The Legend of Hercules. Absolutely garbage, not even gonna bother rating it.
kill bill (both volumes) - 10/10 masterpiece
The Legend of Hercules. Absolutely garbage, not even gonna bother rating it.
I thought you were talking about the Dwayne Johnson Hercules film that's coming out and was worried for a second. I didn't even know there was another Hercules film coming out this year.
The Legend of Hercules. Absolutely garbage, not even gonna bother rating it.
The special effects in this movie were so horrendous. Like...this movie might be the worst thing i've ever seen. It was literally the worst movie i've seen all year. Maybe the worst movie i've seen in the last 5 years. It was so disgustingly terrible, I didn't even bother reviewing it. You're fucking right on, it really was so bad it isn't worth rating. Fucking Hercules' face looks like a potato.
Fucking Hercules' face looks like a potato.
Kellen Lutz is a baked potato.
Johnny Mnemonic - 3/10 Keanu Reaves gives a strikingly good performance in this movie, I would definitely recommend watching it but no this movie was hilariously bad
Oceans Eleven (2001), 8/10 Mild violence, barely any action, yet still more tense than most crime thrillers for the last 20 years. Funny, smart, and just the right amount of witty banter. Fuckin' love this movie.

With like 10 people. At that moment I just knew the movie was a lost cause. Not to mention all the pointless slow-mo parts which were clearly done just for the sake of being a 3D film, and probably "because 300 did it"
The Legend of Hercules. Absolutely garbage, not even gonna bother rating it.
I was doing a theater check on this movie and was laughing so hard at the dialogue and action scenes.

No, it's not 10/10 brilliant filmmaking but it's very enjoyable.
What are some of the good heist movies that you guys recommend? I know of Point Break, Reservoir Dogs, Heat, and Oceans Eleven. Anything else?
Tower Heist is... sort of okay, kinda.
What are some of the good heist movies that you guys recommend? I know of Point Break, Reservoir Dogs, Heat, and Oceans Eleven. Anything else?
Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels is great, as is Snatch. The latter is less of a heist movie though (the actual heist happens in the first couple minutes).
What are some of the good heist movies that you guys recommend? I know of Point Break, Reservoir Dogs, Heat, and Oceans Eleven. Anything else?
Dog Day Afternoon, The Town, Thief

snip
What are some of the good heist movies that you guys recommend? I know of Point Break, Reservoir Dogs, Heat, and Oceans Eleven. Anything else?
David Mamet's Heist is alright if you want a heist movie.
Ocean's Eleven is so good it almost makes you forget that it has two shitty sequels.
Oceans 12, 6/10 Ehhhhhhhhhhhhh. The [sp]Bruce Willis[/sp] bit, albeit unbelievable, was pretty funny. The [sp]holographic egg[/sp] on the other hand was pure bullshit, and the heist itself was lackluster as ALL fuck in comparison to Eleven. I wish Eddie Izzard got a bigger role. Character motivations and personalities were different (for the worse) from the first, and a lot of stupid bullshit happened, all of it forgettable.
God this year has very boring movies. Chef 8/10 That grilled cheese sandwich and bacon

100% agree best part of the film Besides Eddie Izzard of course but c'mon second place ain't bad in a movie full of D ranks
100% agree best part of the film Besides Eddie Izzard of course but c'mon second place ain't bad in a movie full of D ranks
i personally thought izzard was the worst out of everyone, but thats really just my personal opinion
What are some of the good heist movies that you guys recommend? I know of Point Break, Reservoir Dogs, Heat, and Oceans Eleven. Anything else?
uhh there's The Town, that was pretty good. and The Place Beyond The Pines has heist stuff, but it's a deeper film than that there's also The Usual Suspects, Inside Man, and Three Kings
The Usual Suspects, Inside Man
cant believe i forgot to mention these glad someone did because they're both great
Forrest Gump - 10/10 I recall reading somewhere that John Travolta was the original choice for Gump. I'm not sure who made that decision or why but the fact that he turned it down is credible evidence that there is a God. I love this movie so much. Forrest is impossible to hate, he's such a lovable guy. The effects are really good too. The scene at the school falls a little short but the rest of the Gump insertions have aged splendidly. School of Rock - 8/10 Jack Black doing what he does best, characters that may or may not be clinically insane. Granted, the fact that a good chunk of the cast seems entirely on board with him committing identity fraud is a little puzzling to say the least but it's still a great movie. Jack Black is enjoyably moronic, the kid acting is decent and the music is AWESOME. Ramones, AC/DC, The Doors, Metallica, The Who, this is one rock-solid soundtrack.
the dollars trilogy are sort of like heist movies, with for a few dollars more being the most heist-like iirc
Wait, what? Going with that logic 2/3 of westerns is "sort of like heist movies".
Wait, what? Going with that logic 2/3 of westerns is "sort of like heist movies".
you're right sorry for that also, the score is a decent heist movie and its got robert de niro, edward norton, and marlon brando in it
I don't go out if my way to watch heist movies at all so I couldn't give any great ones but like why are people only recommending "decent" or "pretty good" heist movies?? Are there no great heist movies? No masterpieces or classics or anything?
reservoir dogs and heat are both classics of the heist genre id say reservoir dogs is close to a masterpiece as well
reservoir dogs and heat are both classics of the heist genre id say reservoir dogs is close to a masterpiece as well
Reservoir Dogs is not a 'typical' heist film, also. Traditionally, heist films have equally presented three steps of heist - preparation, execution, and result. Reservoir Dogs spends minimal time on preparation, and shows no execution focusing only on the result of failed heist. I know that this film is one of the most overrated of recent years, but I believe Inception will be considered a classic heist film.
