven't seen, or read, the original Carrie. I saw the recent remake, however, and it was pretty shit. Am I missing out on something by not seeing the original?
its a superhero movie because it has superheroes, not because it follows the generic superhero story format
its a superhero movie because it has superheroes, not because it follows the generic superhero story format
They're not exactly heroes, though. They have powers, but they only briefly flirt with the idea of using them for the greater good, and most of the movie is them just dicking around with them. The closest it ever comes to this is [sp]at the end when Matt kills Andrew to keep him from hurting people during his tantrum.[/sp] It'd be like calling Click a superhero movie because Adam Sandler has the power to mess with time.
