Tangled - 8.5/10
Watched The Living Daylights for the second time. I think it may be my favorite Bond movie(out of what I've seen). I need to rewatch Casino Royale one day... (The plane scene at the end of TLD is one of my favorite action sequences ever.) 8/10
Clerks - 8.5/10 First time watching this, I didn't expect it to be anything special, but it was actually pretty funny A lot of memorable quotes too, "my mom's been fucking a dead guy for 30 years" sticks with me, because I can relate to that in my own life The funniest moment was the salsa shark (on an off-hand note, though I got the reference, I've still never watched Jaws)
The Departed - 9/10 Very engaging and enjoyable movie. Everything about it was darn near perfect. From the acting, camera work, music, and the story, I was riveted until the very end.
Isn't this the movie where every character that dies is marked for death, with an X appearing somewhere in the scene just before they die
Haha nice spoilers m8
Haha nice spoilers m8
I've seen worse in this thread.
RoboCop (2014) atrocious piece of garbage. The story was shit, the characters were totally forgettable and the action was also terrible. This movie has literally no redeeming qualities as far as I can tell. Samuel Jackson was a complete waste as well. a total disaster
The commercials that showed Sam Jackson looked alarmingly similar to those Capital One credit card ads.
fear and loathing in las vegas - 5/10 dunno why everyone bangs on about this being an excellent film when in my opinion its really lacking in several departments. the plot is so thin, its pretty much just an excuse to link scene to scene of them taking drugs - which admittedly are creatively shot, but not enough to carry an entire film. highlight for me was the performance by benicio del toro who appears genuinely terrifying in several scenes, but other than that the characters don't learn anything or develop in anyway leaving the film feeling pointless. i haven't read the book but i imagine its the sort of thing that would work a lot better as one
. i haven't read the book but i imagine its the sort of thing that would work a lot better as one
it is supposedly better than the film
I pray the new Godzilla isn't terrible.
i pray its awesome as hell
it'll be awesome...
Haha nice spoilers m8
Because when you're gonna watch that film what you're going to do is pay attention to the tiny X that shows up every now and then in scenes with 2+ characters on the picture and you'll tell yourself "one of those characters is going to die in a movie where a lot of people die and I will somehow figure out which of all those characters that are currently present will bite the dust !" Yeah ok. What next, is your enjoyment of Black Swan going to be ruined if I tell you one nondescript scene actually has flashes of the entire movie including the ending if you pay enough close attention ?
What next, is your enjoyment of Black Swan going to be ruined if I tell you one nondescript scene
a film's initial viewing is most important in how you personally react to it. luckily I've never had a big enough spoiler hit me in the face but it can bother people..

Tbh without them, I'd have a very hard time choosing films to watch. e.g. I won't just watch a film because a person recommends it, I'll always ask them why they thought the film was good.
Finally caved in on the Frozen hype because some dude on /v/ said there were only a couple of songs in it. Oh boy oh boy, finished it in like half an hour, i hate musicals. Snow effects were good at least. 4/10
I've said this a couple weeks ago but 80% of the songs are in the first quarter of the movie, you probably stopped watching when the last song for the next hour started.
Hot Fuzz - 9/10 Hot damn how have I not seen this? Hot Fuzz is fucking funny, and surprisingly engaging. My only real criticism is that the action is pretty shaking and disorienting at times. Were it not for that, I'd say it's damn near a 10/10.
Shaun of the Dead is still my favourite of the Cornetto Trilogy, but Hot Fuzz is very close.
Spiderman 1 8/10 Spiderman 2 9/10 Honestly after watching these two again I realize how bad the amazing spiderman is in comparison to the originals. Honestly it makes me wish the third wasn't shit and that they made a fourth. Well here we go, the big finisher...
i feel like i'm in the lonely boat when i say that toby mcguire isn't a good peter parker granted i don't think andrew garfield is much better, but
i think they have yet to find a perfect on-screen peter parket
ryan gosling would be the perfect peter parker
ryan gosling would be the perfect peter parker
Honestly, there is no actor under 40 that would be less fitting for Peter Parker than Ryan Gosling.
Would love to see Ryan Gosling as Spiderman, as long as it's just Julian from Only God Forgives in the Spiderman universe
Shaun of the Dead is still my favourite of the Cornetto Trilogy, but Hot Fuzz is very close.
I used to prefer Shaun but now I'm leaning more towards Hot Fuzz. It just has so much more.
I think hot fuzz works better as a homage, and also it's more tightly directed. My personal favourite of the 3.
I like Shaun because it is a simpler film than the other two, the humour in both Hot Fuzz and The World's End partially stems from how surreal and crazy it all gets, while in Shaun it's more focussed around the humour in the dialogue and character interactions.
