contagion isnt a zombie movie
I'm not sure how you managed to misinterpret what I said but let me rephrase. I mean that it's refreshing to see an epidemic movie that tries to be realistic for once and does NOT involve zombies. But that's really the only thing that makes it special, so whenever the whole zombies fad starts to die off no one will think it's all that great.
i just saw Lucy my friend said it was alright and kept his attention throughout and that he didn't regret paying the ticket price and that he enjoyed it. i, on the other hand, thought it was a crime against humanity. literally the stupidest film i've ever seen and the worst film i've paid to see in the cinema. it was so boring i nearly fell asleep. dont see it. please. for your own good.
It's only enjoyable to those who haven't unlocked more than 10% of their brain.

yeah but 99% of zombie movies suck because zombies are a shitty antagonist
The good zombies movies aren't about the zombies.
The good zombies movies aren't about the zombies.
this this this this so much people dont seem to understand that
the best zombie movie is The Return of the Living Dead
the best zombie movie is The Return of the Living Dead
That is one of the weirdest movies I've ever seen.
Frank - 8/10 funny and endearing. Fassbender puts in a great performance. Fassbender isn't a bad singer either.

Anyway, I never said I wanted zombie movies to die off either, just that I'm sure they will at some point or at least, start showing up a lot less often.

Finally watched HTTYD 2. I really liked the first one so I was worried it wouldn't hold up but it did it justice. 9/10 [sp]Why did Stoick have to die :c[/sp] Also damn that was one good looking film.

watched guardians of the galaxy again for lack of better movie at theaters still 9/10
Escape From New York - 5/10 (average) Rather disappointed in this one. I can enjoy slow moving action films, as long as what ever happens in between is interesting, but I had to view this one in two parts despite it being only 98 min. And for such an interesting concept, it's a shame that the low budget didn't allow for it to be expanded upon. A lot of people like Kurt Russell's character but I honestly found him pretty boring. He had an interesting backstory but it was never expanded on either. I know a lot of the appeal for people in this movie is its simplicity, but eh it's not my cup of tea. The music was awesome though.
The AVGN Movie - 5/10 Wow what a turd, I can count the times I laughed on one hand. The best part of it was the insane military guy. And it felt like it was just James jerking off to himself. It was weird.
It seems like the Nerd as a character wouldn't lend himself to a good narrative. The most plot he's had to deal with (in reviews or Nostalgia Critic crossovers) is 'fight the people I disagree with' and there's never been a supporting cast. From looking at his behind-the-scenes stuff I get the sense that James wants to move on from the Angry Video Game Nerd and do other filmmaking things, but he made the movie based on the AVGN because that would make sure people would be interested.
The good zombies movies aren't about the zombies.
when have they ever been about the zombies? even in the shitty brad pitt one its about brad pitts terrible perfect family.
Starred Up - 9/10 Super frickin' good. The father/son dynamic was extremely interesting and well done. Jack O'Connell and Ben Mendelsohn did fantastic. Probably one of the best prison dramas I've ever seen.

I almost stop watching when James said "for the love of Pong". Jesus christ.
What did you expect? AVGN isn't funny anyway.
ye hes a tryhard like he's not offensively bad he's just insanely mediocre there is nothing interesting in his videos and how they could stretch that to a 2 hour movie absolutely baffles me and I can see it being nothing other than a big pile of trash
I just visited the IMDb page, only to scroll down and see the featured movie quote is this It's not often I cringe hard enough to warrant a visit to the dentist from teeth grinding
And this quote is fucking awful 14 year old kid humour that should be destroyed
Yeah, I just saw it. Angry Video Game Nerd Movie- 6/10 It has a charm to it and you can definitely tell that James was trying his best, but the nerd character just isn't cut out for the big screen in my opinion. He re-uses jokes line for line from his show almost constantly, the side characters are forgettable and it only made me laugh once or twice. I hate to say that it was disappointing, but it was pretty damn disappointing, and my expectations were set pretty low with the budget being what it was and how cheesy James's stuff usually is. And this is coming from a fan who's been watching his work religiously ever since 2006.
AVGN was the sole reason why I start visiting Youtube regularly back in the day. I was looking forward to the movie but not sure if I'm even going to bother now.
Just saw Paprika Pretty damn good. I think I prefer Perfect Blue but they're both films I would totally recommend to people who think they don't like Anime
tbh saying you dont like anime is really silly and ignorant to me. There is SOOO MUCHHH and it's all so different like it's not even like saying you don't like horror movies cos anime has all genres in it. I think it's easy to make a bias on given what you see if you don't care about it tho. That it's weird or just about dumb action or "kawaii" stuff or whatever else the internet perpetuates. U want a horror anime? You got it!! You want a human drama? U got it!!!! wanna watch a mismatched crew of humans fight unending giant sized robots?? You're damn right there are animes for that. U wanna jerk it to big anime tiddies?? hell yea you fuckin can
Pretty much. There's something out there for everyone, it's just a matter of looking for it. And like, I guess it's totally okay to not look for it, but to say "I don't like anime" without a second thought yet readily admit to liking films and TV shows is kinda hilariously fucking stupid. [editline]3rd September 2014[/editline] p.s. I've only seen like 4 anime films and i'm halfway through the only anime series I've ever watched properly so I'm not even a massive anime fanboy or anything I just think there is some genuinely good stuff out there ok thanks for your time
I don't really hate anime, I just don't care for the animation style a lot of the time. It looks so jittery. That being said, I plan on watching Akira soon.
