I was rather bummed he wasn't [sp]Richard Rider or Cosmo.[/sp]
[sp]Nathan Fillion as Richard Rider would be the hypest fucking shit ever. There's still a chance considering that the role he plays in gotg is pretty small[/sp]
Hercules 3/5 Some great scenes here and there but also quite a mess in some regards. I can't tell if the movie wants myths to be real or what, [sp]did Hercules actually do the 12 labors or not? Are they even real?[/sp] Also I gotta say that I'm pretty sick of the [sp]you were fighting on the wrong side the whole time[/sp] trope. Also why did [sp]King Eurystheus betray Hercules? Because Hercules didn't want anything from him.. what?[/sp]
Everyone should see Renny Harlin's Hercules', a true masterpiece of cinema it is
[sp]Nathan Fillion as Richard Rider would be the hypest fucking shit ever. There's still a chance considering that the role he plays in gotg is pretty small[/sp]
And the fact I didn't even realize it was him until the credits.
Inbetweeners 2 - 8/10 I thought it was fucking hilarious but I have a soft spot because I love the TV show. This one is so much better than the first because it feels more like the TV show, it was basically an extended episode whereas the first one was structured more like a film (with the happy ending etc) which didn't work as well, the style of comedy doesn't really suit that. But yeah. I guess this will be only screening in Britain, so go see it if you're British.
thats what i like to hear! huge fan of the show and enjoyed the first movie too, can't wait to catch this one
Dredd - 8/10 Would have preferred squibs, tbh.
I don't think it counts as a movie but I just watched R Kelly's Trapped in the Closet 10/10 what an absolute fucking masterpiece
Captain America 2 8/10 Solid superhero movie, good choreography and sweet CGI (mostly). [sp]But uuuh why the fuck is Quicksilver in the after credits? This is so weird considering he's also in "Days of Future Past". When 2 studios own different Marvel rights shit really gets weird.[/sp]
I don't think it counts as a movie but I just watched R Kelly's Trapped in the Closet 10/10 what an absolute fucking masterpiece
First 12 chapters are a 10/10, but R. Kelly seems to have lost what made them so great.

[sp]They were experimented on by HYDRA. That's how they got their powers. As for family heritage, maybe they'll keep it vague[/sp]
Guardians of the Galaxy. Let me just say its very rare for me to ever walk out of a movie and think to myself immediately after: "I can't wait to see that again!" But god damn... I can't wait to see that again!
I saw it 2 days in a row and damn I wanna see it again. Everything that a summer blockbuster should be
In The Loop 9/10 Okay, fuckity bye Love the pacing, the actors, and the style of the film, feel very documentaryish. Also:

Short term 12 - 8/10 fantastic movie! for anyone who's seen It's kind of a funny story, please watch this too because its so much fucking better. It's a more serious and realistic approach than the other movies where youve got a bunch of grown ups supervising and taking care of troubled teens. solid drama with surprisingly lots of smiles throughout the movie. also saw The Piano Teacher - 7.8/10 (thanks AK'z for that) eeughhg that ending turned my head upside down
I saw Guardians of the Galaxy again in 3D and it literally made it a worse movie. Fuck 3D, such a dumb trope.
I saw Guardians of the Galaxy again in 3D and it literally made it a worse movie. Fuck 3D, such a dumb trope.
never ever see a movie in 3D that was converted unless its a re-release like jurassic park or titanic that actually has a lot of effort put into it
I saw Guardians of the Galaxy again in 3D and it literally made it a worse movie. Fuck 3D, such a dumb trope.
The first time I saw gotg I had to see it in IMAX and it actually ruined the movie for me. The only scene that looked remarkably good was the opening credits. All the action was a mess to look at because of the 3d, and the ballshit IMAX goggles you get given feel like they are specifically designed to steam up all the time so you can't see shit. I've seen it 2 more times in 2d since then and it was such a better viewing experience.
converted 3D Titanic was the dumbest thing I've ever seen.
The only good 3D in a movie that I've seen was Gravity, but hopefully the trend will die off soon, like it did with blue/red 3D 10 years ago.
converted 3D Titanic was the dumbest thing I've ever seen.
yeah getting a better sense of scale was so dumb
yeah getting a better sense of scale was so dumb
it's a 3 hour movie... 10 seconds on a lifeboat with actual good 3d doesn't compensate me for the blurry mess of the previous 2 hours. [editline]7th August 2014[/editline] even in the first 5 minutes, it's literally "blurry mess in your face, distractions then push everything to the background and make an ordinary scene seem trippier than required".

there's a scene with people simply walking forward and the entire background is floating... that's not enjoyable to watch. [editline]7th August 2014[/editline]
You must have been in a naff theatre because it looked great to me.
i saw it at leicester square odeon which is pretty damn good.
well blu-ray.com wholeheartedly disagree with you and they tend to know their stuff but whatever
well blu-ray.com wholeheartedly disagree with you and they tend to know their stuff but whatever
who gives a toss, my experience was that the 3d was more distracting and retracting from the movie experience than doing any good. the lighting and picture quality may be excellent and the effort gone into converting it may be top-notch, but aside from a few shots of titanic in the background with your perspective on the lifeboat, I can't pick out any other shots that I liked more than the original. I've just never warmed to 3D, sorry. and that review admits that image detail is lost, it's just not worthwhile.
The only good 3D in a movie that I've seen was Gravity, but hopefully the trend will die off soon, like it did with blue/red 3D 10 years ago.
and 60 years ago. it was big in the 50's. Hitchcock's great Dial M For Murder is one of the more notable 50's 3D films (and one of Hitchcock's better films, a great thriller taking place in one room. Rope is maybe the better Hitchcock film using that same concept, though)

I think it's even slightly better than In the Loop.
