you should meet my brother. He flips his shit at me all the time. I rarely insult him without being provoked, and even then Im usually kidding, something he does all the time. He gets mad if he thinks I dont say something to him in the right tone, even if the tone is completely perfectly fine. Usually he just over-reacts to everything, like I saw nascar sucks (he likes nascar) he gets pissed at me, or if I do use a slight tone, he flips his shit and storms off. But recently, he has begun putting words in my mouth. I saw on an ad that there was tax on sonic, I was like "I think thats it kinda dumb dumb to get taxed on food, even if it is a luxury, its still food" and he goes " well its a luxury, you dont need it" and so Im like, ok yeah, but you still need food, but whatever, ok. so then hes like "nuh-uh, it makes complete sense" and he just argues with me, then finally says " fine, its your opinion" and Im like " yeah, it is so just stop arguing, you're not giving any reasons on why you are right" and he yells " oh, you always think you're right" Im like, umm... ok. and my mom asks what we are argueing about, so he says that Im saying its fact and hes always wrong. Im like, I never said that, so he says " yeah, you said that your right and Im wrong" so I told him what I actually said, and he called me a liar, so I asked what I would gain from lying, and when he couldnt think of anything, I said "exactly, nothing" so he goes and says, yeah, but you would do it anyway" and I tell him that I wouldnt, I have no reason to lie about that so why would I?" and he just yells that I do, and storms off to his room.

People are allowed to come by boat though, because they are legally allowed to seek asylum in another country for safety. So I've been told. The only people that are actually 'illegal immigrants' would be the people who over stay their Visa or whatever it's called.

In this thread everyone's saying "Used to" as if there was a golden age a few decades ago where everyone could do whatever they wanted without offending people, or as if society is getting stricter and stricter over time. [b]Wrong.[/b] Society has become more and more tolerant over time: if you were a woman in the 1920s you couldn't vote, and if you wore pants, you were a slut. But that's a really tame example - rather, look at things like civil rights or slavery in America. Roman persecution of christians, Salem witch trials, etc.
But there is another side, like how parents used to be able to spank and beat their kids if they were disobedient. Has society gotten more strict in the way people should treat their children, or more tolerant to kids' sanity? Both points could be argued.
However, the OP is right to an extent because lots of people are noticing society's trend, and becoming scared and trying to reverse it. Though generally these people tend to be religious fanatics who think the world was better back in the dark ages, because more people had faith before science came around...
