Monsters University, I give it an A.
It delivers mainly to those who grew up with the Monsters Inc. via giving us an expanded world of the last film. It gives us more fun characters who are very lovable. I got everything I wanted out of this film and hope that pixar starts another great spree of movies.

Please tell me Nathan Fillion's character plays a large role.
could have been JohnnyMo1 come to think of it
I don't think so
Just searched. I didn't say that in the last year in here at least.

Bugger I checked imbd and to be honest I don't even remember the character he played who I think was the head guy of the Jock fraternity.

Man of Steel - 7/10
First off before I begin, I must warn you all that this movie is mainly CGI, 93% of the screen time is purely CGI. Too much CGI in fact, that it took them a year just to add the overabundance of CGI. I didn't mind the changes to the original Superman story, though [sp]Lois Lane already knowing Superman's identity[/sp], and [sp] The Fortress of Solitude was just some Genesis ship that's destroyed in the ending[/sp]. I couldn't stand Amy Adams either, she just didn't work as Lois Lane. But Michael Shannon was General Zod, he was perfect for the role. The movie begins to drag on during the middle and third act, it felt like it was gonna end before going on another plot point and then another plot point. I plan on seeing this movie again in 3D.
Dark City 9/10
I became curious after seeing that a lot of people here mentioned it... and I have to say I found it fucking amazing! The story was great, almost comic-book like. Some people say the acting is god-awful, but I didn't think so - it fits the atmosphere and surreal feeling so well. I thought the lead actor did a good job, and his character was well written since he is smart and relatable in his decisions. The way the doctor speaks is pretty annoying though. Anyways, great movie.

Actually,[sp]Lois Lane knowing Clark early on was already thought up by Siegel in 1940 but it was never published until 2003.[/sp]

He had a role? How the fuck didn't I know about this?
Escape From New York - 7/10
[sup]should I watch Escape From L.A.[/sup]

YES.
The Road
7/10
The Road is a pretty good movie and I like it a lot. Although it has some cliches here and there, especially in the relationship between the kid and his dad. Also I feel like the movie is dragging on at times. Still it's worth seeing it.
I loved The Road. Mostly because I love slow paced movies.
Upstream Color 83/100
From the same creators of Primer; Upstream Color is equally puzzling in terms of story with excellent photography and editing. Really good sound design and acting as well!
My only gripe with the film is perhaps a lacking of a clear message story-wise, but I think I might watch it again to try to understand it wholly.

Yeah it's a great title, although I never saw any trailer or media coverage at all. This is also the second time that I watched it, I liked it more on my first watch. On my second watch I felt like some party were pretty slow, even for a person like me who likes slow paced movies.
Iron Man 3
Really different from what I was expecting. I dont know if that's a good thing, I'm still trying to let some of the odd decisions sink in, like how they handled some of the characters and stuff, especially, of course, [sp]The Mandarin, and how the entire campaign for this movie was based on him and, well, you know what happens. I guess that was the point, though, I don't know. They probably thought that the idea of his magic rings just wouldn't work for a tech-themed hero like Iron Man, which is understandable, but I'm still disappointed.[/sp]
The actions scenes in general are really cool and really fit the movie, but still, I can't seem to ignore how Iron Man seems to be [sp]even weaker than in other movies, and he didn't even get any upgrades in this movie, no extremis brain connection with his suit or anything.[/sp]
Well, anyway, I enjoyed it. Most of my complaints are because of it not being true to the comic books with a lot of stuff, but still, a pretty good movie. Not better than Iron Man 1, but still good.

If you enjoyed the movie you should definitely give the novel a try.

Well, the reason why [sp]Tony seems weaker is probably because his PTSD from nearly dying at the end of Avengers, which the movie brings up quite a few times.[/sp]
Dog Day Afternoon - 8.4/10
loved it! I got this Taxi driver vibe from it, everything starts so silly realistic then gradually turns darker and things start to get more personal and you start to see the protagonists alot different near the end
i havent seen many movies with al pacino (godfather, scarface etc) but he really nailed it with this movie
Monsters university 7/10
It was alright, those who liked Monsters inc will most likely like it no matter what. The last, what, 25-30 min, were really good and taught me as a fellow confused student who doesnt know what to do with my studies or life or w.e, quite a bit. As a Pixar movie i guess it was quite average, but as I said, the last 25 minutes was really well done and I recommend this movie for anyone who's seen monsters inc, and/or like animated films with fun characters and a great lesson.

You'd be surprised
Rusty enjoyed Final Destination 5 (I did as well, that opening music is boss), but a lot of people here seemed to either not like it or had mixed thoughts.

Yes.
Apollo 13 - 9.5/10 - Bonus points for staying true to actual events and realism.
Such a good film.
This shot was A+

Probably because FD4 is one of the worst movies ever made and tarnished the series for the rest of time.
Fun fact: FD5 is the only "fresh" movie in the series.
Man of Steel
7/10
I thought it was very solid and, for the most part, well done. There were quite a few gripes I had with it, though.
The Last Stand 7/10 great action flick, had some cliche, cheesy moments but overall not a bad movie + Arnold Schwarzenegger

I thought the pacing and editing was so terrible. The scenes were just oddly put together, and there was a weird mix of humor and seriousness.
The car scenes were cool though. Best part of the movie.
