Space Hulk: Deathwing - Enter the Space Hulk - Trailer

This makes me so moist.
seems like such a wasted opportunity that you can't play any chapter and just call it a deathwatch team or something similar.
really hope this is good...
the main narrator guy (who also narrated the bfg trailers) is really, really bad at it
the first guy who talks in the video is fine and fits 40k

So are you gonna do all the textures and meshes for each chapter? You might wanna get to work on that pretty quick, game's coming out soon.
agreed, with this level of detail implementing Chapter-specific heraldry, even if only on Deathwatch armor, would take quite a bit of time
besides, when was the last time the Dark Angels Legion got any sort of spotlight in a game, let alone the Deathwing? Dawn of War focuses on the Blood Ravens and the Smurfs of Ultramar seem to fill 99% of other games. Storm of Vengeance doesn't count.
At least it isn't something insanely overdone like the Cadians or the Ultrasmurfs. Now that the Dark Angels are getting some spotlight, maybe we can get a Gaunts Ghosts FPS....
This could have been a deathwatch game since Deathwatch and Deathwing both eliminate xenos in their jobs.
Also there's already a deathwatch game.
there's a Deathwatch veteran among the terminators of the game, so uh it's like a 0,1% Deathwatch game i guess?

the real reason of course being that, i'm not sure if GW would be ready to take a leap like that. they have to cram Space Marinades into games or they run the risk of the general public not recognizing it as Warhammer.
as much as a solid 60 is a big plus, im honestly willing to sacrifice frames in the name of detail. I mean, I love EDF and that entire game's design doc can basically be summed up as 'frames are currency, spend em if you got em'
'Hey that CPU isn't burning a hole straight to the core of the earth yet, throw in more giant ants'.
60 FPS is a nice goal, but not everybody is going to be able to actually optimise to that level and still keep their game as they want it to be when it's a pretty absurd premise. Only wizards and John Carmack can manage both of those.

As much as I'd love a game with Catachan's or something they'll probably never do a game about someone that isn't highly recognizable. A studio with a bunch of 40k fans going out of their way to do it is the only way it would ever happen.
I hope we're not stuck to interiors the whole game, as this trailer seems to imply. Large theaters of war are better suited for conveying the immensity of the Warhammer universe. I would have loved to fight on a planet's war-torn surface while massive warmachines fight in the skybox overhead. Something akin to Halo's map design would be perfect.

It's a space hulk. They're supposed to be so claustrophobic that terminators go through the hallways in single file. The only way we get something wide open is if there are sections that take place on the outside surface of the ship
Well dammit as a Space Wolves player and fluff fan, gonna have to pass this up, aint playin as no damn Lion!

You kind of sound like you know stuff about the "Warhammer universe" but you're missing the entire point of Space Hulk which as a game series has been established since 1993.

Ah yes let's have the space hulk game take place somewhere that isn't a space hulk
God that narrator was cringey though
That word has been used to describe so much shit it's lost all meaning nowadays.
I don't know shit about hulkin in space
I don't know shit about hulkin in space
The whole point of Space Hulk is navigating inside derelict spacecrafts and exterminating filthy xenos and heretics.

Don't come back until you're a racist.

Yea I know we'll never get really any game that doesnt have a focus on Space Marines and the like. When people think of Warhammer, they think of Space Marines. A game about the Imperial Guard would basically be unmarketable to a wide audience.

Try the Ultramarine game then.

i mean an IG game is essentially bf1
i mean an IG game is essentially bf1
the first part of the BF1 campaign is basically Black Crusade Simulator from the Guard perspective, minus the raging enemy space marines - everyone dies all the time
i mean an IG game is essentially bf1
Could do a Rainbow Six style game with Scions/Kasrkins. IMO that would be dope as fuck.
i mean an IG game is essentially bf1
Yea, but its not as cool withought them lasrifles and Beyblades
Could do a Rainbow Six style game with Scions/Kasrkins. the story could get some additional meat from having them do a joint mission with other regiments' storm trooper equivalents, like Krieg grenadiers or Inquisitorial forces.

Nah he's talking about the new Beyblade pattern superheavy. The one with a bunch of laser cutters attached to all sides that spins at a high speed. The oddly bulky green looking Techpriest assures me it works fine.
Fuck what you guys are saying, Red Orchestra style game with Imperial Guard would be siiiiiick.

Baneblade, beyblade, battlebots, its all the same. It doesn't need to be balanced, it just needs to conquer the battlefield.
Plus if Sabbat Beati can kill one with a sword then it can't be that OP.
