I watched Hunger Games on Netflix. God fucking damnit, that was awful. I can't believe that it's somehow even worse than the book. Netflix recommended Battle Royale next, so I'm watching that now.
Elysium - 7/10
Just finished Battle Royale. 9/10. WaaaaaaaAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY better than Hunger Games.
Avoid the sequel milkandcooki, it's pretty shit. Well, shit compared to the first one.

Is Wolverine any good? I've decided to go watch a film at the Cinema this week and I've got choices between the following: Pacific Rim Wolverine The Lone Ranger Kick Ass 2 Man of Steel World War Z Now I've heard that WWZ, MOS, and TLR are pretty shit story wise so I'm not particularly keen on them, but Pacific Rim's theme sounds pretty cool. Wolverine is at the forefront at the moment.
Wolverine is a good movie, but I'd go see Man of Steel if I were you
nah Wolverine was way better than Man of Steel imo. Man Of Steel was quite a fuck up in a lot of departments. [editline]13th August 2013[/editline] WWZ is terrible. I thought it was ok first time I saw it but I saw it again and it was honestly a struggle to sit through. There's so much blatantly stupid shit in that film and it just doesn't make any sense. It also has literally zero excitement and its PG-13 rating is obvious and to the detriment of the film. Definitely the worst film Brad Pitt has done (that I've seen at least) [editline]13th August 2013[/editline] has Brad Pitt actually had any proper stinkers? all the films I've seen of his range from solid to great. [editline]13th August 2013[/editline] yea looking at wikipedia and I've seen 15 Brad Pitt films, the only actually bad one is WWZ.
The Prestige 8/10 Really good movie, and I liked how everything fell into place relatively nicely. Only big complaint I have with it is I wish it had stayed fully in the realm of reality instead of just throwing in magic sci-fi machinery when everything else in the entire film was believable.
I think the only "superhero" movies i haven't seen now are the X-Men & Batman. Been having a real marathon lately :v: Iron Man - 9/10 Iron Man 2 - 8/10 Iron Man 3 - 9/10 Ghost Rider - 8/10 The Hulk - 8/10 The Avengers - 9/10
The Great Gatsby 8/10
Ghost Rider - 8/10 The Hulk - 8/10
aw shit aaaawww shit son
I will never understand casting Nicolas Cage as a 22 year old biker antihero with skullface
expanding on my intricate aw shit point: those movies are hated by most people i know. i've never seen ghost rider entirely, but i know the hulk is just a generally bad movie, with meh acting for the most part and cheesiness all around [editline]13th August 2013[/editline] also ghost rider is pretty much a big budget movie done with b movie effort, from what i gather
I will never understand casting Nicolas Cage as a 22 year old biker antihero with skullface
I really like movies where a "hero" is confronted by thugs and then hell just breaks loose It defines the whole movie for me. Only the first one was good, i cringed and quit watching the sequel. Watchmen - 9.5/10 Because of Rorschach.
Iron Man 2 - 8/10 [sp] solid 5/10 [/sp] Iron Man 3 - 9/10 [sp]5-6/10[/sp] Ghost Rider - 8/10 [sp] 4/10 [/sp] The Hulk - 8/10 [sp] 5-7/10 [/sp]
Giving these movies high ratings makes me a little sick but giving bad movies like Ghost Rider high ratings make me vomit
nah Wolverine was way better than Man of Steel imo. I can't get over how fucking terribly written it was. Also cgi snap zooms and mega angst. and superman commits genocide on smallville and metropolis.
Also, for me anyway, Superman in the film was dull as hell. [editline]13th August 2013[/editline]
I really like movies where a "hero" is confronted by thugs and then hell just breaks loose It defines the whole movie for me. Man of Steel: 9/10 Best Superman movie ever. World War Z: 2//10 I give it two points for it actually being pretty damn intense at times and its unique take on the zambies. But I'm a fan of the book. That pretty much says it all. The Colony: 3/10 It had a good initial premise and some notably decent cinematography at times. But its a case of massively wasted potential and laughably dumb writing. Oblivion: 6/10 I did enjoy it but I feel its one of those films which spoiled its twists in the trailer.[sp]The bit where Jack encounters the other Jack was pretty cool though. But its grand reveal and why the aliens were invading was completely lacking and bleh.[/sp] Pacific Rim: 8/10 This film was simply fun. Would watch again without skipping a beat. Alan Partridge Alpha Papa: 6/10 There were some parts which were absolutely fucking hilarious but its humor did get pretty annoying at certain times (felt very forced).

Das Boot ALAAAAAARMMM/10 alternatively 9/10

In The Loop - *couldn't think of a rating, so I will say it was good*/10
Usually I can enjoy more or less any movie, disregarding a few which I can't really get into. Daredevil is one of the even fewer that I literally can not watch. Trash.
Daredevil (Director's Cut)- 3/10 Jesus fucking Christ
Forgot that had Ben Affleck in it
re: ghost rider hate. i liked the sequel. it was stupid fun, and not insulting stupid. [editline]14th August 2013[/editline] which figures, the crank guys were behind it
It didn't take itself seriously which was the biggest problem with the first film. Also Thunderstruck 3/5 I would be surprised if any of you have even heard of it. Very low budget Australia film. It's about 4 die hard AC/DC fans who steal their best friends ashes to bury him next to Bon Scott. Intentionally ridiculous, but has a fair few laughs.
District 9 10/10 Someone finally convinced me to watch it. I thought it was going to be a generic "aliens vs humans" type of movie. The ending was so damn sad though. C'mon sequel!
project x - it actually wasnt that bad. very predictable story, but still pretty fun to watch [editline].[/editline] also i ran across this really funny video related to the real incident
