The Machinist 9/10 Me and my girlfriend decided to watch any movie we found, and some guy on Facepunch was talking about 'The Machinist' and Christian Bale's weight lost, so we thought what the hell. :v: Really, really well made film. [sp]The only reason it's a 9 and not a 10 is because the blowjob scene in the first 5 seconds was awkward as fuck to watch with her parents there. :v:[/sp]
Evil Dead (2013) - 9/10 GROOVY
Never Let Me Go - 7.9/10 quoted from IMDB: Bittersweet. Poignant. Profound. Perfect. depressing soundtrack too :(

Freddy Got Fingered 10/10 would watch again. Seriously though, I managed to convince my house mate to watch and said I'd watch Pitch Perfect with her at some point in return. She was a bit freaked out by it (we knew this would happen, which is why we wanted her to watch it). Few films make me laugh like this does. Rip Torn is class in it. I like to tell myself that there's a lot more going on here than meets the eye but I really don't think there is.

Although the gory parts of that movie traumatized me a little as a kid.
yet 7.9? that's like 3.9/5
well for the type of movie it was and what it was trying to achieve, it did it perfectly imo but my personal experience was around an 8 i guess, which is very high ive only given a 10 to like 2 or 3 movies ever

well you did call it beautiful and poignant, just confused me that's all :(
Never Let Me Go - 7.9/10 quoted from IMDB: Bittersweet. Poignant. Profound. Perfect. depressing soundtrack too :(
The cinematography in that movie was so damn beautiful. I could watch it muted.
Oblivion 6/10 It looked nice I guess, but I only saw the first fourty or so minutes though. some acquaintances invited me to watch the film and they spent most of the time just playing on their cellphones and after a bit, they started to leave and they said, "come on let's go eat". I said, "wait, aren't we going to finish the movie?" they looked all surprised and amused and someone said, "the whole movie? who ever watches the whole movie? We're not just going to sit there for two hours doing nothing." They said they could just go online and look up what happens anyway. When I asked them why we went anyway, they said it was just "something to do." I don't think I wanna hang out with them anymore.
The Host was better than i had expected, i liked it!
Cube (1997) 7.5/10, original premise, but a little dragging at some parts But I'll never stop laughing at this part: AH!
It's amazing what they did with Cube with only $350,000.
Looper. Very surprisingly good, though the plot was a bit obvious halfway in.
The Vicious Kind I don't really know what to say about this movie. Suprisingly good, I read the back of the DVD Case(Yes, I don't own a Bluray player) and I didn't think it would be my kind of movie. Soundtrack is pretty good aswell, I've found myself adding some of the music to my Spotify playlist. I will have to give this movie a solid 8.5/10. Worth a watch.
The Devil's Rejects 9/10 goddamn this film is good. Second watch and it still blew me away. I love the way the characters are potrayed: fucked up fascist rednecks that kill as easily as they breathe. The movie takes no sides, you choose who you think is good and who is evil. The protagonists are sick fucks, the sheriff is a sick fuck, everyone somehow has a dark and a bright side. Hands down this is one of the best horror movies of its decade, and yes it's a horror movie.
It's amazing what they did with Cube with only $350,000.
It's amazing, they filmed the entire thing with 1 and a half cube sets. [editline]26th April 2013[/editline] Also American Reunion. 3/5 Went into this with low expectations and I was surprised. It's not a great movie, but it was decent enough and made me laugh a lot more than it should have. Definitely the second best AP movie behind the first one. Granted it had some stupid moments and there wasn't much of a driving force. But the detail they put into getting every single actor from the first one with all the same sets and props was pretty cool.

I now feel lucky to have friends who like movies as much as I do.
The Impossible - 4 emotions out of 5
Iron Man 3 - 9/10 Great movie, even better than the first one.
Disconnect 10/10 Really good movie! The message behind it is kinda chilling just knowing that all that happens on a daily basis. Would recommend seeing and would see again.

Alien 8/10 What a intense movie, seriously I nearly died from anxiety. I never got around watching the Alien franchise beside of AvP which is just horrible compared to this. This movie really surprised me because I expected something about Marines and such. First off the amount of detail is just amazing, especially for 1979. The Nostromo looks absolutely astonishing, it's visually impressive and a joy to watch. The characters were also really nicely done and each character felt distinct with their own motivation and character, it felt very natural and their gestures and faces told more than the words they said. Also it had a unexpected twist which was really weird at first. What I really liked was the situation on the ship which was really tense, everyone was nervous and had their own concerns. Also I like that you are not given that much background information about everything which allows the viewer to discover everything for himself. My biggest gripe is that some of the action effects look really silly, but that's only natural for such an old movie. Especially during the ending scence, nevertheless it was just such an intense situation. Also has very slow pacing, but I rather enjoyed it because it never ceased to entertain me.
Seven Pounds. First time seeing it and I found it quite a heart touching story, although I found the story a bit confusing. I saw the ending coming a mile away but the plot twist caught me off guard. I'd give it about a 8/10.

I've introduced/forced people to watch it in the past, and the majority would agree with what you said. It's not what you'd expect at first glance, which is probably what hooked me initially. The AvP movies slaughter the franchise, but I haven't really paid much attention to them. I've watched them, sat through an hour or two of somewhat okay stuff, but never really hated them. [sp]Once every few months I re watch alien/s.[/sp]
The Life Aquatic It was pretty funny but very weird. I didn't really like it.

Glad that I watched it.
