Wolf Children: 9.5/10 I cried
Gone Girl - 9.5/10 this movie was fucking legit, seriously the best movie i've seen in a while. trent reznor is going to win another oscar for the score, he has such a good thing going on with fincher.
Escape From L.A. - 4/10 Absolute schlock, but it's hilarious and fun
escape from LA rules fuck all the haters
The Bourne Legacy: 10/10
What the fuck how
Just came back from Gone Girl and what a movie. I don't really want to talk about it because you should go into it with as little info as possible. I'll say this and it's a funny comparison with another recent movie. I found it funny that [sp]this movie had gore done better than The Equalizer who focused on brutal action.[/sp]

I wasn't expecting there to be any so that kinda ruined it.[/sp]
The Cabin In The Woods (2012) - 8/10 Not really a fan of horror movies, but this did take all the cliches and put them into something new and interesting. Also [sp]SCP Containment Breach: The Movie[/sp]
Does anyone know where I can order this poster? [t]http://i.imgur.com/24JmVI4.jpg.jpg[/t]
The Bourne Legacy: 10/10
kill
The Guard 9/10 That was almost perfect, funny, clever, cheeky. Great movie.
[sp]There was a spoiler before the movie even started, when it comes up saying "this movie contains strong bloody violence".
Even with that being said [sp]NPH getting his fucking throat slit was brutal.[/sp]
[sp]I was completely taken off-guard by that scene. I nearly jumped out of my seat when she grabbed the box cutter.[/sp]
Tales From Earthsea (a Studio Ghibli film): 8/10 Although I didn't completely understand the plot which at some points even the characters seemed unsure of, I enjoyed the performances by Timothy Dalton and Willem Dafoe. As per with Studio Ghibli, the animation and art style was sublime, and the locations which were visited in the movie felt alive.
anyone heard of this movie called '71? it's apparently really good
Boyhood This is the movie. It wasn't epic, but it was just great from the start to finish. And that's something, with stellar cast and writing. For me, it was "Feels the Movie", but I'm sure prople from different generations will find aspects appealing to their own backstory. Simply amazing.
Dazed and Confused (1993) - 8/10 A good film. The story was good, Music was amazing but the acting was a little awkward in some parts. Wish they'd also expand a little more about [sp]O'Donnell after he got rekt by the freshmen.[/sp]
anyone heard of this movie called '71? it's apparently really good
I don't think its getting a US release, which is a bummer because it does sound interesting.
I don't think its getting a US release, which is a bummer because it does sound interesting.
i might go see it just because you cant
Calvary 9/10 Sneak Preview, we didn't know what to expect and it hit us quite hard, it's not a light-hearted Irish movie, it's not "The Guard" but it's equaly brilliant. I know I like it but I can't write a review, it's gonna take me a few days to think about this movie.
Calvary is maybe the best thing either of the McDonaugh brothers have done but also it's been a while since I've seen In Bruges
I saw "In Bruges" and "The Guard" yesterday and today I walked into the cinema not knowing what movie we would see and then they showed us Calvary.
i might go see it just because you cant
Damn you, scot! Damn you to hell!
GONE GIRL 5/5 [sp]can only clarify in gone girl whether or not it was ben's baby or neil's baby, since he said he was cumming just before throat was slit[/sp]
i just found out the song played during the slo-mo scenes in Dredd is actually a justin bieber song slowed down 800% crazy
i just found out the song played during the slo-mo scenes in Dredd is actually a justin bieber song slowed down 800% crazy
pretty sure that was just a rumour
they didn't actually use the justin bieber song but it did serve as an inspiration for the slo mo song. pretty trippy
Enemy 6/10 Initially 8/10 After thinking on it a bit Great cinematography, lighting, soundtrack, and Jake Gyllenhaal was great in it. [sp]I didn't understand the spiders, or the deeper meaning of the whole movie initially. I mean, I knew it had something to do with the two of them actually being the same person, and that it was generally about adultery, but I there were still a lot of layers I had no idea about. I watched an explanation video and that helped immensely. It was also weird that it was set in Toronto and the surrounding area and it actually being acknowledged as Toronto. As a resident of the GTA, I was delighted, but it was still strange.[/sp]
i just found out the song played during the slo-mo scenes in Dredd is actually a justin bieber song slowed down 800% crazy
it was the inspiration and they used it in pre-production as a filler, the actual movie uses original music and this song is playing during the scene (the druggies are listening to it)

Found. As a big fan of dark, morbid movies, I was excited as hell for this movie, but it turned out to be pretty awful. The acting ruined almost every scene, and even the gore was bad. The blood looked like it had the consistency of molasses, and apparently, getting hit in the face with a shovel does nothing but give you a bloody nose, and having your face repeatedly smashed into a tree just gives you a slightly red mark on your skin. 2/10, only because the concept of the film has so much potential.
