Ugh the Titans series was fucking awful. They completely butchered Greek mythology.
The Hunger Games
8/10
Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas - 8/10 - for execution, at the very least. I don't think I've got anything original to say about the movie; in any case I'm still trying to find a nice narrative to slot things into. (I refuse to give up on it like Ebert did, for example - I think his empathy failed right there. Not that HST isn't just as valid a target to understand...)
I will say this, though: if Monty Python's Flying Circus tweaked you in the right way, look out for (a) Yummy, Yummy, I've Got Love in My Tummy, (b) Katherine Helmond, and (c) the same relentlessness and full-on-attention to an aesthetic that leaves you feeling a bit used up and empty when it's all said and done. The fact that it doesn't have to be more meaningful than that is, at least, consistent with HST's own book.
i give evry movie i watch 8-10/10 bcuz i like movies so much
Army of Darkness
Some really good one-liners and Ash is completely refined here. Great watch but I like Evil Dead 2 the best out of the three.

honestly the original clash of the titans wasn't even that great a film
but what amazes me is how they could fuck up with the remake.
you have liam neeson and ralph fiennes as zeus and hades, and fuckin lawrence kasdan writing the goddamned script. those three things right there should be instant win. instead, everything else fucks it up.
I saw the devil - 9/10
oooooooh myyyyyyyy GOD.
Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan - 8.5/10
Despite the mediocre ship effects and some mildly cheesy dialogue for some characters. The movie is perhaps the best in the TOS-film category besides The Undiscovered Country. Khan makes a really adversary villain
Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter... and Spring (봄여름가을겨울 그리고 봄)
Absolutely breathtaking and soothing film that seems so simple, yet is so complex it's crazy. In an hour and 40 minutes, you'll be seeing a modest house set upon a lake where very simple routines are held. It's buddhist in tradition, but imo very relateable to all walks of life. Once the doors open, you'll be seeing a lot of acts which require a lot of discussion and figurative thinking.
Yet nowhere in the film is it ambiguous or unclear.. It's the nature of the film that is so mesmerising and real that I was actually in disbelief that the entire thing existed.
Don't suppose people feel this, but seeing this kind of drew me far away from where I was at. Not only does this make you escape but it makes you feel dreamy.
This is NOT due to me seeing this at 5am! I slept 8 hours before this. :D
I'm definitely giving this another watch, this time in full bluray.. it's just.. there are no words.. The movie itself doesn't even have that many words, hardly found myself reading subtitles.
Literally can't explain without spoiling the film. Aggg it's too beautiful. :(
Glad that you've seen it AK'z. It's a beautiful film IMO and I think everybody should watch it at least once if they have a passion for film. Also, totally understood how you felt watching that.

Have you checked out Kim Ki-duk's other films? I still need to watch Pieta.

Not yet, but definitely will check it out more. Also I heard Isle is quite a sick film, I've stomached many things before so hopefully that'll be a doddle.
Oldboy
Possibly the most fucked up film I've ever seen, but also one of the best.
9/10
Technically not quite a movie, but I kind of see it as one since they sell them together as a trilogy anyway
Just watched "The Warrior Princess" episode from Hercules: TLJ
9/10
This episode really shows how good Raimi was when he wasn't trying to overload his shows with humor. The show itself suffered overall because they tried to go for a more light-hearted approach in later seasons, although it still had good parts later on.
This episode trilogy just in general is a really well done and interesting story arc, with pretty good acting all around.
So, I watched Army of Darkness a few days ago, and just finished up Superbad.
Both were real great.
Cloud Atlas
9/10, absolutely brilliant.
everyone else seems not to have liked it
Divided opinions happen. But people are calling it "pretentious and hipster" which is by mile the dumbest, emptiest opinion of all time.
Did anyone see 42? Really wanna go see it. Huge baseball fanatic and love a good story.
I, Robot 8/10
I really liked all the scifi concepts and the idea of the three laws and how Viki interpreted them. If Will Smith's character wasn't such a stupid fuck and they hadn't included that stupid punkass kid and they hadn't tried to make Viki the obvious evil it would have been a perfect 10.
What Deus Ex Human Revolution did so much better than movies like I, Robot and Surrogates was showing both the good and the bad sides to technology. In Deus Ex you had the choice, but in Surrogates and especially I, Robot embracing technology is the obvious wrong choice (even though it isn't at all)
The Blind Side
6/10, feels sometimes but a resounding meh overall.
Theres been some really good feedback on Cloud Atlas from some of the smarter posters on here. It troubles me that such an interesting film had empty seats at the cinema and such a small run so I didn't get to see it on the big screen.
Some people are stupid and don't understand real beauty in films. I can dumb my screen time right down with crap but there has to be a flip side so you can appreciate both. Can't wait for the blu ray release so I can see if its as good as they say.
Killing them Softly
It's worth watching, but it could've been A LOT better. It felt like the director had a hard time figuring out where this movie was going, the plot was very good but poorly executed. However the acting was great in my opinion, not the best that I've seen. Dialogue not memorable, but it had a lot of very cool scenes.
7/10
Without the cool scenes it would be a 6
John Dies At The End: 6/10
Someone had all the right ideas and a good producer but no feeling for timing. I know the movie is supposed to be somewhat of a spoof but it doesn't work.
The Guilt Trip - 7/10
The Darkest Hour - 2/5
A piece of cliched poorly scripted shit. Could've been saved if it were solely about the awesome Russian soldiers and the crazy scientist guy with his microwave gun.
Oh, and that russian chick was dreamy as fuck.

It really seems like a movie that would have benefited from being longer
Shrek 2 > Shrek 1
I watched Living in Oblivion today and I highly recommend it to any of you who have been involved in low budget filmmaking (it's a really cool movie)
Chernobyl Diaries
An original setting, at least for movies, but a weak script and not much else in the way of ideas besides 'mutants in Chernobyl' pretty much makes it a letdown. [sp]Not that I was expecting grade-A horror material, but I'd just finished Shadow of Chernobyl, so give me a break.[/sp]
4/10
Olivia from 5sf being in it was cool though.
Triangle - 7/10
Reminded me of Hypercube
Braveheart - 8/10
'Freedom'
