the hell kind of movie theater do you go to
the ones 'round here don't have metal detectors, and sneaking a handgun in your pants is much easier than you'd think...

The kind in a country that doesn't have a hard-on for guns but that's for another time.
Also, that's kind of fucked.
oh god its 165 minutes long
Did he not learn from the previous two movies? wait of course he didn't it's Michael Bay.
3 hours of ten million bits of metal and grains of dirt flinging around the screen and close-ups of a thousand gears spinning and shooting sparks everywhere.

lol at least we don't have to go through fucking metal detectors just to see a movie
Silence of the Lambs - 8/10
Did not see the part where he [sp]put the dead guy's face on himself coming, that shit was crazy.[/sp]
Anthony Hopkins is so well spoken, his whole performance was just so incredibly good.
Perfume: The story of a murderer 8/10
Jesus what a "fucking" climax.
The Raid 2: 9/10
Jesus Christ what a movie. I liked it so much more than I thought I could.
[sp]How the fuck did they get that shot where the camera moves through both cars during the chase?[/sp]
I will probably go see it just cos I pay monthly instead of buying tickets so why not and while I expect it to suck it'll at least be visually good and vibrant
Do those movies even look good? All the people are orange and the fight scenes are like an orgy of scrap metal slamming into each other

I think they are visually very good yeah. Beautiful strong colours and very unique style (despite common hate Michael Bay is an auteur with a very distinct style imo)
Either [sp]SteadiCam on a crane or one of those fancy drones[/sp]
However it was it was fuckin rad
Transformers: Age of Vietnam Fucking Shits
10/10, pretty good.
[sp] 2/10 probably the worst film i've seen in the cinema what a fucking insult to the medium jesus christ please stop michael bay [/sp]
Do you think that it is an early Razzies contender and was it so bad that you have this sudden urge to hunt down every copy and destroy it? I had that when I watched Avatar when I saw it in 2010, not the "worst" bad film ever but caused one of the most negative reactions.

Honestly, after two reviews on YT (Jahns and Chris, though they've had better reviews) and other reviews that basically said "This movie was stupid. Explosions were grating. Dogshit." with no explanations to why it sucked, I don't give a damn what most critics say at this point. I went into this movie with good friends with a packed theater with all kinds people. When the movie ending with the usual quote from Prime, there was a STANDING OVATION. Didn't see that coming(though a few chuckles and some cheers from the crowd during the fights did hint at ENJOYMENT.) They all said that it was better than the last 3, and so did my friends. Not everyone has to rely on reviews to like a movie, a .1% on the Toma-whatever wouldn't change my mind when TF5 comes out. I loved this movie, and hope TF5 follows suit with the minor flaws ironed out.
Another exam, another movie. This time around I thought that watching Kill Bill wouldn't had been a relaxing experience and I decided to roll with Disney's Frozen. I did that because I really want to know what the fuss on the Internet was about
9/10
All in all, a great animated movie. A breath of fresh air after some of the most shittiest Disney movies I've experienced in a long while (I'm looking at you, Brave): the artistic design is good, the songs are catchy, the characters and the story are well put together.
I'd like to point out two major things I liked:
- Frozen is an animated film that doesn't seem to be aimed EXCLUSIVELY to children. Which is good. As a proof, take Olaf and Sven, who are basically the childrean appeal characters of the movie. While they are featured prominently in trailers and merchandising, their part in the movie isn't that prominent. And beside, I, for one, liked Olaf
- Frozen also takes some traditional Disney tropes and makes a good job out of throwing them out of the window to offer an original story. To talk about this matter would carry some spoilers: I'll just say that the main protagonist, princess Hanna, isn't your usual Disney tomboy princess with proto-feminist urges. FINALLY.
The only issue I had with Frozen is that the musical numbers seem a bit our of place sometimes. Sure, featuring characters singing all of a sudden is a stampede of musical films, but we must draw a line somwhere. Bonus points for the trolls' song, which manages to cheer up the mood WHILE THE PROTAGONIST IS SLOWLY DYING and all to ship two characters we already know we'll get together by the end.
Again, a very good Disney movie. It was about damn time (Marvel-Disney movies don't count)
The Truman Show - 9/10 (rewatch)
It truly is an amazing movie. However, i remember the ending being different, [sp]that he goes back to his normal staged life, on the one i watched on netflix he just walked out and it ended?[/sp]

Oh god, The Last Airbender. If it were a hooker, it'd make a fortune selling blowjobs on the street corner.

I enjoyed Sucker Punch when I watched it in the cinema, it's still not very good at all.

I don't ever recall an ending where[sp]he went back to his normal life. Besides, wouldn't that kind of render everything moot?[/sp]

i don't get RT. why not just use metacritic? RT has such a weird system.

oh my god
i can't stop fucking laughing
i just can't
why
Transformers: Extinction of my Brain Cells. 6/10
i wonder if the ending is anything like tranformer 3's
optimus brutally murders a transformer who's crawling away and begging for his life
the entire theather stands up and starts clapping
camera zooms in on a guy in the audience that's wearing a monster snapback as he sheds a tear for optimus' brave accomplishments
I can just imagine how his theater must've went
-Optimus strings up the villain and tears him limb by limb, then executes him in a guillotine
-Marky Mark gives him a pat on the ankle and goes "he was a decepticon fucking shit. i'm getting some good vibes from this, optimus"
-cue a shot of them standing in front of a sunset
-optimus goes "And so on that day, we Autobots earned our place among the humans. For if there was ever a time where decepticon fucking shits rose once more, we Autobots would defend the humans. Until the next movie where they ostracize us again for no reason."
-Linkin Park kicks in
-the audience goes fucking nuts, crying their adulation for michael bay. roses are thrown at the screen, people make love, and the sound of the roaring clapping gets so loud that the theater implodes upon the sound barrier collapsing on itself.
i don't get RT. why not just use metacritic? RT has such a weird system.
conversion of non-numeric reviews into metacritic's 100-point system can distort the numbers and make it less accurate. star rating systems are a bit weird because it means it's impossible for the review to give a movie less than the value of one star, be that 20 or 25 or whatever. the two lowest reviews of snowpiercer give praise as well as criticisms, and didn't give it a rating, so it was just assigned a 50 because it had both positives and negatives. the rating of that movie is brought down by reviews being factored into a numeric average even though those reviews didn't give a numeric average at all.
RT is just the percentage of reviews that were positive about the movie. I'd rather just see how many critics are positive about the movie than an inaccurate average of various score systems
[editline]ug[/editline]
not saying RT is perfect but i feel it gives a better overview of the opinion of a film
Metropolis (2001)
Pretty great film overall, looks gorgeous too. Although I was not a big fan of the signature Astro-boy-style massive calves at first.

It was the ending. At the credits, people gave their take on the film and it was well liked. Hence the applause. I enjoyed this film, you don't like, DietKane is an ass-hat for those "wonderful" comments to me, so let's just drop this.

sam, sometimes our allies turn on us
but we will always be there to protect you
From what I've heard T4 is slightly more enjoyable than the others for one simple reason:
When Shia LaBeouf acts like an idiot, it's grating and annoying at you want him to die. When Mark Wahlberg acts like an idiot, it's hilarious and entertaining.
