true, if that actually was the ending a lot of people i know would probably be like "wtf that's it? shit ending"
Inception had an ambiguous ending and the reaction to that was pretty positive.

But people were expecting something like that from Inception.
Heh, the one movie that had an ending that I found the most frustrating was No Country for Old Men

you're only pissed because you didn't pay attention to what he was saying :)
No Country For Old Men's ending is 100% perfect

Finally got to see Kill Bill, finished vol 1 and planning to watch vol 2 tomorrow.
Man, I really needed to see a movie with some good ol exagurated action scenes & gore, this movie delivered. I loved the anime-ish sequences of O-Rin's backstory, and that last fight with O-Rin was fantastic, just loved how quiet the whole scenery was with just snow around and whatnot.
Ive always been a big fan of Tarantino movies, and I feel ashamed of not seeing this film sooner. 9/10, felt a bit too short but was otherwise great

it is a 2 part movie ya wally, they had to slice it for cinematic monies reasons.
When is this blasted full version being released?
I think Quentin was saying next year.
it is a 2 part movie ya wally
Yea i know that, but i kinda felt like it could have had a bit more, maybe more backstory to that black chick or something. Anyway it doesn even bother me that much, just tried to come up with something that makes me think this movie isnt 10/10, tjo honestly i dont feel like any movies ive seen are ten outta ten lol
more backstory to that black chick or something.
she was barely important holmes, the only real important antagonist is Bill.
the way the movie is split makes it seem like the two parts have different problems and it's just not the way it shoulda been.
Worlds Greatest Dad 9/10
Casts quite a different light on Robin Williams now
Paul - 6.5/10
Bit meh, not close to Pegg/Frost's best work but still enjoyable.
Seth Rogen double feature time
Neighbors - 4/10
The best part was the [sp]420 code combination[/sp]
Knocked Up - 6.5/10
I definitely don't like this movie as much as other people do, but it's still well made and can be enjoyable for most demographics.
Godzilla 4/10. Not enough Bryan Cranston. Thought there'd be more real Godzilla, not these weird creatures. Too dark.
Anyone in here watched the 2010 remake of The Wolfman? Is it any decent?
no it is not
Frankenstein (1910)
It's somewhat refreshing to see that even 100 years ago, people couldn't make decent adaptations. I mean for fuck's sake, the monster is defeated by the power of love, I shit you not. Not that it would've helped if they did because fuck me, this movie is hilarious. Was all early-era movie acting this hammy? It's like they gave a hastily cobbled together script to an amateur drama society and filmed it.
controversial opinion but fuck frankenstein the book, too. you got a monster breaking into this dudes house and you give it half a paragraph, then you spend another 24 pages writing about the trees 'n shit.
I'm guessing you mean the Delacey house? There's not much to say about breaking into a house. He breaks in, that's it. Besides, most of that is dialogue.
My problem with the book is how Victor is such a humongous cunt.
after covering frankenstein for 2 or 3 years in high school i just want forget about the book
The only good part about reading Frankenstein in school is that we watched Young Frankenstein afterward.
saw the fault in our stars earlier and it was... okay
[sp]hurr[/sp]
saw Juno afterwards and really enjoyed it, j.k. simmons was great, the writing was clever and funny throughout, and I liked how, while it was a relatively small story, the film makes you feel so attached to the characters it feels far more important than it looks on paper

I saw that movie with my ex.
Somehow had sex during movie.
Movie was alright 6.5/10. Sex was crap 4/10.

I may be the only one here who enjoyed it. Certainly better than most werewolf movies.
For English we studied thr great gatsby which is actually a rly good book but the film sucks pretty bad (the Mia farrow/Robert redford one was what we watched. The new one wasn't a thing at the time lol. Apparently Francis ford coppola disowned it for not being true to his screenplay at all lol) and a streetcar named desire which is is both a great play and literally one of the best American films (brando in it=probably my single favourite performance in all of cinema)
I'm probably the only guy who doesn't dislike the new Gatsby movie.

I recognize all of its flaws, but I can't bring myself to hate it. I don't know why.
Spaceballs
10/10
this is a fan-fucking-tastic comedy

Whenever I hear the 2013 Gatsby mentioned, this is all I can think about.

Seven - 7/10 (no I'm not doing that on purpose, I didn't even realize this until I typed it)
Am I the only one who found the ending really predictable? Maybe it was because I always heard about how shocking the ending was, and I was more analytic about it, but it seemed rather obvious. [sp]First off, it should be apparent that there wouldn't be two bodies already there at the scene, Spacey's character was too clever for that. So either two of the three of the ones present (Freeman, Pitt, Spacey) were going to die, or someone (or two people) else would come into the scene and die. Still, at this point, I was pretty interested in what Spacey had in store, especially after hyping it up in the car ride for like 5 minutes. But as soon as the van came into view, I knew a body (or a body part heh) would be rolled in. And when it was Freeman who walked over and Spacey said "here he goes" it was really obvious it was Tracey. Paltrow was portrayed as an innocent and pregnant woman the entire movie who seemingly didn't have a role in the storyline, so it fit in perfectly. And then everything else fell into place afterwards.[/sp]
Regardless, this was a good movie. The grimy, rainy city was a perfect setting, the murders were creative and disturbing (especially the sloth victim, jesus), and the trio of the main characters acted really well, except for Pitt's sort of hammy acting at the end [sp]"WHAT'S IN THE BAAAAAWKS"[/sp]
And despite the religious correlation in the movie, I don't really think the movie was as deep as people say it is.
