Back to the Future: Part II - 9/10 It's silly, but I love it. It's a fast-paced, imaginative, ballistic adventure - in less than two hours you cover more ground and have more fun than a lot of other movies I could name.

People give Part 3 a lot of whiplash because it didn't go the way they expected, bunch of nonsense.
Part II is great because so much goes on in it. You practically get three separate movies - each fully formed and put together very tightly. Nearly every line or object has a payoff at some point in the trilogy.
Edge of Tomorrow 8/10 Didn't expect much going in. Came out entertained. Story was easy to follow even though it involved time shenanigans. Good action with a mix of espionage. Tom Cruise.
Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit - 6/10 It's all right, nothing special. Good if you like this sort of movie.

Elysium 9/10 I hated missing out on it when it came out. Anyway, finally watched it. Loved it. Such a good SciFi, Fantastic Movie in general
Elysium wasn't that bad of a movie, but the only really memorable part of it was Kruger. The rest of it felt like kind of background noise, like the kind of near future sci-fi stuff I've seen many times before.
elysium wasnt fantastic but it was a-okay, best thing for me was the amount of sci-fi gore. blomkamp just loves blowing people up
I liked how fucking ridiculous it was with everything
I disliked how the movie was bad.
elysium was fine. not spectacular but still pretty enjoyable. no major faults other than the awful adr on jodie foster
I guess I'm just bitter because it could and should have been great.
yeah it was definitely a disappointment in pretty much every single way but it was still kinda ok like a 6/10 but not particularly good at all. Coming off a smart and original relatively low-budget Sci-Fi like District 9 it is a massive step down. It's just a generic hamfisted action flick.
elysium wasnt fantastic but it was a-okay, best thing for me was the amount of sci-fi gore. blomkamp just loves blowing people up
It had an interesting world but the plot moved too fast for any of it to be fleshed out.
Not to mention the plot felt like it had some big chunks missing in it. Oddly enough, I think it could have been improved a lot by having Max mowing down lines of droids/mercenaries.
Enemy That was... refreshing. I loved the feeling of solitude, abandoness of the film. Toronto played it well. I loved the hidden themes, I loved the music, I loved the ending, I loved reactions of people calling it pretentious and boring. I wouldn't call it a masterpiece of cinema - it wasn't as subtle as many people believe it was, it certainly wasn't "2deep4me". It was a bit deeper than most of the movies for popcorn-eaters, but not groundbreaking. Despite that, it was really refreshing to see a film demanding a deeper thought. It's rare in modern cinema, and by me - really welcomed. I didn't had a problem with reading into this film - if someone watches a film closely and is able to draw conclusions during it, than he shouldn't have any problems with getting it. Obviously, except [sp]what the spiders mean[/sp] but that was really good explained in the internet and I support the general theory.
9.5/10 [T]http://fgs2004.de/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/Der-untergang.jpg[/T]
Bruno Ganz is a damn good Hitler.
Kruger's accent was so fuckin stupid. Loved the weapons, that's about it. Elysium was 5 outta 10 at best for me
Kruger's accent was the dude's real accent lol [editline]18th June 2014[/editline] He was the star of District 9, the director's first film. They're both South African. Its a weird accent.
Kruger's accent was the dude's real accent lol
Damn really? I legit thought he was supposed to be mentally challenged when I first heard him talk. He sounded fine in District 9
Yeah, south african is a weird fucking accent.
saw Maleficent with my sister we both liked it, bit shaky at the start and it wasn't as dark as it could've been [sp]for a film including a rape metaphor[/sp] but it was still pretty good
The Monuments Men-4/10 not shit but not good, just ok. most of the film felt slow, boring, and wooden despite a good cast. it had a few enjoyable moments in between the scenes of walking driving dialogue even more driving oh god so much driving. overall i felt a bit disappointed in the film because it seemed so interesting but just came out mediocre.
Life of Pi - 6.5/10 Actually a very decent adaptation of the book. My score would be lower if it wasn't. As it stands it's not great because I didn't like the book. :v:
saw a pre-screening of big hero 6, I can't say much about it because of non-disclosure but it was awesome and easily 8-9/10 depending on what they change before the november release definitely recommend seeing it
holy shit there's a new Richard Linklater movie out... and it's getting straight positive reviews.. And it's just shy of 3 hours. That's gonna get seen like a motherfucker.
