Stalker, Solaris and now The Sacrifice.
Stalker and The Mirror are my personal favorites and IMO they're the best of his work. But all of his films are good anyway. So yeah I definitely recommend The Mirror and also his book Sculpting in Time and diary Time within Time. I'm sure you could find a lot of excerpts online. It's a great read and shows quite a bit of Tarkovsky's vision and mind. Like how he viewed Solaris as an artistic failure (even though it was great) which prompted him to make Stalker.
Lucy 3/10 Probably one of the worst pieces of shit I've seen in a while. The ending made it so much worse too. I don't get how this is getting high scores from critics. Is it just because it's a Luc Besson movie? And fuck the plot was so dumb. The only redeeming quality was the dialogue was good-ish, it had some humorous moments, and was shot well.
luc besson is generally a terrible idiot and his only good films (fifth element, leon) must clearly have been accidents

just like george lucas accidentally made the original star wars clearly without one genuinely smart and creative bone in his body although i'm more inclined to believe that was the work of many other people and had little input from george
Taken was good though.
it was? I don't remember thinking this I mean as an action movie maybe but as far as judging objectively as a movie I've never had this opinion
Taken was good though.
no it wasn't. taken was a colossal turd that followed the coattails of the bourne movies except with a geriatric stonefaced hack in the lead [editline]1st August 2014[/editline] taken was offensively bad and liking it is a certified mark of a moron willing to ignore every one of its gaping failures because 'omg liam neeson so badass!!!'
Guardians of the Galaxy. Fucking great! 9.9/10

Lucas wrote the basic story, and people with actual experience took it from there.
Guardians of the Galaxy - 9/10 Hugely entertaining. I've been avoiding promotional stuff for this movie (don't watch trailers unless I'm in theaters, don't read the toy descriptions, etc) and haven't read these comics, so I didn't know much going in. It's very fun! The leads are all fun in their own weird ways and the cast plays off each other well. I liked a lot of the production design. It does have a little trouble with exposition moving too quickly but I kept ahold of it and enjoyed the ride. Great action setpieces, great character moments, great comedy. Check it out if you like sci-fi action-adventure!

For a moment, I thought you meant the theatrical cut was the mess and the edit was the SE
Well duh. We all know shitty Shrek CGI makes everything better.
Guardians of the Galaxy - 7/10 It's been overhyped to fuck with the reviews. It did a really good job of setting up the extended universe of Marvel but I don't think it was very funny (a lot of the jokes just fell flat with me) and it relied a lot on it's use of humour tbh. The final fight was pretty good I guess. I just don't think Pratt is a leading man. On the plus side, Vin Diesel was great as Groot, Drax was actually a decent character and Karen Gillan was still hot as fuck as a blue, bald android. after credits spoiler [sp] dat Howard the Duck tho [/sp]
Having slept on it and digested it I fucking loved it. Probably bump it up to 8/10
Clicked your spoiler cos I am fearless and are you serious lmao

It was entertaining enough to be a decent action flick. I'm sorry you get mad over people's opinions though that must be really rough.
I actually watched John Dies at the End a month ago. Never read or heard about the webseries it was adapted from so of course it was pretty wacky and nonsensical towards the end. Made more sense on the second watch, when I was high. Also I watched 30 Minutes or Less last night, 6/10
Dawn of the Planet of the Apes my opinion on this will surely be unpopular, but fuck it. It's what I genuinely think so here goes First of all it's an extremely well made film. From the fotography, to the sound design to the pacing and editing, it's almost flawless. The apes were extremely well realized, and I love how they all have their own traits and personalities making almost every single one of them an actual character. That said, my problem is with the story, more specifically the general outline of the story and how the events unfold. I'd like to hear someone say how it wasn't, I don't want to say cliche', but predictable and afraid to step out of line and think out of the box. I mean, damn, the plot never unexpectedly branched out and there was never any real twist that I didn't see coming. I'm not saying the story is crap, or boring or whatever, it's just nothing new or different. Also the characters were stereotyped to a certain degree, not too much mind you, but you could easily categorize them into good guy x, bad guy z, etc. I mean come on, koda for example, while yes his motives were kind of understandable from his point of view, he still is a totally generic bad guy. I could go on about the rest of the cast but you get the idea.. I still really liked the movie, I saw it in cinemas and it was extremely fun to watch, very thrilling and suspenseful but I can't shake off the fact that it is so formulaic. If someone thinks I'm wrong please point it out, cause I'd really love to have a completely positive view on this film because apparently there was a colossal amount of work and passion behing it's making.

It was well executed, but nothing new. [sp]The last half of the movie, I was pretty thinking "Lion King". With the whole underling tries to rise to the top by killing his superior (with a cliff scene I may add).[/sp]

Guardians of the Galaxy: 9.8/10
guardians of galaxy i liked the first half a lot better than the second. it reminded me of the fifth element cross between mass effect. unlike the fifth element though, i hate how movies try to have too grand a finale these days when the same emotional effect can be achieved by a more simple, not explosion filled ending that's written well and has all the right cues. just really getting tired of 'marvel' endings. bring it back a notch, guys. that said though the movie was still great and would highly recommend [editline]2nd August 2014[/editline] also a bit tired of the good guys winning because of a leap of faith like for real they had no idea that purple shit wouldn't just kill them all instantly (like it did everybody else who wasn't blue)
Guardians of the Galaxy. Yes, yes, yes, and more yes. It was fucking incredible. It was like someone smashed together Avengers, Firefly, Star Wars, and Star Trek, and it somehow fit together. I could see that again at any time. It was just brilliant. Watch it immediately/10
