RIPD: 6/10 Eh. Fun. I guess. MIB was better. Kick Ass 2: 3/10 It's bad don't watch it
RIPD is like maybe 3/10. There's a meager amount of good ideas, which get clouded in annoying cliches and nonsense. Kick Ass 2 doesn't deserve to be rated on any scale.
Goodfellas (1990); 9/10. Scorsese at his finest, a near perfect film. Clerks (1994); 8/10. Second viewing of this, I love Kevin Smith's films, pretty much all of the jokes in this one make me laugh, it's great.
am i alone in thinking goodfellas will never deserve anything less than a 10/10
is it a bad idea to watch silence of the lambs for the first time alone with no one else here, because good horror/psychological films really put me on edge very easily im really escurred of th scurry skellies
i didnt think silence of the lambs was horror or scary its more of a suspenseful mystery if anything
i didnt think silence of the lambs was horror or scary its more of a suspenseful mystery if anything
k anthony hopkins' face just scares me
i didnt think silence of the lambs was horror or scary its more of a suspenseful mystery if anything
The ending, specifically [sp]the decomposing corpse in the bathtub before the lights go out[/sp] is p spooky imo.
This is Spinal Tap - 9/10 Fucking funny and really well-made. Just wish the parallel between St. Hubbins's girlfriend and Yoko Ono had a little more subtlety than a brick to the dick. Don't let that dissuade you from watching it, it's totally worth your time.
Not sure if I'm going to rewatch it but I tried the saturation trick with Man Of Steel and it looks so much better.
Saturday Night Fever, 8.0/10 A film that doesn't apologise for the era that it was made in, struck a real chord with me with regards to friends and the like that I've had over the years.
Always use subtitles never dubs unless its dragon Ball z lol
I watched Space Dandy dubbed because I'm a baka gaijin
The Lego Movie 9/10 This came as a shock when I say that this might be the most hilarious and fun family comedy movie I've seen since Shrek 2(and nothing imo can top Shrek 2's comedy). Saw it On Demand and was worth the price of the two day HD rental. Will purchase this when I find the HD-DVD combo. Pros: + The CGI/Lego sets were amazing to behold, HD makes it even better + Will Ferrell as Lord Business is a great hybrid of black comedy and over-the-top silliness + Liam Neeson as Bad Cop/Good Cop is great and a breath of fresh air for the veteran actor + Pretty much the rest of the good guys have their large share of laughs + The story was creative and had a lot of heart to it. Cons - The song in the beginning could get annoying as they keep using it - Not everyone will like the whole Lego aesthetic Transformers: Age of Extinction 8/10 The day that Michael Bay makes a really good TF film(or a great film in general) is nearly here, and it starts here. Say what the critics think about this film, but this was definitely the best of previous 3 and a kick-ass movie. I had tons of fun with this film, despite some of the problems that still lingered. Pros: + The action scenes are crisp and easy to follow with little to no shaky cam. + More TF screen time! + Cade(Mark Wahlberg) is a ton of fun to watch if you're a fan of the humans. Some of his interactions with his daughter are genuine, if at times really silly. + Both the Autobots, the knock-offs, and the baddies all have distinct personalities that really make them stand out whether you saw the other 3 or not. + Lockdown and Harold are GREAT villains. Lockdown has this Boba Fett/Terminator vibe to him that really makes him wonderful and creepy at the same time. + Galvatron has this decent build-up up to the big reveal and role in the film. + Optimus Prime at his good and bad times REALLY bring him down rather than have him be this messiah archetype that a lot of iterations put him in and makes him a REALLY good character. + The humor is okay; no toilet humor present. +/- Little to no Bay-style hot model tracking shots or fanservice(Good or bad depending on you). The only true sexy shot is that of Tessa's legs in the 1st half, and it's only a SPLIT second long. + The story was pretty basic and had a really decent flow and did enough to re-work some of the convoluted storylines from the last 3. + DAT FINAL BATTLE! + Actual heart-rending moments ( In a Michael Bay film, no less). + DINOBOTS!! ARE!! AWESOME!! :D Cons(Most of them are minor): - "The over-protective father with his daughter and her boyfriend" was strange to have in a TF film. - Galvatron-despite his build-up had little screen-time to show how his involvement. Missing a scene would leave you thinking that the knock-offs went out-of-control and starting killing humans for no reason. - The fights between the Autobots and the antagonists (including Galvatron) were REALLY short by the 1st-2nd half compared to the long fight at the end. - Movie length is a bit huge, with some scenes taking way too long than they should be. - Crosshairs is a bit of a a-hole to be an Autobot. +/-Bee STILL doesn't have a voice! He does the radio speak, but it's more used this time and makes him understandable. - Shane had NO good qualities to why Tessa loves him, and nearly becomes Sam 2.0. - Tessa is a bit whiny by the time she gets involved. The scene with the anchors makes her feel like Willie from Temple of Doom - DINOBOTS!! ARE(NOT)!! THAT AWESOME!! :( -Luca-who? Overall, a surprisingly good film with some quirks that is worth a ticket or two. Planning on seeing it again in IMAX 3D sometime soon.
Escape from Tomorrow: 7/10 This is a movie that is absolutely batshit fuckin insane and I like it I guess

The Good Shepherd - 7.5/10 Good movie.. but it would've been better off had the story not flipped back and forth in time.

None of the movies in that series will scare you for that matter.
Indie Game: the Movie: 10/10 This movie turned on the fucking waterworks.
reviews
oh I missed the transition from Lego Movie to Transformers so I was wondering why there were so many Transformers in the Lego Movie
oh I missed the transition from Lego Movie to Transformers so I was wondering why there were so many Transformers in the Lego Movie
Wouldn't metalbeard be a transformer
22 Jump street. I thought it wouldn't be as good as the first one, but I was wrong!

Christ man, are you fucking high? You can't sneak a gun in, get a cyanide capsule instead.

I will probably go see it just cos I pay monthly instead of buying tickets so why not and while I expect it to suck it'll at least be visually good and vibrant [editline]29th June 2014[/editline] And simple curiosity
Christ man, are you fucking high?
