The Goonies: i'm sorry but this movie blows it would be great if I was 8 or 10, but I can't watch this movie without nitpicking plot holes/logical fallacies and how contrived it really is then again, standards were pretty high (considering how I've heard everyone say that the Goonies is a classic)
brazil owns terry gilliam owns twelve monkeys own
twelve monkeys is awesome Wish Bruce would do more unconventional stuff like this or Moonrise Kingdom
Harry Potter Octalogy 8/10 The first two and the last two are my favorites. The first two had that nostalgic cozy hogwarts atmosphere that wanted you to study there as well. The last two had a great dark atmosphere. It was nice to see them slowly growing up from movie to movie. I didn't like Harry. His acting was sometimes awkward and he felt personalityless. I loved Ron and Hermione though. Though I wish they made Ron less jealous. He always lighted up the mood. They both would be nice to have as friends. The Weasley twins were some of my favorite characters as well. Luna was cute. Wish she played a bigger role. The romance between Harry and Ginny was really badly done. He started loving her out of the blue and there was no chemistry between them. The romance in the last two movies was done well better and more convincing. I liked the last movies a lot but still the battle against Voldemort was anticlimatic and they could have made it even more dramatic. But I guess they were afraid of getting a higher age rating. It held the movie back a bit. Overall I really liked the movies and now that I finished them they left me with an empty feeling.
I can tell people who liked Pacific Rim just by their smell and looks, you either are a wimpy teenager or a dumbfuck jock boy or at least have the mentality of one of them.
every once in awhile I see you post something that I sort of agree with and I'm like maybe killuah isn't that bad, then you make posts like this

I am giving my best, coherent forum posting is a very grave matter! Now let get back to movies: I saw Silver Linings and in the beginning I really really hated it. I was sitting in theater(screening in an open air bath in the evening, was rad) and while everyone was laughing about the shenanigans of the dude I couldn't. In the beginning the movie just looked like a serious movie about his issue. He was hitting his mom and dad because he couldn't find his marriage video, people were laughing and I just felt like "seriously?" His Dad is basically a batshit insane psycho that ruined his sons life while bringing him up and you just can see the terror in the eyes of his mom and people in the cinema laughed about that. Just wow. Of couse I notice that that's more of an issue with the people around me than with the movie, but when you take that away, in the beginning I just got a "wow that poor guy, this is terrible and the people around him are idiots" message. But in the end the love story - that I would usually hate when it's used in films like it was in this one, as a late addition that has nothing to do with the main issue of the movie - saved it. Because it made the movie less serious. Together with how hamfisted the whole "lets mention silver linings" and "Excelsior" issue was, the movie made me feel much less like I'm supposed to laugh about a man with a psychological issue. 5/10 [editline]17th August 2013[/editline] And of course Jennifer Lawrence, wowza. Gotta rewatch Winters Bone which was a fantastic movie.

I guess I suspect my reaction would be kind of like yours, plus I'd be distracted by some of the actors. It doesn't help that I have no idea what the movie is about (treasure hunts?)
pretty much a kid's parents are broke and will move out of the neighborhood (and away from his annoying friends), so the kid decides to go on a treasurehunt to save the family. it gets worse as you watch it
running scared - i enjoyed this one. the cinematography is really great, and also it is really well edited.i guess it makes up for the plot holes and stuff like that
You guys are crazy. The Goonies are fucking awesome and forever be awesome
Immortals (2011) - 7-8/10 Easily one of my favorite action movies now, interesting take on ancient mythology and it having been produced by Mark Canton (of 300 and the sequel to it) shows. Awesome fight scenes all through out the movie.
immortals is a ridiculous movie with no plot
I can honestly say that Immortals is one of the worst movies I've ever seen, especially being a bit of a Greek mythology buff. I'd rate it slightly higher than that Percy Jackson guano but lower than 300 and the Titans duology. Keep in mind that the one recurring theme between all these movies is that they're all fucking horrible What the hell is this bullshit? [t]http://www.aceshowbiz.com/images/still/immortals-rm08.jpg[/t] The plot was absolutely atrocious and Mark Canton is on my hate list for what he does.
dr strangelove 9/10 that last scene had me laughing my fucking ass off. spectacular movie.
Alan Partridge: Alpha Papa 9/10 Made me cry with laughter in the cinema, one of the funniest comedy films I've ever seen. I just love Alan so much.

Just got around to watching Olympus has Fallen last night. Not as good as I thought it was going to be. 6 / 10 Only real scene I like was the AC-150 basically using hacks to kill everyone in sight. I started laughing my ass off when the Washington monument fell on that one guy who was running really slow like a crippled penguin.
The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey I was surprised to find this on Netflix. I wasn't really sure what to expect since I actually knew very little about this film. It didn't seem as "epic" as LOTR, and at times it felt like it was just a comedy film (like the trolls part; [sp]you wot[/sp]), but it stepped up a bit at the end. It felt a little underwhelming really, but I think that's because I can't help comparing it to LOTR, which it probably shouldn't be. Overall it was enjoyable though and it's nice to see more of the LOTR world. 8/10

Because its an entirety different era and adventure. The book is full of goofy people doing goofy things and the adventure it kinda slow but thats what i kinda like about it. Either way, you gave a nice review.
justice league flashpoint paradox - 8/10 dc really should just stick to their animated universe, the live-action stuff will never sell as well as marvel's does.
One thing that i couldn't understand with the hobbit is that they used Cgi for the Orcs and goblins. (and i didn't get the relevance of showing two stone giants fight either) The orcs and goblins looked great in The lord of the rings and they used costumes for those... They just looked realy weird in the hobbit and it realy bugged me.
I thought the goblins looked really good.
I liked the goblins in Fellowship of the Ring a lot better, they looked terrifying.

i really..REALLY liked oblivion ( the movie with tom cruise ) it has mixed feelings but my god it was really great i would say its pretty much an 8/10 ( at my point of view )

My cousins loved it. Perfect nostalgia to show to kids The thugs antagonists are funny too especially the singing Robert Davi
momento - 9/10 wow.
Kickass 2 5/10 Movie had no heart whatsoever
Cabin in the woods 8/10 It was a hilarious crack at horror cliches all the while being SCP: The Movie
Mud 5/10 I didn't actually finish it. I thought the characters were boring and the acting (the kids, really) was rather dull, so I didn't really feel like pushing through it. Maybe it gets better, but damn is it slow.
