I fucking love this thread. I've come in here and walked out with so many good recommendations. Literally always close this tab whilst having opened a bunch of other tabs on movies.
Not when first class is really expensive and the train is made in the US but I get what you're saying, from a production perspective it's kinda weird .
Oh yeah I understand at the front of the train there wouldn't be much diversity, I meant it more in the back ya know. But whatever, just something that kinda irked me.
that movie was terrible lol
The Rock is Michael Bay's best (and really his only good) movie.
Is that shogun assassin prepare for one of the bloodiest movies you will ever see it owns hard
It's Shogun the 1980 movie, did I get the right one?
not movie, miniseries. They did cut a 150 minute something of Shogun but it cut too much of the story and material from the miniseries. You need to watch the miniseries
The Rock is Michael Bay's best (and really his only good) movie.
I still think Armageddon is a good movie.
Bay has some good films with some great moments I will never accept that he's as bad as people say because he simply isn't like I understand the criticisms (except tthat you can't see what's going on in fight scenes as well as the quick cuts ruining them- I recently rewatched transformers and the fight scenes are done in rather long takes playing pretty far from the action. Close ups are rare and everything is there too see- movie is also still surprisingly legitimately good) [editline]20th July 2014[/editline] Gotta watch Shogun the TV series tho its the one with Tishiro Mifune right?
Edge of Tomorrow 8/10 I had a few small gripes but I really enjoyed it. [sp]I really liked how it had a happy ending. They could've done something super depressing and shit, but they didn't. Good.[/sp]
I watched Puss in Boots because why not. All I can say is, damn they know how to animate cute cats.

Although it isn't shown or hinted, his use of Blackthorne is revealed at the end. [/sp] As for differance between movie cut and miniseries, the miniseries adapts the book faithfully while the movie cuts most of the storyline like I stated before. The whole movie is a stupendous adventure, a story of heart, culture, and respect. A english man who goes to become one with the Japanese, just brilliant. I love Shogun so much, rent it, watch it. The series is also on Youtube. Take a gander if your interested
I usually stop watching you know. When it already starts to feel like a 3/10 movie within 20 min. You could do this as a job man. Are u usaully intrested in boring hobbies? I might have something for you it dont pay much thought.
I was watching it with other people so I just watched it with them to the end. And yes I will do boring things for money. I rewatched Fargo after finishing the series. 8.5/10 It was fantastic as per usual, it was pretty cool to look out for all the things that the tv show does similar to the movie. Even down to the way scenes transition.
In Bruges 9/10 Best movie I have watched in a while.
Seven Psychopaths 7/10 ok.
Forgetting Sarah Marshall - 8.5/10 I haven't had a good laugh in a minute =).

It's pretty over the top in traditional Japanese style but it's damn good and I don't know anyone else who's seen it.
Got so many movies to watch now. I really feel like a movie like "Safety Not Guaranteed", that was such a cheerful movie.
Got so many movies to watch now. I really feel like a movie like "Safety Not Guaranteed", that was such a cheerful movie.
Moonrise Kingdom is fantastic if you haven't seen that.
Moonrise Kingdom is fantastic if you haven't seen that.
I saw it, it was really nice. I enjoyed Safety Not Guaranteed more, for some reason. Grand Budapest was insanely good, I'm going to watch it again within a few months (I never rewatch movies so soon). Moonrise Kingdom was really sweet.
Another sweet movie is Watership Down its about bunnies
Another sweet movie is Watership Down its about bunnies
Fuck you, that movie gave me psychosis (not really) when I was a kid, it was beyond fucked up. Lured me in with the promise of bunnies and friendship, then in come the rabid fucks and gore and blood.
What are some other movies that pass themselves off as nice and kid friendly but turn out to be mentally scarring? A lot of people say Bambi but that really wan't that bad.
Terminator 4
What are some other movies that pass themselves off as nice and kid friendly but turn out to be mentally scarring? A lot of people say Bambi but that really wan't that bad.
The Plague Dogs. Written by the same author, and produced by the same company as Watership Down.
Oldboy Well that was crazy. Liked it. very anime feeling. the bad guy had the feel of a pantomime villain, with all his evil monologues and stuff. Really good, lots of action, intriguing plot, nice twist I didn't see coming, and overall very fun to watch, if occasionally quite intense/graphic

Transcendence 6/10 Cool concept, mediocre execution.
So I was watching this movie 8 Below, and I was reminded of a old movie I saw as a kid but was the same thing but more emotional (I remember crying). I think it was Antarctica 1983, but I can't seem to find a proper english sub/dub on youtube or anywhere else. Thinking again, the 8 Below version of the movie ruins the heart of the original story. Nearly six dogs survive in the movie, but in Antarctica and the original story, there was only two. I know it's Disney trying to make it more family friendly, but still. I def remember the music from the ending
