The Wolverine- 4/5
Caught it today, release day. It's really good. Gonna say straight up that not only is it the best X-men movie, it's the best marvel movie. Superman 2 might tie but I'm not sure. It also rivals the Dark Knight imo. Better than the other 2 Nolan films. Easy the best superhero film of the year too (although Iron Man 3 sucked and although I praised it after I saw it Man Of Steel was pretty shitty as well)

Hyperbole is fun.
Also, Supernan and Batman are DC not Marvel.
Also they should change the X-Men movie titles to Wolverine and Friends. They show off Wolverine really well but the other characters aren't done well at all besides like Magneto, Xavier or Mystique. The only X-Men movie I got that actually centered more around the X-Men was First Class. It feels like John Byrne is back on writing X-Men again.
John Dies At the End. The film version of one of my all time favourite books.
They fucked it up so bad. Ohmigod.
Worlds End - 7/10
Good movie, worth watching, but some of the jokes felt a bit forced and dragged out. I still prefer Hot Fuzz over SoTD and TWE, but that's just me.
[sp]Cornetto gag was amusing, but felt too forced, sort of like 'Oh shit the movie's almost over and we haven't mentioned Cornetto yet'[/sp]
wolverine movies make the xmen movies redundant. he's the best xmen, the xmen films were basically about him anyway, so basically they should not make anymore xmen films and just make wolverine movies. although there is a little midway credit scene that alludes to otherwise...
I feel like they're going to pull an Avengers. Do a movie on each main character separately, then bring them all together in an X-Men movie.
I haven't seen the Wolverine yet but I'm glad to hear that it's good.

Pretty sure they're not because there's a shit ton of X-Men and Days of Future Past is going to be after The Wolverine.
X-men movies are plagued by the cheesy introduction of powers, poor acting, odd costumes and weird plots.
does the wolverine have any of these problems?
watched Red 2 - 6.5/10
havent seen the original one but i kinda enjoyed this one, nothing great or anything to take serious
just silly and wacky
Warrior - 8/10
Had it sitting around for ages, finally decided to watch it. I'm not into MMA at all, but I still found it an intense and very enjoyable film. Tom Hardy is a great actor.

If Rusty liked it, I'd say no.
it has one character that's cheesy and shitty but she doesn't have that much dialogue so while it's annoying you can look past it. Doesn't fall under any of the rest of those issues imo. Costume design was good, solid acting, strong non-convoluted plot.. And aside said cheesy character Wolverine is the only character with mutant powers.
never seen those xman movies, couldn't be asked...
if wolverine is actually an intriguing character, I may watch one.
Million Dollar Baby - 9.5/10
Usually I can write up a ton about a movie after I finish watching it, but damn, kinda left me a bit speechless. Wasn't expecting it to turn into what it did. [sp]Thought I'd get a nice, happy, story of triumph and then I got a big cry fest FUCK YEAH![/sp] Either way, fantastic movie. Kinda reminded me how old Eastwood is getting though... I don't like to think about that though..

that's not a spoiler, but yes it is a real heart wrecker.

watching die harder(lol), they did an awful job with this stunt double. Doesn't really look like the dude at all and he's on screen for like a solid 5 seconds.
it's not called Die Harder... dumb american release.
it's the best one imo.
[editline]26th July 2013[/editline]
stunt doubles never really bothered me in fights unless they're done poorly.
Pacific rim:
Fucking amazing action film, this was made to be seen on a big screen. however the characters and drama were a bit....eh.
for that it gets a 9/10
Requiem For a Dream
8/10
that shit was weird and so so dark. Very well done though.

die hard 2 is the worst one (apart from 4 and 5)
Moonrise Kingdom - 7/10
It wasn't really for me, but the music was very good and fitting for the movie. Without the good music it would've gotten a 6.
The Devil's Rejects was p rad sid haig owns
die hard 2 is the worst one (apart from 4 and 5)
Personally I'd rate them from best to worst: 1, 3, 2, 4, 5
Only God Forgives - 8/10
Why did this get panned by critics? Any particular reason for the polarized opinions I'm seeing in this thread and on IMDB/Rotten Tomatoes?
The Shining
9/10
Such an awesome movie and after reading some really in-depth analysises it just feels more awesome to watch it. It's like a puzzle, beside of that the whole movie has such a great atmosphere.
Personally I'd rate them from best to worst: 1, 3, 2, 4, 5
My favorite is 3. Samuel Jackson and Bruce Willis = best teammates

um thats not personal thats factual
jesus house of 1000 corpses would be way more enjoyable without all the slowmo and inverted colour shots, i'm sure it's suppose to add atmosphere but it just makes me wanna vom

it's like the movie was only an hour long so they extended it with a half hour of bad editting
spider man 3
wouldve been good if they took out one or two of the villains
they could take out sandman- but he's actually the best villain in the movie
they could take out venom- but then even if venom himself only appears in like, the last 15 mins of the movie (and isn't really good at all), the symbiote and him are big parts of the film so they'd just have to redo the whole thing if they took him out (which would be pretty great)
they could take out harry osborn- or at least just his whole goblin thing, and made a new way for him and peter to become friends again, because it's already hard having to deal with emo vengeful parker, why have an emo vengeful harry too?
overall, its a clusterfuck
6/10
The whole part with him being a smug twat dancing in the streets and shit should have been cut from the movie.

Sam Raimi was forced to make so many additions to the movie due to executive meddling and it shows. Venom wasn't even supposed to be in it.
