i want to get a couple things straight 1: suicide is not a victoms crime 2:just because you getbully'ed in school you sholdnt kill yourself 3: in my opinion suicide is a somewhat corawardly thing to do. it reminds me about emos and WHY they cut themselves and cry like "i didnt get the new video game i wanted BOOO HOOO ''slice''slice'' it can also be a bit selfish at times to kill yourself think of the others who loved you why would you want to kill yourself?
because I used to wake up every day and feel nothing? Because I wished I was dead constantly? Because I felt empty and alone and like nothing was ever going to be okay again? You clearly have no understanding of the difference between a suicide attempt and a cry for help, for christs sake you can't even differentiate between a suicider and a cutter. Protip: cutters aren't trying to commit suicide, they're trying to inflict pain on their self to take away from emotional pains. In my case I was massively depressed for a period of 3 years straight. If you could ever understand how it feels to be depressed - not sad, depression has nothing to do with sadness - then you would be infinitely more sympathetic to those who take their lives. For 3 straight years I lived with feeling nothing, I couldn't be happy or sad. It ruined my social life, it ruined my romantic life, I woke up every morning and literally couldn't see a point to carrying on to the next day. What's the point in living if every day is a personal hell? I could be a millionaire rockstar but if I felt that way every day I'd kill myself without a second thought.
And if you're feeling depressed you will not ask for help since usually you will be pessimistic and will think nothing can help, so why bother.
If you have enough courage to commit suicide, then your pretty weak because you obviously haven't got enough courage to face life.

why is it anything to do with courage? I don't think you understand the thought process at all
I never really understood why people who commit suicide were considered cowards, or they're taking "the easy way out". It takes a lot of "balls" to kill yourself, and if said person is so depressed that they want to end it all why stop them? I never understood why people thought that.
No, because they still do it for themselves...
The quote obviously didn't work for you so read the book linked to in it

And you obviously don't know how to argue anything.
Bring up a counter argument for yourself.
If it shares yours, fucking interpret it. Don't be some lazy ass that acts like they are always in the right, correct, without ever actually working towards that state.

Actually, because you view it as beneficial to take yourself out of the world, you do it for other people too

But the idea of suicide being selfish is stupid any way, the quote explained it perfectly.

then you don't understand it. It's not a logical thought process, cutters aren't tied to any of that, all they know is that they feel better when they cut themselves, just like some people feel better when they drink, and some people feel better when they beat up their wife. It's a crazy world and not everything has a base in some objective unequivocal reason.
One of my friends committed suicide lately. His family wasn't an ideal one, and he had issues with his parents. He was good natured, willing to do and dare to do nearly anything. He was not a coward. He had his dreams and hopes, but I think he just chose to end it all. It's a choice in my opinion, not a case of a coward or strong willed. Something takes you to the edge, and you just make the decision.
Another example, one of my relatives (my grandfather's younger brother) hang himself, because the local bank wanted to seize his horses. He really had nothing else just those two horses and a little part of land. He woke up, fed the animals, then hanged himself in the kitchen. As I said, he made a choice. And as far as I know, he was a good man too.
Life happens, and if you can't bear what's coming, you just quit. Plain and simple.

If you trust some random schmuck's (me) opinion over an expert, you have your priorities wrong.
When an expert gets quoted in a debate it's up to the opposing side to find another expert on equal or greater standing to refute it, no anecdotes at that point are good enough

I am not trusting your view, I want you to actually debate.
I mean, clearly what I am saying doesn't display and understanding of the 'quoted expert,' from your point of view, so re-explain the quote, as Icedshot did. The more you avoid, the less anyone will want to listen.
