Monster University - Borderline 8/10 Enjoyable to watch, many funny moments, serious moments were serious. Plot is less clichéd than you expect but still recognisably a university coming-of-age type story. Didn't do anything to ruin or take anything away from the first film, might even make a second viewing of Monsters, inc. better.
Some things don't line up with Inc but it's very small.
Brazil Terry Gilliam is a bit like marmite, you either love him or hate him. Whilst I didn't enjoy his film Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas I still was able to understand its importance and genius. Based on this I watched Brazil with an open mind. Halfway in I realised this was a collection of loosely connected scenes leading to absolutely nowhere. The entire team must have been on LSD to make something so incoherant. It was the most painful 2 hours I've spent in front of a screen. The sets were made of plastic, the story just randomly turned at 90 degrees and the characters didn't make me give a shit how things worked out. We craved the end credits so we could regain our sanity. Oh I was a big fan of your style of moderation because you never reached for the banhammer if somebody said something you didn't like. I just happen to post that I didn't feel comfortable around homosexuals, thats 'comfortable' not 'I fucking hate them' quite a massive difference there and you brand me a right wing, homophobic, racist, hate monger. Should I brand you a left wing, sandal wearing hippie who screams victim behind a pear of round rimmed spectacles? Would that be a presumptuous generalisation? Maybe I'll just call you a pedo, not that I've any reason to do so but because it makes me feel like I have a moral high ground based on mere personal egomania. Grow up.
man look at all this internet butthurt also brazil and f&l are fantastic films you're just silly.
Hot Fuzz 21 Jump Street Shaun of the Dead All decent movies.
i fixed you are list [editline]1st August 2013[/editline]
Oh I was a big fan of your style of moderation because you never reached for the banhammer if somebody said something you didn't like. [editline]1st August 2013[/editline] to her credit she is right about brazil
beautiful man http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0294342/
The Lifeguard - 5/10 Kristen Bell is a terrible mess of emotions.
beautiful man http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0294342/
Wow its perfect, he's a beautiful man, but Jewdozer hates him so he must be gay also, which is what the movie the movie sort of represents (coming out of a closet) Rusty confirmed for Loi Chin Yu
watched 21 Jump Street again holy fuck it's funny easily an 8.5/10
Red 2 - 5/10 Felt like they were just making this one for the money. Plot didn't make sense. Acting was terrible. Monsters University - 9/10
X-men 1 - 8.5/10 - Some of the CGI doesn't hold up as well as the other films, and there are a few oddities here and there, but the movie is still extremely good, and for only being an hour and 44 minutes it doesn't feel short like I was expecting. Also, Wolverine's claws still look better than Origins, and I like how quite a bit of the music sounds like variations of the old cartoon theme. I'm surprised. I haven't watched it in so many years I was expecting to come back disappointed.
The claws in Origins looked so fucking bad, especially when he was testing out his new adamantium claws in the bathroom. Still, I hated Halle Berry's Storm in all the movies for some reason. "Do you know what happens to a toad when it's struck by lightning? The same thing that happens to everything else." lol
A Serbian Film I. I dont want to rate this. The film is just so disturbing and fucked up, i just cant rate it. Though all these hours on 4chan and i was completely immune to whatever happened in the movie, and i'm not proud of it. This is just way too fucked up. Anyone else watched it?
I've heard enough about it to know that I never want to watch it
It isn't as bad as people make it out to be.
Man, being the actual dwarf who plays Gimli in LoTR must have been rad, he literally just had to sit there in the background wearing a beard and smoking fake pipe weed all day [editline]1st August 2013[/editline]
Man, being the actual dwarf who plays Gimli in LoTR must have been rad, he literally just had to sit there in the background wearing a beard and smoking fake pipe weed all day
He isn't an actual dwarf. (That seems to be what you are saying, apologies if i've misinterpreted.) http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0722636/ Also I just watched atonement after reading it for university. Definitely liked the novel more, not much of a surprise there. The movie seemed off in places, i don't know if it's because i had read the novel so recently or what. I'll give it a 7.25/10
I meant the guy they dress up for background shots. There's a second actor who drinks ale or otherwise just stands there when they don't need a close-up, John Rhys-Davies isn't that short dude.

That can't have been fun. even if he did have a lot of fun parts.
I've heard enough about it to know that I never want to watch it
most of the really disturbing stuff is censored/blurred out with shaky cam anyhow. It's actually not as graphic as you might expect.
It isn't as bad as people make it out to be.
Well i watched the uncut version so no blurs out for me. Also [sp]why didnt he fuck her wife instead? though it was probably the drugs[/sp]
Well i watched the uncut version so no blurs out for me. Also [sp]why didnt he fuck her wife instead? though it was probably the drugs[/sp]
I didn't mean there is a blur effect, but that when they show the disturbing parts they sort of censor it with tricky editing, quick cuts and shake cam so you don't get a really good look at the gore. You do definetly see some violent shit but it's not all that clear for these reasons, like most movies.
If you want a fucked up movie that doesn't suck ass watch Martyrs. [editline]1st August 2013[/editline] or The Skin I Live In
Pitch black: 1/10 half of the actors weren't fucking awful and the ship wasn't a terrible set... that's all it has going for it. I think i'd blame the director or the editor or whoever could ruin such a decent concept.
Pitch black: 1/10
I don't think you know what a 1/10 movie is really like.
Watching it gave me a fever. At least with other movies i don't like i go "why are they doing that! that's wrong! that's silly" getting angry is better than having your soul sucked out. It just doesn't draw out any emotion at all. (edit I didn't even finish it though. I didn't have the strength to go on.
Pitch Black is by no means a great movie but it also isn't 1/10. It's pretty average.
..i Didn't give it a zero....
i was told that His make-up/prosthetics were realy bad for him. That can't have been fun. even if he did have a lot of fun parts.
not that dwarves are supposed to be beautiful or anything..
ratings nobody cares the end [editline]1st August 2013[/editline] also why did i watch How To Die in Oregon :(

Stuff like Birdemic or "The Amazing Bulk" would be a 1/10 movie, not something you just found kinda boring.
