Snowpiercer - 7.5/10
Finally decided to sit down and watch this, and it was pretty good. The only issues I can think of are, bad shaky cam in some fight scenes, [sp]the girl is clairvoyant for some reason, it's never introduced in the movie that clairvoyance is a thing until then.[/sp], and the ending felt a bit convenient at times.
Overall it's pretty good, go watch.
closer to a 6 for me
I don't know if I'd go as low as a six, but looking back on it that last half was really lacking, so I guess it would be closer to a 7 or maybe a 6.5 than an 8

Also (finally) Groundhog Day, 8/10

For me, Snowpiercers ending was just a horrid idea.
[sp]The girl that barely knows how to do anything outside of what she knows inside of the train, seeing as how she was a train baby. Then the kid, will basically be useless and couldn't even fend off a seal from biting at him.[/sp]
Birdman: 10/10
Best movie I've seen in a long time
we still have to wait 2 more months.
FUCKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK
haha eat shit
imagine my outcry realizing that gone girl will never screen here
Not missing a whole lot
Gone Girl isn't a movie you HAVE to see in theaters, nor is it a movie that'll be remembered for decades to come, but it's still a pretty darn good fuckin' movie
John Wick - 8.5/10
Saw it last Thursday and it was a pretty solid action movie imo. Really enjoyed the lack of shaky camera and attention to detail. Although I sort of found it odd how there wasn't a single cop to be found in the entirety of New York.

imagine me sitting here not knowing what movie to go see so i botch an attempt to go see all of them
seriously, i need to go binge at a theater and see fury, nightcrawler, interstellar, gone girl and birdman whenever it comes here (most likely will only be a limited release which means nyc)
the first four alone require at least two separate theaters to go to
Snowpiercer, didn't even finish it. Too fucking gimmicky. Stopped right about after the new year in the train. 0/10.

Shame. You missed [sp]Ed Harris and the kronole reveal.[/sp]

Jagten(The Hunter)
8/10. Definitely worth watching all the way through. Could not recommend a movie more if you're looking for a good drama.
I'm watching Apocalypse Now as we speak. Time to see if it lives up to the praise. I'm sure it will.
Watchmen
5/5
I think everything that needs to be said about this has already been said. Still, a favorite of mine. I need to get out and see the Ultimate Edition, though.
watchmen is far from a perfect film man
the ultimate freighter cut was pretty neat to watch though
watchmen is far from a perfect film man
True, but I still love it.
i haven't been able to bring myself to watch it after having seen all three cuts once each

Sorry but the film just didn't make any sense.
They're traveling on a railroad which is not maintained in any way. Ice and other obstacles piling on the railroad over the years apparently, and wobbling bridges that take away your breath as you cross them. And by some miracle they are not dead yet.
[editline]11th November 2014[/editline]
Not the mention the whole "class struggle" that takes place inside the train.
It's basically a different, and a fucked up version of Elysium, a kind of a terrible film which can be summed up by the words "Illegal immigrants, IN SPACE" where Snowpiercer can be summed up with "Apocalyptic struggle, IN A TRAIN" and this is where I throw my arms up in the air.

Besides railroad maintenance, which just realies heavily on your suspension of disbelief (Wilford created a fucking train that runs on water, come on), it all sort of comes together in the end. They don't spend a huge amount of time in the upper-class cars, they just sort of brush over them because life there sucks almost the same. They even use the same drugs there, for christ's sake.

Yeah, I actually read the ending. [sp]They crash, right? And there is a polar bear.[/sp]
But yeah, just too crazy, sort of "unbelievable" type of movie for me I guess. :/

ending spoilers [sp]curtis and wilford have a big speech at the end, wilford reveals that john hurt was actually in on the whole thing, and that the train's survival depended on synergy of it's back and front, like a snake or whatever metaphor he uses. remember curtis saying he can't lead with both his hands still intact, which makes him a fighter? he loses a hand in the confrontation, and realises that the synergy must continue. and then psychic girl blows up the train with kronole, which is still explosive because it's literally industrial waste, a lot of people die. the polar bear reveal means that there is still hope for people, and that the yekaterina bridge theory (snow thawing) was real.[/sp] as you can see it all goes downhill in the last minutes, but still, it's not a super-terrible movie
The ending still sucks for Snowpiercer. At least I think.
Lucy - 6/10. They could have done something so much better for a plot of 'unlocking' the human mind, instead of bad guys chasing her because she has their drugs, while she explores the infinite possibilities of space, time, and relevancy. [sp]Only to put herself onto a USB driver and say; "Hey I am everywhere, I'm like god, man"[/sp]
I mean the [sp]time travel parts were pretty cool, and some scenes were pretty nice, but overall it's bleh[/sp]

Lucy - 6/10.
more than it deserves
I decided to watch every single MCU movie in order of release (or close to that if it makes more sense).
Iron Man: 9/10
Fucking amazing start to a fucking amazing universe.
The Incredible Hulk: 6.5/10
Much, much better than I remember it. I think most of my bad memories of this film are actually from the 2003 film which was just terrible. I liked how they skipped his origin story and the film actually started months later. Edward Norton is not even close to Mark Ruffalo though.
Iron Man 2: 6.4/10
I knew what to expect which made it a lot more bearable, but drunk Tony Stark, Justin Hammer (that other arms dealer guy) and Ivan Vanko (Whiplash) made me cringe. Other than that it really wasn't all that bad IMO.
The Consultant: Tony Stark/3
Fun little 3 minute short film about the end of Hulk featuring Coulson and some other guy I should probably know.
A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to Thor's Hammer: Bad ass Coulson/10
Short scene showing Coulson being funny, cool and badass. In that order.
Next up is Thor.
Unrelated:
Also watched Interstellar yesterday. Awesome movie. It's obvious Nolan was inspired by 2001 at least to some degree. I watched it with 3 friends, one of them was very confused and didn't like it, one was slightly confused and wasn't sure what to think of it and one wasn't too confused and liked it. I guess it's not for everyone.
10/10 - It's watchable.
I also saw Interstellar today and I found it really boring personally. Its another Avatar moment for me, looks damn nice but just doesn't have enough substance to keep me going. In fact I wanted to walk out the cinema at parts and just sit in the car. 2.5/10

you have a mental deficiency i am so sorry
finished first series of The Knick.
Honestly brilliant. Such potential to surpass the rest of the medical drama.
And Clive Owen never really got his pay off when it came to films.. only a handful can you notice him and a very few hidden gems. Such a shame tbh.
is nymphomaniac vol. 1 and 2 any good
i forgot today was veterans day
ironically i watched this

8/10
The Raid 2
Best action movie ever made/10, seriously go watch the first one and then this immediately
Enter the Dragon
Kinda overrated honestly
The 'philosophy' of Jeet Kune Do Bruce tried to put into it is all cribbed from taoism lol
The last fight scene in the mirror room was pretty cool tho
Can anyone vouch for Game of Death?
