Pacific Rim had barely any substance either.
They both suck can we post about good and/or fun movies now?
this thread is for film discussion and we're discussing film, what's the problem?
They both suck can we post about good and/or fun movies now?
Pacific Rim is a fun and good movie.
Pacific Rim, while it does have some serious issues, is still a decent movie.
Pacific Rim, while it does have some serious issues, is still a decent movie.
I haven't seen it, but I'm thinking it goes pretty much under the same category as any super-CGI films. Which is to say I'm not too interested.

And ELBOW ROCKET! what more do you need?
Paying for anything you watch as a joke is the dumbest fucking thing ever. "Oh boy, this movie looks so stupid, let's fund it so they'll make more stupid movies and draw money away from good films" And sure, you might think. "Well I'm just one guy." but when you have thousands of people thinking that way you aren't really just one guy.
It's fun to laugh at shit tho
It's fun to laugh at shit tho
22 Jump Street is a great comedy. And from what I know of the last 2 transformers movies I was forced to watch, the film is just mind-numbing shit. They have a few particularly terrible moments, but other than that it's just the same thing. Plus, this transformers movie is almost three hours long. Again, if you have an overabundance of time and money, go right ahead. But if you're only going to see 3 movies this summer. Don't.
One of the only good things about the Transformers films is that they get Peter Cullen to voice Optimus Prime in all of the movies. It's hard not to see Optimus with his heroic leadership in his voice. Also the fact Michael Bay didn't really want to direct the Transformers films is because it was mostly for the toy merchandising and about toys basically. The irony is Steve Spielberg was the one who convinced him to direct it, go ahead cry. Now Hasbro and Paramount are paying him LOTS of money to continue directing the movies because he is able to just bank it in the hole. Every kid at my high school was like 'oh boy can't wait to see transformers'. This kids are despicable, I argued with them about how TASM2 is a really mediocre movie but they were deriding me saying 'TASM2 WAS SO AWESOME'.
shut up about transformers o m god

Was able to see it THRICE in IMAX. Best god knows how much money I ever spent. Sometimes I dream that Bayformers were as good as Pacific Rim. Pacific Rim is love I say. Pacific Rim is life :P. Too bad my folks hate Pacific Rim, so I have to download the Blu-ray version on the PS3 and whenever I get a itch to see it, I watch it with them gone with Surround Sound blaring. God I wish 6 years of my life would go by already. :suicide: Edit: And yes, I do have strange parents.

Jesus fucking christ, sorry for saying my opinions. I still fucking saw Pacific Rim three times in theaters, but I just didnt like it too much sorry for having a different fucking opinion. [editline]2nd July 2014[/editline] I'm not fucking claiming Transformers is literally the best movie, all I'm trying to do is defend it from people who immediately jump on the Bay-hatred bandwagon and come to conclusions so fucking fast that TF4 is terrible. Of fucking course it has its faults, but it's a good improvement on others in the franchise. I did enjoy watching robots beat the shit out of the Kaiju in Pacific Rim, but I just didn't like the humans at all. Sorry if this fucking offends the shit out of you, but it's my own opinion.
Rubber: 8/10

why would you see a film you didnt like in theatres three times
why would you see a film you didnt like in theatres three times
so you can't like it even more
I've seen two movies in theaters twice: Pacific Rim and The LEGO Movie. Reasons include: - Seeing it with other people than I saw it with the other time - Loving the massive sense of scale afforded by the theater instead of my tiny TV - Wanting to catch some more details - Enjoying it so much I want to see it again and can't wait for it to come out on video
1 time with family, 2 time wth friends. I didnt say I completely disliked it, read over what i said initially. I didn't like the human aspects but enjoyed the robots fighting. This could be said about both Transformers and Pacific Rim. I just enjoyed Wahlberg more than Charlie. I liked Transformers , didnt like Pacific Rim much, now lets move the fuck on.
I saw Lego Movie like 4 times and didnt get bored one time. Great movie.
sorry but anyone who thinks tf4 > pr needs to be lobotomized
sorry but anyone who thinks tf4 > pr needs to be lobotomized
and sterilized
why would you watch the same film in theaters multiple times in fact the only film i've ever watched more than once in the theater is Pokemon: The First Movie. never again
I saw Django Unchained seven times in theater, and Cabin In The Woods five times. I bring different people each time, though!
why would you watch the same film in theaters multiple times in fact the only film i've ever watched more than once in the theater is Pokemon: The First Movie. never again
I've only seen three movies multiple times in theaters, each time in a different theater with different people. True Grit Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows The Avengers (first time in 3D, second time properly)
Recently saw Pulp Fiction for the first time: mindblown/10 its amazing, couldn't actually believe I took this long to see it. Might actually watch it again soon Saw Edge of Tomorrow as well and, while a lot of people might disagree with me, I found it fantastic, like an 8.5-9/10
why would you watch the same film in theaters multiple times in fact the only film i've ever watched more than once in the theater is Pokemon: The First Movie. never again
The only film I have watched twice was The Dark Knight Rises, once with a friend, the other time with my family. It was not worth it.
I saw Django Unchained seven times in theater, and Cabin In The Woods five times. I bring different people each time, though!
Actually, Tarantino flicks are perfect for multiple watching in theater. You're able to catch much more details later. I recall I saw Inglourious Basterds three times and Django twice. And I think I saw Inception two times, just to hear once more the audible reaction from the viewers at the end. It was nice.
