Crank 6/10
escape from alcatraz - 8/10 still as good as when i saw it the first 5 times
Why is everyone dissing Shrek?
Oldboy- 9/10 Probably one of, if not the best movie I've ever seen. An amazing, intriguing plot filled with unexpected twists and a genuinely disgusting villain make for a compelling story. Not a 10/10 because of the ending. [sp] The ending felt really out of character for Oh Dae-Su. He had spent the entire movie figuring out why he had been imprisioned, and when he did he tried to get Lee Woo-Jin to accept what Lee did, saying that it wouldn't bring back Lee's sister. But just after trying to get some acceptance he doesn't follow his own advice and goes crazy when he learns that Mido is his daughter (Which makes no sense either). It just felt so incredibly out of character, reverting what he had spent the whole movie doing.[/sp] Gravity-5/10 Really overhyped, and the story was pretty stupid. at least it was pretty.
Lucy Immensely enjoyed it. 10/10 from me. I want to go see it again already.
Guardians of the Galaxy: 9/10 Awesome movie. Managed to keep it funny the entire time while still getting the point that the whole universe was going to be destroyed across. Chris Pratt nailed it, and Vin Diesel's performance was Oscar-worthy. Has anyone gotten out to see The Giver or Expendables 3?
Gravity-5/10
wrong opinion
wrong opinion
acceptable opinion cos gravity was average
gravity is only meant to be seen once in 3D in a cinema alone with a partner with noone else in the screening. like how i saw it [editline]24th August 2014[/editline]
yea seeing Gravity a second time was truly a terrible decision
what could you possibly get out of it the second time? The only reason I see movies again is to notice details I missed the first time or reminisce.. With Gravity, I knew straight away that I wouldn't ever feel that dizzy after a movie ever again. Has anyone actually bought it on home video digital disc?
I saw it again cos I went with friends that hadn't seen it. It's still a visual feast but nothing more and the screenplay becomes noticeably worse on repeat viewing, as if it wasn't cheesy and generic enough as is.
screenplay lol, there were only about 30 words in that film.
still gotta have a script :v:
escape from alcatraz - 8/10 still as good as when i saw it the first 5 times
Or as others call it: "The better Shawshank Redemption".
I saw Gravity alone (I think there was one other person in the theater), in 3-D IMAX on a chilly night. It was probably the best possible way for me to experience the movie, I was totally captivated. I can't imagine watching it on a small screen.
Gravity suffered from a terrible script, flat characters and a bad case of the George Clooney's. But it sure looked fucking pretty.
Yeah I'll say this again, but it's genuinely the only movie worth watching in 3D
Gravity suffered from a terrible script, flat characters and a bad case of the George Clooney's. But it sure looked fucking pretty.
I will fight this statement George Clooney is the man
gravity would have been a snoozefest if clooney wasn't in it the movie was ight, i give it props for its realism, but it sure as shit was overhyped as fuck
best picture nom smh and a best screenplay bafta nom smfh again
I will fight this statement George Clooney is the man
He can be the man. He just wasn't the man in Gravity.
Quick detour back to the Shrek stuff. I hear Puss in Boots movie was good. Anyone recommend it?
it was okay it wouldve been better if shrek was in it tho and if shrek was the main character and donkey was the sidekick and it wasnt called puss in boots
you write your posts like poems on topic of gravity it is average af but clooney saves it because he's CLOONEY
Marie Antoinette (Dir. Sofia Coppola, 2006)- 5/10 Disappointing... Didn't enjoy this apart from a few scenes. For the most part I was just sitting around bored watching non-characters do not a whole lot other than be rich and Marie Antoinette kinda not like being rich but also totally taking advantage of it. There's like nothing to this film which I did not want to say about a Sofia Coppola film because her writing of female characters is so good and deep but here I found very little other than a mild commentary on traditions already past and that she was still basically a child when she was thrust into power. Idk it wasn't very good and I don't care enough about the film to go into why cos I was so ambivalent the entire time. Don't really recommend. I was at least hoping for good visuals, the costume was amazing and the set design was nice too but the cinematography was very poor and it often felt like it was deliberately bad. Like I was watching it and just seeing nicer shots they could have used instead but they decided not to?? its weird. PASS
who just said clooney wasn't the man? they need a direct clip round the ear m8 [editline]25th August 2014[/editline]
He just wasn't the man in Gravity.
ur looney.
This Clooney talk reminds me I watched Wes Anderson's Fantastic Mr Fox like 10 or so days ago? I really liked it it's great probably a 7.5/10. Clooney was perfect and all the Wes regulars were so nice to hear. The visuals were beautiful as well.
