Watched 2 of the Pusher films last night. Pusher 1 - 9/10 Pusher 2 - 10/10 Man Pusher 2 was just so good and I really felt bad for Tonny. Pusher 1 was great but I just felt 2 was far better. Watched some of Pusher 3 but I fell asleep, but it was really good from what I saw. Whats your guys favorite in the series? Also, is it safe to assume [sp]Frank died? I know its not shown but Milo in the 2nd film sort of imply he died, also it did show people getting ready to whack Frank[/sp]
Probably because FD4 is one of the worst movies ever made and tarnished the series for the rest of time. Fun fact: FD5 is the only "fresh" movie in the series.
It had a bitchin' opening, [sp]David Koechner taking a wrench to the face[/sp] and an amazing ending, what more could you want.
The Impossible I thought this movie would be slightly sugar coated but damn they didn't hold back. It was quite graphic and dealt with some heavy shit. The visual effects were also very well done, a perfect blend of sets and CGI. Some complaints is it did get a bit sappy family drama around the end, forgetting about the whole tsunami thing. They also focused almost entirely on the one family giving the movie a fairly narrow scope. I give it 8 sad faces out of 10.
the zebra in madagascar is chris rock, not harold perrineau. they dont even look or sound alike. thats pretty racist dude
I did make that mistake once, don't kill me

This is the End 8/10 Not to be taken seriously, but holy fuck it was fucking hilarious.
watching Syriana a second time; more into it than I was before, however... there is a fucking moth on my TV and it is distracting me from this film, what do I do :(
The Internship - 6.5/10 I feel bad, but I actually quite liked it. I dunno if its because I feel like there just hasn't been a decent comedy at the cinema in such a long time but this is probably the best comedy I've been able to see out since the start of this year. It had some funny moments, Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn are pretty terrible and the premise of the movie is pretty bad and predictable but fuck I just ended up liking it.
World War Z 9/10 I would rate it lower, but what the heck. I enjoyed the film. It was thrilling, scary, and a bit fun.
WWZ is not the worst thing ever like some people are saying (its not great but its ok i guess- awful script THANKS DAMON LINDELOF (why is he still allowed to write movies?? he is awful)) if you rate WWZ as 9/10 you must have seen approx. 3 films all of them the transformers trilogy
watching Syriana a second time; more into it than I was before, however... there is a fucking moth on my TV and it is distracting me from this film, what do I do :(
after the moth chilled out on the black section of the screen, I was able to let it cool off so I can just enjoy it. The film is... damn fantastic. The first time seeing it I was incredibly tired and I wasn't concentrating at all. Not a lot of people will understand what the fuck goes on because it's VERY much a film you have to really work yourself into. It's definitely not a straight-forward political thriller at all. What we have here is a giant mesh of stories really working together for various causes. Whether it be America's greed for oil without realising consequences on others and even going all the way with their evil. The way this concludes is very much the polar opposite of how Babel ended. I say this because as an experience, it's very similar in structure to Babel, which turns out to be one of the strongest movie experiences for me. Although armed with a supreme cast, literally I'm not saying this because they're hollywood actors but because there's a reality within them and something really great in Clooney's performance too. Here's not an ordinary informant/spy because here he seemlessly is able to talk languages and have a comfortable conversation in Farsi or Arabic. That's probably a tough thing to do and you can tell it throughout that this isn't exactly a normal role for him. It's only 2 hours long, but if you miss/don't concentrate on a segment, you'll veer off in your experience and it won't be much good, as what happened to me the first time. One of the more successful parallel cinema films imo and very well written in both foreign and english tongues.
I tried watching Syriana when it first came out and it bored me to tears, might have to try it again.
Really required a rewatch but once you realise what it's really about.. it's very strong.
Have people stopped watching movies or what, this thread has been very dead as of late. Battle Royale I love the cheesiness of this movie; the overacting, the ridiculous amounts of blood. It manages to blend those aspects with some great story moments and characters. One of my favourite action/horror movies.
Monsters University - 10/10 I don't know what to say but the film was really good, the ending was also emotional too. Otherwise, my childhood has been restored
are you rusty
if u think damon lindelhoff is a hack fraud and the transformers movies are bad you = rusty ??? thats pretty ok with me [editline]27th June 2013[/editline] movies he writes for are consistantly getting slammed for making no god damn sense - why do people keep hiring him??
The Last Stand 7/10 great action flick, had some cliche, cheesy moments but overall not a bad movie + Arnold Schwarzenegger
The movie had some really awkward product endorsement... Brand new Chevrolet Sonic, ZL1, Silverado, and ZR1 all packed in and are vehicles prominently seen through out the film. I also do recall a movie website pointing Chevrolet was working with team for this film. This was kinda noticeable when the FBI guy was saying the ZR1 does all this stuff, and can outrun all this stuff... As stated above in other posts, weird humor that didn't fit in, unorganized cuts from each segment of the movie, and some unexplained motives for some characters[sp]the damsel in distress randomly getting it on with the bad guy, then later getting arrested for it[/sp]
I planned to got to the cinema to watch World War Z, apparently it only came out today here and it's only available in 3D. Fuck it. Although I wanted to see The place beyond the Pines aswell.

saw Before Midnight What a film.. what a friggin' film. Not been gobsmacked by a piece of cinema this year yet but I knew one step to a smaller release will easily strike chords with me. Now this is as far away from a big romantic drama film as you're gonna get. Its core is literally life and that's it. You will experience natural, seemless conversation and not iddy bitty ones which are merely plot devices but actual reflective discussion moving through symbols in life and drama as well as sex and happiness, and partnership. It can be so very relevent to parents' lives, especially mothers here. It's a bewildering array of fully-focused personal and very real love, spirituality and conflicts. I haven't seen the first two in this series and in all honesty it probably paid off, I stepped into their lives at this stage where things are tough, past relationships causing horror and the children having the upmost determining factor in whether people can really get on and live. Now this may not answer a whole lot of things for you, but it's such a sweet film that has no stodge whatsoever. I was able to lose myself in conversation and that was the key in my enjoyment here. For people who found Sunset Limited a breeze, this will connect with you in a smooth way. Some could moan that "only intellectuals" could enjoy this, tell em to fuck off this is the deal. Shot straight to top 2013 flick for me.
AK'z, I fucking love your reviews. Thanks to you, I've watched and enjoyed a metric fucktonne of movies. Cheers man, keep it up.
The Purge - 5/10 Paranormal Activity - 5/10
Jason X - 2/10 One of the worst slasher films I've ever seen, I hate slasher films but I never knew they would be like this piece of shit. The CGI is bad, the plot makes no sense, the film is obnoxious and stupid.
I saw Jason X when it was first released and I remember it being hilarious.
I can't wait to see Before Midnight. Not seen the first two (on my list) but the trailers look absolutely captivating and it looks like a beautiful experience of a movie. I'll see it over the weekend I reckon. I'd say tomorrow but we'll probably go see This Is The End since it seems like a better film to see with freinds (not that I'm complaining, it looks hilarious. I do love the films the cast makes.) I watched the first half of Bande A Part and will return to finish it later (plans got in the way- forgot about them) but it seemed interesting, far as I can tell with most Godard films it takes about half a film to really get started anyway. So I can't fairly judge it just now at all. Anna Karina looks a little strange as a long haired blonde though! I wish I just like, had films. And had the time for them. So many films, so hard to get some of them, so little time. My to-watch list is constantly growing and I just do not have the time or energy for them all and it makes me sad.

Saw Monsters University 8 /10 still absolute Pixar quality, awesome. The only thing I could criticise is the uninspired story but it works and apart from that it's really really entertaining.
